Epilogue

Aubrey

The past year has been more than anything I could’ve ever dreamed. When Klutch moved back to Palm Heights after his tour finished, he wasted no time moving me into his crib. And every day since has felt like a fairytale. I literally have a man who goes above and beyond to keep a smile on my face.

Sitting on our bed, I was greasing my freshly clean skin with cocoa butter. Klutch came strolling into the room. His eyes lit up the moment he saw my nakedness.

I shook my head. “Uh-uh. We don’t got time for that,” I stated, already knowing what he’s thinking.

My man couldn’t keep his hands off me to save his life.

That’s the reason why we’re about to be parents now.

I missed my appointment to get my birth control.

And Klutch was around here painting my walls like he was Picasso.

Despite me telling him not to. Don’t get it twisted.

I’m excited for my Cuddles. But being a mother came a lot sooner than I expected.

However, I couldn’t ask for a better person to go through this experience with.

Klutch has been there every step of the way, reminding me that I’m not alone.

When morning sickness was kicking my ass, he was right there holding my hair and rubbing my back with a ginger ale waiting for me when I got finished.

When my back aches, he held my stomach to relieve the pressure rubbing my swollen feet for hours.

And on the days my emotions are running high, he allows me to feel whatever I’m feeling without getting upset.

My man has truly spoiled me rotten over the past seven months.

Getting up in the middle of the night to go grab whatever food or snacks I crave.

I didn’t think it was possible to fall any deeper for him, but he proved me wrong. With the way he caters to me, and his excitement for fatherhood.

After finding out the gender of our daughter.

He wasted no time buying every baby item you could think of.

The nursery room was already set up and prepared for her arrival.

We honestly didn’t need to have a baby shower, but our family and friends still wanted the opportunity to show support.

So, Chastity and Spring decided to throw us a shower.

Which is today… the reason why we don’t have time for what he’s trying to do.

“Come on, love. I’ll make it quick,” he said, bringing me out of my thoughts.

“Yeah. You’re definitely not getting none,” I rolled my eyes. “Talking about, I’ll make it quick,” I mocked.

His eyebrow raised. “You sure about that?” He quizzed.

Klutch pulled the sweatpants he was wearing down and pulled out his dick.

Leaning against the door frame he stared at me as he spit in his hand and began stroking his meat.

Klutch is not playing fair. He knows since getting pregnant my hormones have been having me extremely horny.

And it seems it’s only gotten worse over the last few months.

“Devonte,” I whined.

“What’s up, love?” he causally asked. As if he wasn’t trying to provoke me into having sex.

“Why are you doing this right now?”

“You won’t give me none, so I gotta beat one out.”

The sight of precum oozing out his tip sent a throbbing sensation to my pussy. Needing to soothe the ache between my legs I spread them open and slipped my hand between my thighs drawing circles on my clit. Instead of bringing me the pleasure I needed it seemed to only intensify the aching feeling.

“Bae, come fuck me,” I begged, needing him buried deep inside of my walls.

Licking his lips. “Sayless.”

Klutch wasted no time walking over to me with his dick swinging. He flipped me over onto my front. I climbed up on my knees. Arching my back… giving him the perfect view. My eyes rolled back as he slipped inside of me.

A COUPLE HOURS LATER

“How the hell y’all gon’ show up late to your own baby shower?” Chastity fussed, the moment we got close to the door of the venue.

The quickie that Klutch mentioned turned into a full-blown session.

That moved from the bedroom to the shower.

By the time we got done it was already an hour past the time we were supposed to be here.

Then I had to redo my make-up along with getting dressed a part of me wanted to say forget it, and stay home, but I knew my besties would have my head.

“My bad cuz. I got a little caught up.” Klutch wrapped his arm around my neck. He leaned over placing a kiss on my temple.

Chas turned her lips up.

“I bet. Come on. Everyone has been waiting on y’all.”

She tapped on the door before pulling it open and held it for us to walk inside. 50 Cent’s, “Baby By Me” blared through the building as Klutch and I entered the venue. Pink smoke filled the floor with thick clouds, and the sparkle machines went off… showering like a fountain.

“Let’s give it up one time for the parents to be,” Rio spoke into the mic.

Our family and friends buzzed with excitement. Tears welled up in my eyes from the overwhelming love and support. Everyone was here—his manager, record label owner, bodyguards, friends, and family. And I was surrounded by my loved ones, close friends, and a few coworkers.

Chastity and Spring had gone all out for our baby shower.

The theme was Once Upon a Time. Pink was plastered everywhere.

There was a large Once Upon A Time book backdrop set up with pink, white and gold balloons arranged around it.

Our photo from the maternity shoot was covering the floor.

The tables were decorated with pink tablecloths, flowers and carriages centerpieces.

The area for us to sit was surrounded by pink and white flower towers and butterfly lights.

A rose wall sat behind the couch. Our daughter initial in graved in the center with a crown hanging over it.

The food and dessert table sat in front of a pink castle.

We made our way to the table where my mother, his aunt, and Ms. Pearly were seated. My mother was the first to stand and greet us with a warm smile.

“You two look stunning together,” she said, releasing me to hug him next.

Klutch and I were matching—me in a flowing pink dress with long sleeves, adorned with rhinestones and a daring front slit that revealed my leg and one of the silver heels that I wore.

