Chapter 17 #3

“I have a remedy for broken hearts,” she said, tilting the vodka into Hiro's mouth. He downed it in the blink of an eye.

“I don't think that's a good idea.” I watched the Amperian, who was approaching like an ebony wolf.

“Leaving isn't a good option either. You got all dressed up and already did the hardest part, which was getting here.” Her breath sent shivers down my spine. “Stay with us. I promise we'll have fun.”

Aish looked me in the eyes, and when I didn't say anything, she raised the shot of vodka to her lips and downed it, then brought the last glass to mine. An invitation.

She was right about getting dressed up and coming here—it had been a hell of a lot of work.

An idea sparked in my head. I would stay and give Breno time to cool down.

Maybe by the end of the party he'd be ready to hear my explanation.

I smiled at Aish and leaned in, pressing my lips to the glass.

She counted to three and tipped the shot into my mouth.

The liquid burned going down, and I couldn't help making a face.

“A newbie! What a pleasure to be the first person you get drunk with,” she said with a smile. She set the glass on a tray and grabbed three more.

“You're aware that half the people here don't like me, right? And the other half only doesn't hate me because they haven't met me yet.”

“Don't worry,” Hiro said, moving closer. “We'll take care of you.”

She started dancing and Hiro soon joined her.

The two of them pulled me along excitedly, moving my arms like I was some clumsy rag doll.

I reluctantly joined in, moving my body more out of obligation than desire, just so they'd give me space.

I was too sad and worried about Breno to enjoy anything at the party.

Aish tipped another vodka into Hiro's mouth, then moved closer to bring one to my lips.

I wondered where Breno was and scanned the crowd for him, but Aish cupped my face in her hands, forcing my gaze to stay on her, and offered me another shot. I accepted without hesitation.

Minutes later, the music shifted to something more upbeat and I started feeling alive again, swaying my numb limbs with more vigor. One more drink and people became attractive. Another shot and I couldn't remember what I'd been looking for in the crowd.

I don’t know when I started losing track of time and space, but soon I found myself letting my guard down, smiling at everyone, letting Hiro and Aish touch me, doing things I’d never do sober.

I felt incredible, exhilarated, so I wrapped my arms around Aish’s neck and let Hiro position himself behind me, his hands on my waist. This was the first night I let myself truly live, the first time I felt like a normal girl.

Euphoria and happiness collided in my chest, warm and numbing, while all my fears and insecurities were swept away. Aish was so close I could smell her breath—mint and vodka. It seemed... pleasant.

Another shot of vodka was poured down my throat, and this time it didn’t taste bad—in fact, I couldn’t even remember what it was supposed to taste like. I was aware that something was worrying me, but the music whispered in my ears and everything else was irrelevant when only that moment mattered.

Aish pulled Hiro closer and he wrapped his arms around her waist, staring at her lips like he was hypnotized. She smiled at him and took the eighth shot of vodka, then brought another to his lips, and as soon as he finished swallowing, she pulled him into a kiss.

A deep, sexy, lingering kiss. Hiro was caught off guard, but quickly held her tight, running his hands down Aish’s back and gripping her hip.

I watched Aish bite his lower lip and pull it slowly until she released it completely, and when she finally let him go, Hiro had the expression of a man who’d just won the lottery. And I was probably gaping.

Not because I found it too explicit or vulgar, but because I wanted that—wanted to know what it tasted like.

Aish turned to me and, noticing my hungry look, smiled. A mischievous, sensual smile. My brain wasn’t processing images very well, but something told me the Amperian’s lips were the most beautiful thing at the party.

“We Amperians know how to share,” she said as she moved closer, her breasts brushing against mine.

The contact made my body react with confusion at feeling attracted to a woman.

Either way, I didn’t care about any of that anymore—my hormones had been going haywire since the day I fell naked on top of Zion in the locker room, and today was the climax.

Hiro leaned in and spoke into my other ear:

“And I think three can have even more fun than two.” He moved in from behind, closing the gap and pressing his body against mine.

The sensation of two bodies against me was almost surreal, especially since I’d never felt any of this before, never been touched this way.

I kept dancing, savoring that touch as much as I could without daring to do more.

