Chapter Four

Getting the chance to drive Blaze’s custom Shelby Cobra had been amazing.

Nineteen sixty-five was his favorite year too, as far as body style went.

It was literally his dream car. Being inside Blaze’s house made him forget the drive.

The place wasn’t huge, but it was cool as hell.

He had an indoor pool that flowed into the outdoor pool.

The entire room looked like a tropical paradise and smelled like it too.

German was in love with the entire setup.

His kitchen had two chef-style double stoves and a walk-in wine room that kept the bottles at the perfect temperature.

There was a door that looked like a cabinet that opened up to a pantry that was every bit as big as the guest bedrooms. He had so many cool little techy things in his house that German didn’t know where to look.

The place was definitely a smart home. None of that compared to watching Blaze.

Blaze moved from closet to closet to the wardrobe before ending up at the bed. He matched outfits and planned for various weather. There was also a suit and tux mixed in the bunch. Still, Blaze didn’t pack anywhere near as much as German expected.

“Will you make it through six months with this?”

A blinding smile appeared on Blaze’s face. “We’re not gone the entire six months. There’re breaks in between and there’s a washer and dryer on the bus.”

“Really?” German couldn’t picture that.

Blaze focused on him with confusion etching his features. “I thought you had guarded all sorts of celebrities over the years. You haven’t seen a tour bus?”

German shrugged. “Most of my clients have been athletes and actors. Until Valon, I’d never worked for a musician, and I was a property guard at Valon’s.”

Blaze’s brow furrowed. “I’ve never heard of a bodyguard guarding property.”

Damn. He had to be careful to avoid breaking a non-disclosure agreement. While Blaze was close to Valon, that didn’t mean he knew about Valon’s stalking situation. “I was still guarding him. It was my job to make sure no one got past me to force Marc to hurt someone.”

Blaze grabbed his phone. “Speaking of hurting someone, I need to call my mom.”

Before German could offer to give him privacy, the sound of ringing filled the air.

“Hello?”

“Hey, Mom. How’s it going?”

German couldn’t look away from his smile. It was obvious Blaze loved his mom.

“Hey, baby. Everything is going great here. How’re things going with you? You leave tomorrow, right?”

An unwanted jealousy scratched at German’s stomach.

“Things are good. Yeah, I’m packing as we speak.”

“Don’t forget to pack clean underwear.”

Blaze rolled his eyes. “Really? I planned to pack only dirty pairs.”

“I heard that eye roll, Justin Jay. Don’t be a smartass.”

Blaze’s smile and sexy chuckle melted German’s insides. German forgot to be envious.

“Oh, by the way, our Fourth of July slash birthday celebration isn’t starting until after two this year.

Denise landed an internship at the hospital and has an overnight shift.

Of course, you know how it goes. The fourth is still a month away.

I’ll probably call a hundred times between now and then, trying to accommodate everyone. ”

“Internship?” Blaze’s forehead furrowed. “I thought internships were something you did after college.”

“Oh. I forgot to tell you. She did some program that let her graduate early. Before you get irritated, they didn’t have a ceremony. If she wants, she can still walk at their fall graduation, but she’s just ready to get to work.”

“Nice. I’ll send her a gift or something.”

The phone sounded as if it rustled around on his mom’s end. “Sorry, baby. I hate to cut this short, but Dara is here with Ben.”

Blaze kept folding clothes and packing. “No problem. I was just phoning in my daily proof of life.”

A musical laugh came through the phone. “Be careful heading out tomorrow. I love you.”

“Love you too.”

The phone went silent.

Blaze zipped his suitcase before meeting German’s stare. “Do you want to come to Maine with me for my forgotten birthday on the Fourth? I can’t promise it’ll be fun, but the food will be good.”

Damn. This really was turning into a genuine friendship. “Sounds great.”

After Blaze put his suitcase on the floor, he crawled onto the bed.

To German’s surprise, he kept coming until he straddled German.

“Now, real talk.” Blaze watched his hands as he ran them up German’s chest. “Do you really prefer to watch, or are you just scared to touch me?” Blaze’s gaze met his. Challenge flashed in his eyes.

German grabbed Blaze’s ass and hauled him closer. “I’m not scared of shit.”

Blaze’s hands linked behind German’s neck. “Oh, so you’re just a liar.”

An unexpected laugh burst from German. Blaze’s smile was irresistible and contagious.

The back of his head hit the headboard behind him.

He eyed Blaze. “It’s pretty crazy how I’d rather be with you, watching, than with anyone else, even if I get to participate.

