Chapter 48

forty-eight

His eyes trailed Kamilla up the stairs and saw she had nothing on under that shirt.

When they were out of view, he opened the door.

Instantly, he curled his lip. He looked back up the stairs, hearing the giggles of his family and stepped out.

Without asking a question, he punched Armon in the chest and watched him tumble off the porch, gasping for air.

“I was having a good morning. Kissing on my woman, playing with my son, and here you go,” Cairo huffed, walking down the steps. When he reached Armon, he kicked him in the ribs with his bare feet. “This no shoe rule is gonna fuck me up.”

Armon gasped and coughed. The bouquet of flowers left abandoned a few feet away.

“Nigga, I didn’t even hit you that hard.” Cairo squatted down and looked at him flailing all over the good grass. “This some nice grass. Too nice for your bitch ass to be rolling in it. Didn’t I tell you that if you so much as breathed her air, I was going to make you fuckin’ disappear. Didn’t I?”

For added affect Cairo grabbed the bouquet and beat him with them until Armon was covered in stems and petals. Armon struggled to get up and Cairo peeped the scene, thankful that her neighborhood had a good amount of space between the houses.

Cairo plucked Armon in eye and grunted. “I’m giving you a chance to speak your piece, nigga.”

“I just want to talk to her,” Armon whined, holding his eye. Only for Cairo to pluck him in the other. “Oweee.”

“Nigga shut your goofy ass up. Louder than a bitch getting fucked out here,” Cairo frowned.

Rummaging through Armon’s pockets, he took out his wallet.

Grabbing his license and locking in his address, Cairo pushed out an annoyed puff of air.

“Tell you what. I’m looking forward to getting in the pool with my boy, dicking his momma down while he naps, and doing the whole daddy shit.

I’ll give you a head start; when I get there, I’ll give you this back. Run.”

Armon struggled to his feet and staggered to his car.

“Tick tock, nigga. Tick fuckin’ tock,” Cairo taunted, watching Armon hop inside the car and speed off. “I’m gon’ blow that nigga up. Damn, days without explosives... zero.”

Cairo strolled back inside the house, secured the door, and walked up the stairs. Inside Kamilla’s bedroom, he watched as she washed his son’s face. “Ay, KaiKai.”

Kairo’s eyes popped to his father and nodded just like him. “What’s up?”

Kamilla chuckled.

“I promised you the pool, go get your trunks,” Cairo directed and his son jumped to the tune.

“Who was at the door?” Kamilla asked, cleaning up behind Kairo.

“Your boyfriend. You had him here?”

“You want me to cuss you out again asking me something crazy like that?” Kamilla posed. “Here’s the list of men who’ve been around your son – Nate, Fredo because that’s his pop, Haddon, Lucci, Charlie, and Rowdy. No one else.”

“You don’t seem too worried that nigga is popping up. I’ll get to the Fredo shit in a second.”

Kamilla stopped what she was doing and turned to look at him.

“I’m not. Why should I be worried when my baby daddy handles shit.

I’m not saying go to jail, but I do know you gave him a warning because he’s called and cried about it on my voicemail, but I blocked him. So, handle it, baby daddy. After…”

“After what?” Cairo asked, raising his brow while Kamilla took the shirt and tossed it in the laundry bin.

“Take your son to the pool and if I’m not busy, mine might be available. Then when we’re both knocked out, handle your business and bring your ass right back here,” Kamilla directed before closing the bathroom door in his face.

“I can’t get in the pool before the pool?” Cairo posed.

“Nope, no time, he’s already in his trunks and floaties,” Kamilla shouted from the shower.

“Daddy, I’m ready!” Kairo shouted from the top of the stairs. He pulled himself away from the bathroom door, walked out the room and scooped him up.

They were in the pool thirty minutes before Kamilla came down in a bikini. At this point, she was playing with him on purpose. Joining them, she sat on the edge and watched Kairo swim and splash around.

“How many pancakes did he eat?” she asked, watching their child slow down.

“Two big ones and a bowl of fruit,” Cairo informed. “Nap time coming.”

“Mhmm. Don’t mention it though, he’s like you. Can’t stand being told what to do unless you talk to him nice. It’s crazy that I missed you so much and you literally left yourself behind,” she sarcastically huffed. “I’m never getting rid of you.”

“Never,” Cairo stated, motioning her to get on his back. “He went from splashing, to jumping, to being thrown in, to just floating.”

Kairo was in his floatie, eyes closed, face to the sun.

“I think this shit is crazy. We got a kid,” he said in amazement still.

“You sound like you want another one,” Kamilla’s tone softening, and her touch becoming tender again.

“How many you trying to give me?”

“Woah, slow down. Do you know how many pounds he was?” Kamilla quizzed. “And don’t fake like you don’t know. I know you were all up and through this house while I was passed out.”