I didn’t know the limits of this kind of thing, so I preferred to just enjoy what they gave me, afraid of doing something wrong.

After a moment, Aish turned to grab two more drinks.

“Have you ever kissed anyone, Kyller?” she asked, curious.

“No,” I replied, closing my eyes and continuing to dance. She pressed even closer, placing a hand on my neck as she whispered in my ear.

“Want to try?”

I knew this was important to me, but I was so caught up in the moment that now seemed like a good time to try anything.

“Yes.”

“With me or with Hiro?”

Her hands slid over my shoulders, brushing my hair back.

“With both,” I replied, lost in the rhythm of the music.

The Amperian smiled like a cat with a secret. Then she looked me in the eyes and brought the drink to her lips, the other glass to mine. We drank at the same time, and my heart raced, knowing what would come next.

She approached slowly, beautiful, sensual, and free like a goddess of pleasure.

The tip of her nose touched my cheek and her breath filled my senses.

Aish smelled like peaches. I didn’t know exactly what to do, but soon I felt her kiss the corner of my lips, as if testing my reaction, waiting for some sign that I was enjoying it.

When I touched her face with my hand, she finally kissed me.

Just a touch, a second, a flutter of wings.

She tasted my lips, moving hers against mine.

It was slow, exploratory, and sweet. In anatomy class, I’d studied the nerve endings in the mouth and knew there were thousands in that area.

What I felt now was Aish igniting every single one, and the sensation was nothing short of incredible.

Her delicate lips coaxed mine to want more, giving me space to discover what I wanted to do.

Seconds passed and she pulled away. There was a gorgeous smile on her perfect face, and I returned it shyly.

“What did you think?” she asked, still keeping me close.

“Good,” I whispered, a little dazed. “But don’t kisses need tongue?”

“Not necessarily,” she explained, her hands trailing along my neck, caressing my ear. “Do you want to try with tongue?”

“I do,” I replied, my heart pounding.

Aish turned me toward Hiro, and now we reversed positions. She stayed behind me, pressing her body against mine, while Hiro took my hands and placed them on his shoulders, caressing my face.

Aish’s hands explored the area just below my breasts as she pulled my hair to the side, kissing my neck from behind. A wet sound escaped my lips before I could even register it. Gods, that felt good. I never thought a kiss on the neck could feel so good.

Hiro placed his hands on my waist and moved closer, pressing his body to mine. He was much taller than me, and I had to stand on tiptoe. His hand wandered over my face, his eyes taking me in.

“You okay?” he asked, his eyes lingering on me. I smiled hazily, but even drunk, I could tell he was checking if I was comfortable.

“Yes,” I murmured, happy to be touched like that.

He leaned down slowly, his lips meeting mine without hesitation.

It was a direct kiss—just like him. It wasn’t gentle like Aish’s; his touch was more aggressive, yet skillful.

His soft lips claimed my mouth hungrily.

I kissed him back, pressing myself against him as his mouth guided mine in slow, deep movements while I ran my hands through his hair—too short to grab onto.

Deep in my mind, I felt something stirring. I couldn’t tell what it was, but it was bothering me.

Hiro nibbled my lower lip and tugged it slowly, drawing a moan of pleasure from my throat.

Then he traced my lower lip with his tongue, and I opened my mouth to let him in.

His tongue met mine, and he moved his lips as if coaxing me to respond, so I did, matching his rhythm.

And wow! Kissing Hiro Zois was really good.

I wondered why I’d never tried it before.

Aish’s hand slid up to the base of my breast, her fingers caressing a sensitive spot there. The touch made me moan involuntarily into Hiro’s mouth, earning me another delicious bite.

Now the discomfort shifted from mild to maddening. It felt like something was hammering inside my head.

“Wait,” I said to Hiro, pulling away and blinking against the headache that was devouring me.

“Did I do something wrong?” Hiro looked at me with concern. His eyes were green, but the wrong shade...

Something was missing. Something.

Two blue-green eyes flooded my mind. They held a touch of desperation.

Suddenly I remembered. The problem was that Hiro’s eyes, though beautiful, weren’t war eyes—and what was screaming in my head was the bond, protesting that this was deeply wrong.