” If German had said those words to anyone else, he might have been embarrassed.

For some reason, he never felt awkward or ashamed with Blaze.

It was the way Blaze looked at people—like they were alone even in a crowd.

His entire demeanor screamed that anyone could tell him anything without judgment. German couldn’t get enough.

“I’m going to kiss you now.”

German might have laughed at the warning, but he wanted Blaze too much.

Then Blaze’s lips touched his and nothing mattered.

Time stopped. A heartbeat passed, and then Blaze’s tongue was in his mouth.

German would have liked to claim he stayed respectful, but he couldn’t.

He touched Blaze everywhere he could reach. His entire body was ready to go.

Blaze pulled away and patted German’s chest as he moved to crawl away. “You know what you need? You need a beer.”

German didn’t think. He acted. In a flash, he had Blaze rolled beneath him, taking back the kiss he desperately craved.

Blaze chuckled. The sound died on a moan as German rocked against him.

He wasn’t above making Blaze fly while still fully clothed.

German would make out like a teen. He didn’t care.

The truth was, he had wanted Blaze since the first night they spoke, and that longing had stuck.

Each time he heard Blaze’s name, saw his face, or heard his voice, German swore his insides seized with unquenched desire.

Not this time. Until Blaze asked him to stop or told him no, German would accept as much as he could get.

There was a very real possibility Blaze would never see or speak to him again after today.

Steel might never need him for their tour.

Even if he did, Blaze could easily pretend they never touched, and there would be nothing he could do about it.

The Fourth of July thing was only words until Blaze actually took German with him.

But what was real was Blaze beneath him now.

The desperation was palpable. He prayed the day wouldn’t end.

Before leaving Valon’s, Blaze had taken a quick shower, thrown on some workout pants and t-shirt from a duffle in his car, and headed out.

Now nothing but thin pants covered an erection that ached to be touched.

German had his fingers linked through Blaze’s, and kept his arms pinned above his head.

He couldn’t touch German or do anything to relieve the pressure building in his cock.

German kept rocking against him. Blaze had a bad feeling he would embarrass himself before the end.

Not once had Blaze blown from only making out.

That seemed ridiculous, but then again, he had never experienced this.

Blaze was the star. Anyone in his bed just felt lucky to be there, and Blaze did what he wanted.

That wasn’t conceit. That was the reality of being him.

Blaze didn’t think German would let him be in control. He had to admit his take-charge attitude made him hot.

“I want to touch you.” The confession slipped out the moment his mouth was free.

“No.” German changed angles and went right back to kissing him. His hips pivoted, grinding his erection on Blaze’s through their clothes.

Blaze’s ass left the bed, chasing him. He couldn’t believe how close he was to coming.

Blaze couldn’t focus on anything other than the way German’s body moved against him.

Then a guttural moan vibrated through their kiss.

That was the final piece needed to send him flying.

He wished he could stay quiet and not humiliate himself, but no. He moaned and whimpered—writhed.

German’s kiss softened. The way his breathing had turned ragged made Blaze realize he hadn’t been alone in that orgasm. That made things a lot less embarrassing.

“Why do you make me do things I never would?”

German’s softly spoken question between kisses punched Blaze in the chest. They equally felt out of their depth. That brought a whole new perspective to this. They were unique to each other. This wasn’t one-sided or a onetime thing. This was a growing addiction.

“Maybe we should do this again sometime and find out.”

German pulled away and stared down at Blaze. “Steel called me in this morning to ask me to be on call for your tour. He wants me to step in if anyone gets sick or whatever. I was scared to tell you. I worried you might tell me you don’t want to see me again.”

“No. I definitely want to see you again. In fact, I might hobble a guard to get you there.”

German’s body shook with silent laughter. His forehead dropped to Blaze’s shoulder. “Oh, God. I don’t have anything else to wear.”

Blaze burst out laughing. He still reeled from blowing cum in his pants. Blaze hadn’t thought about the aftermath. “Don’t worry. I’ve got you.”

German’s head lifted again. “There’s no way I can wear anything you own.”

Blaze shrugged. “I didn’t offer. I said I’ve got you. That’s two different things. It’ll require you giving me your pants, though.” Blaze couldn’t stop the heat in his tone.

German smiled. “I can do that.”

Blaze could smell trouble from a mile away, and all his alarms were blaring. He was in so much danger right now. Not once had he feared any man who touched him. This was different. German could easily steal his heart, and Blaze was not okay.
