Chapter 13
STEVIE
Ilie to Matt through my teeth that I had no idea who those two bikers were.
By the end of the workday, I convinced him and I still have a job.
The last minutes of dusk hang on while I drive to my apartment.
It’s a small town, so most businesses have closed by now aside from a couple of restaurants and a bar.
Trees surround my apartment complex. Unfortunately, there’s poor lighting in the area, so I clutch the bottle of pepper spray I bought weeks ago.
Frost and Smokey might have left the coffee shop, but I’m not sure they left town.
My eyes browse the area before I get out of my car, locking it, and briskly walk to my apartment.
I’m not fast enough.
Someone wraps an arm around me, locking my arms to my sides, and causing the pepper spray to drop. I’m pressed against a body of muscle while at the same time a hand clamps over my mouth.
My wide eyes roll to the sides to see who it is, and then he whispers, “Don’t like bikers, huh?
” The voice isn’t Frost’s, but it sounds familiar.
“Who would have thought a rude bitch like you was fucking Frost?” He yanks my whole body, air-lifting me off the ground, and carries me to a van.
I’m kicking his shins, but it doesn’t deter him.
“I hit the lottery today. I have Frost’s bitch. ”
No, I’m not!
I’m screaming into his hand. The van door opens, and he slides us onto a bench seat as someone shuts the door. My legs kick the front seats to dislodge myself from his grip, except it doesn’t help. He tosses me to the ground, and the last thing I remember is his fist aiming toward my face.
My eyes flutter open to whispers. The ceiling is cement, along with the walls.
Rolling onto my side, and propping myself up on my hip, my hand touches my face.
I close my eyes to ward off the nausea as heat radiates from my cheek.
It’s swollen. I shuffle back to lean on the wall and now there’s no longer whispers but talking.
One of my eyes opens to a slit, and when I see who is in the room, both eyes spring open.
What the hell are the women from the hair salon doing here?
Lynette. Joslin. I believe one of them is Willow. There’s five of them.
Lynette notices me awake and asks, “Why are you here, Stevie?”
“Why are you?”
She props herself up against the wall, pressing her hand to her stomach. “These guys are from the Graves Disciples. They’re rivals of the Wolves of Mayhem.”
I remain seated and say, “So, you are connected to the Wolves of Mayhem.”
“Yep! I’m Skull’s old lady.” I scrunch my eyebrows in confusion. “Skull is the President of the MC.”
“And they kidnapped you because…”
“Most likely using us for leverage of some kind. They tricked the Wolves of Mayhem. Said they wanted to meet up to talk about both MCs businesses. Skull thought it was a good idea to learn more about what they want and where they’re headed.
He had us stay at the bar, protected by prospects while they met up.
The next thing we know, the doors are torn down, prospects beaten within an inch of their lives, and we were taken.
“What’s a prospect?”
“Why are you here?”
Still holding the wall, I use it to stand for support, and respond, “He assumes I’m Frost’s girlfriend.”
This draws out a laugh from Lynette, and a few others follow along. She’s shaking her head with a sardonic smile.
“How ironic? You didn’t want anything to do with Frost, and now you’re his old lady.”
“I’m not his old lady.”
The door opens and a huge dude with a handlebar mustache and a patch over his left eye comes into the room, grunting for us to follow him.
We walk through what looks like a warehouse.
Stacked on one side are boxes and metal containers.
Near a wall is a lone chair where he has us stand in a single file line.
From a distance, I can hear a faucet running for a while and then it’s turned off.
We all glance at one another, worried about what’s going to happen to us. The Wolves of Mayhem could have walked into an ambush and some could be dead. Or maybe they figured out it was a hoax, and found the prospects and the women missing. I pray it’s the latter.
A door creaks open, followed by footsteps, except I can’t see who is coming in. The steps grow louder until he comes into view.
Shit! It’s the guy I insulted.
I think his name is Ace. He’s the one I’ve met twice; the first time was when I had just arrived in Moose Grove.
The second time in a restaurant after having my hair fixed.
His words, watch yourself, ring in my head.
I didn’t know what he was warning me about, but I’m guessing I’ll find out soon.
My jaw widens to test how painful my cheek is, and I wince.
He must have hit me pretty hard to knock me out.
All I can hope is that nothing’s broken.
His gaze slides across all of us. “So, which one is Skull’s bitch?”
All of us remain quiet, so he steps up to each one of the women, staring down at them, and reaches me. He lifts his hand, pressing his fingers into my throbbing cheek, making me flinch and smack his hand away.
Ace laughs. “Stephanie. I never thought Frost would choose a rude, smart mouth bitch like you.”
“He didn’t choose me, because we’re not together.”
Yanking the back of my hair, he drags me into his chest, and hisses, “I didn’t give you permission to speak.”
Our eyes narrow, locked on each other, until he breaks it to survey the other women, and returns to me.
Up close, his tan, aging skin only makes him more appealing.
Like most of the bikers I’ve come across they’re solid muscle.
His jaw ticks, and he bends down, licking my face from jaw to hairline.
My eyes close, face scrunches from the act, but I remain still. No point in poking the bear.
With his fingers still entangled in my hair, he brings me over to the chair, prompting me to open my eyes as he tosses me in it. He nods to someone behind me, and then his eyes lock on mine.
Ace leans down, placing his hands on the armrests, and says, “Not with him, huh? Then what was the kiss for at the coffee place? Yeah, I saw you two while driving through town.” My memory finally catches up, yet he silences me.
“Do you go around kissing people you’re not with?
” His hand wraps around my throat, pushing me into the back of the chair.
“How about fucking? You like fucking everyone, bitch?”