“Touche,” he laughed. “Ten pounds, eleven ounces. Nineteen inches. Head full of hair. Yeah, I cried looking at that shit too. Fredo put that album together, all the photos and shit?”

“Yeah. He captured everything. He made sure I ate, paid for my hospital bill. Brought Cherayne down to help me with my postpartum. He stepped in and didn’t leave.

He definitely made up for the time that passed where he wasn’t present,” she mused.

“I guess in life even though things don’t go as planned, they happen on time.

God knew I needed someone to carry me through that season.

Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t have made it. ”

“OG Fredo a great-grandpa is wild,” Cairo spoke, moving them closer to the sleeping toddler.

“You should see them together. Occasionally he has your boy in a drop top Cutlass riding through the 50s,” she said with a soft laugh. “They took care of us while you were away.”

“I see that you took care of them in return.”

“I couldn’t steal the moon alone,” she buzzed, kissing his cheek before getting off his back. “Let me get him in the bed. By the way, his room is for decoration. He will wake up and come in the bed and then wake up fussing about it.”

Kamilla scooped Kairo up with ease and took him inside the house.

Not too far behind, he silently helped her get him into dry clothes and tucked under his covers and surrounded by pillows.

They eased out the room, being sure he wouldn’t wake up.

Kamilla tiptoed down the stairs and looked up toward the door for thirty seconds before Cairo snatched her up, tossed her over his shoulder and took her in the living room.

“No date. No lunch, just you taking off my bathing suit,” she teased, looking at the hunger in his eyes.

Cairo gruffly laughed, taking her bottoms off and then her top. “You know I like to eat before I eat or I’ll blow something up. I’m about to do all three. How long are these naps?”

“You got thirty minutes,” she moaned, back arching when his fingers pushed inside of her.

That flash of longing in her eyes fused into a lip bite and a hip roll. Kamilla’s hands reached up and pulled him down. Automatically his lips caught a nipple and she knocked his hand away while releasing him from his shorts.

“I have conditions,” she crooned in his ear.

“Tell me,” he grunted between suckles.

“Dick immediately after an argument. Don’t leave me alone to overthink.”

“Oh, you were bluffing,” he hissed at the feel of her tiny hands rotating around him. “Wanted your ass yanked up?”

“Yeah, right after I got that shit off my chest, you should’ve pinned me to that table. Do better next time.”

Cairo smiled devilishly, wrapping his arms around her legs and slamming into her. “You better not scream.”

Her mouth open, brows dipped; she looked him in the eyes while getting every inch mercilessly slammed into her. Cairo caught her lips, sloppily kissing her and slowing his stroke into a salaciously slow grind.

“I got conditions too. You listening?”

“Yesssss,” she moaned in his ear, nails digging in his back. “Whatever you want.”

He chuckled, nipping her chin. “Call the movers and let them niggas at work know daddy is home. You hear me?”

“Yes, baby I hear you. Ohhh shit. W-what else?” she moaned, grinding back.

Cairo flipped her over, pinned her hands behind her back and kept that deep stroke that would make a mess of her. “I love you. You hear me?”

“Yesss,” she whined, trying to keep her moan low.

“Say that shit, Mariposa.”

“You love me,” she whimpered.

“I love you,” he grunted, smacking her ass and watching it ripple. “I’m sorry for hurtin’ you. I will never do that shit again. Say it.”

“Ohhh, baby. I’m about-”

“Not until you fuckin’ say it. Say it.”

“You love me and you’ll never hurt me again,” she pushed out so beautifully while coating his dick with her essence.

“Pretty ass pussy wrapped around me. You gonna give me another baby, Mila?” he questioned, leaning in and grabbing her chin. Kamilla sucked his thumb and moaned. “I can’t hear you?”

“Yes, baby. Yes. I’ll give you another baby. Shit.” She bucked back, pushing him into the cushions and hopped on his lap. Bouncing up and down on his length, she licked the side of his face. “I can’t stand you.”

He smirked, grabbing her hips and slamming her down on him. “Why? Say that shit.”

“I didn’t even make you work for it,” she whimpered, holding him close. “Just gave it back to you and you took it. Fuck, you feel so good inside of me.”

Cairo licked up the light layer of sweat settling between her breasts. “Shit was mine to fuckin’ take. You love a nigga that’s why. And you know with every pretty ass fiber of your body that I love you too. You’re my fuckin’ moon.”

He could feel her body getting closer to the edge and let her go so she could put her palms on his knees and give him that beautiful view of her tautness creaming over him. “Yeahhh,” he groaned, circling his thumb over her bud. “That’s my creamy ass pussy, Mariposa?”

“Yes, it is. Yes, it is. Yes, it fuckin’ is,” she shivered. “Come inside of it and take care of me.”

Cairo felt his eruption rising and pumped into her, turning her cream into a sticky thick mess. “Pretty ass moon, you know that?”

She opened her eyes and peered into his. “Mmhmm. I know. I know.”
