CHAPTER SIX

“Where the fuck did they go?” he growled.

“We’re not sure, Mr. Giamanco. The boys are looking at the video from the parking lot now.”

“That bitch owes me money and I want my fucking money. Plus, we’ve got a buyer interested in her just like the others.

” He smiled at the men in the room. They often had buyers interested in purchasing the girls for weekends, months, even years at a time.

Of course, they rarely saw the women again but that wasn’t the point. He was losing money.

“We’ll find her,” said one of the men.

“This buyer is special, Marco. He doesn’t just want her body, he wants her mind. Half the reason we chose her was because of what she was working on at Duke. Fucking bitch is a brainiac and we want what’s in her head.”

“We got a plate on his truck,” said a man running into the room. “He lives in an apartment complex near the base.”

“Is he military?” asked their boss.

“Not sure,” said the man.

“Either way. Go get her,” he frowned.

He watched as the men left the office and then stared at the woman who’d been sitting quietly in the corner, her knees drawn up to her chest. Her brown hair no longer had the same shine it once did. Her brown eyes, dull and lifeless.

She’d been useful in getting the blonde but then became too demanding.

Unlike many of his colleagues, he didn’t like his women drugged.

He wanted them awake, alert, and willing.

If they weren’t willing, he forced them to become willing.

This one had taken everything he dished out which only made the appeal disappear more quickly.

“Al!” he yelled. A man ducked his head inside the door.

“Yes, sir?”

“Get her out of my sight. Permanently.” The woman stirred slightly, staring up at the big man walking toward her.

“Wh-what? No. No, Tomas. No, I’ll do anything,” she pleaded.

“You’ve already done everything I asked. I don’t need you anymore,” he said staring at the woman.

“No! Wait, wait, I have information about Marissa. Information you need.”

“Take her,” he said leaving the office.

“Sorry, kiddo,” said Al. “Boss is done with you.”

She said nothing as he dragged her out back and into the forest behind the big house. She’d watched him do this with other women and half-expected to see a mound of dead bodies. Instead, it was a small clearing.

“Please, Al. Just let me go.”

“No can do, kiddo. It will all be over soon.” She stared at him and then started laughing. She was laughing so hard, he thought she might be losing her mind.

“You guys are all so screwed. Her family will come for you and when they do, you’re dead.”

“Wha-,” he started. The pistol firing behind him stopped him dead in his tracks as he watched the woman fall to the cold ground.

“Boss needs you back at the house,” said the younger man.

He stared at the kid, not sure whether he believed him or not. He hated the guy and couldn’t put his finger on why. He was an outsider. Someone that helped the boss out and was given a job. Beyond that, he couldn’t figure out why he bugged him so much.

“Right. Next time wait until I’m done with her. She had something to say,” said Al.

“Well, I can arrange for you to hear it,” smirked the younger man.

“You’ve got fucking balls, I’ll give you that,” he sneered. “Stay out of my way. Bury the girl.”

“Sure thing, Al.”

As Al walked away, the younger man stared at his retreating back. He hated them all but he’d get his revenge soon enough. He stared at the dead girl and tossed her over his shoulder. Walking deeper into the woods, he found the spot he wanted and began digging.

When the hole was opened and her body laid out on top of the others, he took the photo, sent it, and deleted it.

“Sorry, kid. You fucked with the wrong people.”