I remain silent, staring into his cold eyes as his hand tightens, fingers digging into my skin.
It’s hard not to react. My face reddens and eyes tear up, scratching at his hand and wrist. I’d like to kick him in the balls, but he’s standing on my feet.
He eases up. Finally, he releases my throat, leaving me coughing and panting for air.
He walks behind the chair, facing the other women, and asks, “Which one is Skull’s old lady, Stephanie?”
My eyes lock on Lynette. She just told me she’s his old lady.
To save myself, I could snitch after what she did to me.
Have this crazy biker torture her instead of me.
Except that’s not who I am. As much as Lynette threatened to hurt me, I can’t in good conscience throw her under the bus.
I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if they maimed or killed her.
It’s bad enough I worked at a place where the dead had danced with the devil.
Where I disposed of them for the sake of the almighty dollar.
There’s no point in adding to my vulgar behavior.
Ace grabs my hand, twisting it until I scream from the pain in my wrist. When he lets it go, I hug my hand to my chest, tears pouring down my cheeks.
“I’m not going to ask you again, bitch! Which one?”
“I don’t know.”
He stands with his hands on his hips, breathing hard out of his nose, and glances around the room.
A trickle of water is to the left behind me.
Ace tugs me out of the chair, shoving me toward a step stool.
I stumble, holding my hand against me, and I catch myself.
The light ricochets off something silver in his hand, and I realize it’s a knife.
He slices at my clothes, and my arms instinctively block him.
“Please, don’t. What do you want from me?”
Ace continues, cutting at my arms and legs while I fight against him. My shirt is in rags, and my jeans are split down each side leg with blood trickling down.
He stops and smiles. “Don’t worry, Stephanie.” My name is spat out like he ate something sour. “I got what I want.”
My arms cross over my front. “I’m telling the truth. Frost and I aren’t together, and I don’t know this Skull guy.”
With his hand, he finishes tearing off my shirt, leaving me in my bra. “Make this easier for the both of us and remove your jeans.”
Through blurred vision, I scan the faces of the other women, and I see pity and fear.
I’m not going to fight him for my jeans.
They’re already blotched red from blood, so using my good hand, I remove them.
My body trembles as he circles me, trailing his finger over parts of my body while I focus on the women.
Lynette uses her fingers to indicate for me to look at her.
Joslin moves closer to her and nods. They want to help me through this ordeal.
To focus on them, which I’m trying to do instead of what Ace is about to do to me.
We all know he’s going to rape me and this has my body visibly shaking.
He calls someone over, and they take my wrists and tie them with a rope, which has me screaming in pain.
Ace backs me up, hooking the rope over a large hook hanging from a chain on the ceiling.
Then the hook rises, bringing me along with it until I’m dangling a foot off the floor.
The scorching pain has me vomiting over my front.
Ace walks up to me, smiles, and tears the rest of my clothes off.
Naked, I’m swaying from the hook like a dead pig.
My head falls back to look at the hook, and then it dangles downward to concentrate on the floor.
“You’re not a very nice person, Stephanie.
Always on the rude side. And then I find out your Frost’s bitch.
” He grabs my hair, pulling my head up to look at him.
“Do you know what that fucker did?” I let out a shaky no.
“No?” He frees my hair, head falling forward, and his shoes click on the concrete, circling me like a shark.
“Let me tell you. Your asshole boyfriend killed my brother.”
My head lifts a little, snot dripping down my face. Then he smacks me so hard, the hook swings to the sides. I clench my teeth to absorb the pain. Behind me, he slaps my ass several times, the burn turning hot. This has him laughing.
“Frost went to a bar, came across my brother, and killed him. He went to prison, but it wasn’t long enough.” There’s a pause before he adds, “And now he’s going to pay…well, more like you’re going to pay for him killing my brother, along with refusing to tell me who Skull’s old lady is.”
He slaps my breasts and pussy, and I shrink back, which only pisses him off.
He opens my legs and shoves a finger inside me.
Ace is so angry it feels like he’s gouging out my insides, and I bite the inside of my cheek to stop from screaming.
Slamming a finger inside, and then another finger in my ass finally causes me to shriek from the harsh invasion.
Ace glances at the women. “Look! My own pig skewer. Oink for me, bitch.”
He stuffs two fingers further into my ass and pussy, the knuckles rimming me to the point I feel like I’m going to split, so I let out a painful oink.
His head falls back as he laughs. While sobbing, Ace continues to batter my pussy and ass.
When he takes his fingers out, he smells them, and makes a disgusted face.
One of his men comes over with a towel for him to wipe his hands off.
“Filthy bitch. Figures being Frost’s.”
Someone wipes water-soaked sponges down my back.
I hear a buzzing, and then bolts of electricity shoot through my body, which has me involuntarily vibrating from the tingles and zaps at my nerves.
I accidentally bite my tongue right before the electricity shuts off, and the taste of blood trickles down my chin.
The women are quietly crying, and Ace says, “Watch and learn, ladies. This will happen to all of you if Skull’s old lady doesn’t step forward.”
I’m moaning in pain, in a daze, my head lolling from one side to the other. Through the slits in my eyes, I see Ace unzipping his pants, dropping them to his knees, and grabbing my thighs to part my legs. A sob escapes me.
“Once I’m done with you, bitch, Frost won’t want to touch you.”
Ace rams his cock inside me. His fingers dig into my thighs, fucking me hard. More water on my back, and then jolts of electricity at a lesser degree. Even so, I’m howling in pain from the shocks and Ace fucking me. My shrieks drown out everything else.
“Oh yeah, that’s it—”
In an instant, the electricity and Ace are gone.