My hair was styled in a sleek, black collarbone-length bob.

Klutch sported a pink polo shirt, black jeans, and white forces.

“Thank you, ma,” I replied.

“Hey, baby,” his auntie greeted him with a hug, and he responded with a kiss on her cheek. Her gaze shifted to me as they parted. “Ooh, I love that dress. How’s baby girl treating ya?” she asked, gently rubbing my belly.

“She keeps me on my toes. I can never get comfortable, always needing to pee,” I pouted.

“Ah, I remember those days. The worst,” she laughed.

My mother nodded in agreement, reminiscing about how my siblings and I shaped her body during pregnancy. His auntie joined in sharing her own pregnancy stories.

“I’m about to go speak to my folks,” Klutch whispered in my ear. I pouted slightly, and he chuckled. “I’ll be back,” he said, planting a quick kiss before heading off.

“If only I were twenty years younger,” Ms. Pearly murmured behind me. I whipped my head in her direction, giving her a playful glare. “Don’t get yourself beat up in here.”

I talked with them for a little while longer before my stomach started talking to me. Excusing myself, I headed over to the table with the food. My mouth watered at how delicious everything smelled. I almost broke a fingernail from how fast I grabbed a plate.

“Damn.” I looked over my shoulder to see Rod standing his apple head ass there. “That’s a lot of food.”

“Don’t worry about me, and mine,” I sassed.

Things with us were still on the fence. His words had hurt me more than any man could’ve ever.

And my way of coping was to keep my distance.

I still talked to Spring daily and hung out with her often, but I no longer went by their house.

Rod had been trying his hardest to get back on my good side.

I wouldn’t budge, though. I’m tired of him saying whatever when he gets upset and then pretend thing is cool afterwards.

I didn’t cut him completely off, not wanting to rob my daughter of having her uncle in her life.

“Abby, when you gon’ let that shit go? A nigga has apologized a million times. What more do you want?”

It’s taking everything in me not to curse him clean out, right now. Instead, I chose to take the high road.

“You’re my brother, and I love you. One day we’ll be able to move past things. But today ain’t that day.”

He opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off by Que.

“Big Mama,” Que wrapped his arm around my neck pulling me into his body. Placing a kiss on top of my head. “What y’all over here talking about?”

“Nothing.” Rod stormed off. I shook my head at his childish ass.

“What’s his problem?”

We watched as Rod pushed past Spring when she tried talking to him. She followed him out the door. Making me roll my eyes. I couldn’t understand how she put up with his immature behavior. The nigga throws more temper tantrums than a toddler.

“His ass needs to grow up,” I stated. Turning my attention back to fixing my plate.

“Shit, that goes for both of y’all.” He chuckled at the face I made. But I didn’t see what was funny though. How am I the one who needs to grow up? When all I did was hold a mothafucka accountable. “On the real. It’s time to forgive him and move on.

“So, I’m supposed to be okay with the way he spoke to me?”

“No, but you got understand where he was coming from though. Don’t no brother want to see his sister get her heart broken.

So, to see you with a nigga that is known for dogging women it made us go into protective mode.

Rodney went about shit the wrong way, but it’s only ‘cause he wanted to protect you.”

I heard what he was saying. However, I couldn’t just waltz past the situation that easily. Rod, and I will get back cool when the time comes. Right now, my only focus is being a mother, and my relationship.

The rest of the evening went smoothly. Klutch came over to our designated seating area when he saw me eating.

We ended by sharing the plate of food. Good vibes filled the air.

Rio was doing his thing, playing back-to-back hits.

Keeping everyone up on their feet dancing.

Spider, Que, and Klutch had us laughing our ass off during the games.

They were being so competitive and Spider was cheating the entire time.

Today had been nothing short of amazing.

I was really grateful for our loved ones, and the way they showed up for us.

Baby girl has more stuff than she’ll ever need.

“What’s up family. I want to thank everyone for coming out to celebrate the welcoming of our baby girl. And we appreciate y’all for all the gifts.” Klutch spoke into the microphone. “Before the night ends. I have one more gift that I want to give my love.”

Jesse Powell’s “You” began playing. Klutch sang along with the lyrics while getting down his knee.

A smile etched across my face. In the midst of singing, he pulled a small black box out, opening it.

My hand flew to my mouth at the sight of the beautiful four carat princess cut ring, encircled by a halo of small diamonds.

“I never thought I would settle down or fall in love. Yet you managed to get me to do all of that in a short time frame. Every day I wake up, a better man because of you. And as long as I got breath in my body, I’ll continue to be the man that you, and our daughter can depend upon.

You’ll never have to worry about me breaking y’all hearts.

I want to spend the rest of my life waking up next to you.

I want to continue building a family with you.

And even on our bad days, you’re the only person I want to give my heart to. ”

The tears rolled down my face as I listened to the words Klutch spoke.

“Love, will you be my wife?”

“Yes! Yes! Yes!” I squealed.

After he slipped the ring on my finger. I cupped his face in my hands, my lips finding his in a deep, intimate kiss. In that moment, everything else faded away — it was just him and me, lost in the moment.

It’s crazy how things went from being Just for the weekend to me carrying his child, and now his fiancé.

The End…..
