22. Lorenzo
I woke up in the middle of the night, spooning Sin. The warmth of his body nestled against me felt as amazing as it always did. And while I was happy he was sleeping easier these days, I still knew something was off . Goldyn wasn’t in bed with us and her empty spot in front of Sin had me climbing out of bed to go look for her in our hotel suite.
Instead of driving two hours back to Bliss Peak after the Opera, we’d stopped at this hotel in Charlotte and booked the last available suite they had.
Making sure Sin was still sleep, I tiptoed out of the bedroom and found our girl on the couch, her knees pulled to her chest while she read something on her phone.
After a few seconds, she tossed the phone aside and sighed heavily before resting her chin atop her knees.
I leaned against the door frame and cleared my throat, quietly announcing my presence.
Goldyn didn’t startle at the sound, almost like she’d expected one of us to come looking for her, and I didn’t know if that made me happy or sad. Unhurriedly, she lifted her head and smiled across the room at me.
The slightly parted curtains lit her profile in beautiful moonlight.
“Hi, Enzo.”
“Goldyn.”
We held eye contact until I made it to the sofa and sat beside her, instantly pulling her snug against my body.
“Why are you up this late?” In the time she’d been with us, I’d never known her to have trouble sleeping. Unless she was up lost in a book, she was usually the first one asleep and stayed that way until I climbed out of bed to hit the gym in the mornings.
Goldyn huffed and I knew a lie—or at least a partial truth—was coming. Her tells were so easy to catch it made me smile against her curls.
“Ms. Ruby texted me. Lady had the puppies.”
“You needed to get out of bed for that?”
She paused. “No. I guess not. But then I got to thinking about some other stuff and didn’t want to wake y’all up by tossing and turning.”
“I woke up anyway because I knew you weren’t there.”
Tilting her head, she peered up at me with a sheepish pout. “I’m sorry.”
“Don’t apologize.” I closed the space between us and kissed her softly. Jasmine hit my nose and reminded me of the vase I saw Rome setting up when I came downstairs this morning. For some reason, he thought he was doing a good job hiding how much he liked Goldyn. And maybe if I didn’t know him as well as I did, it would have worked. But I saw through that nigga and was just waiting for the day his restraint snapped and he said something to her.
“I was thinking about the book store and how much work I still have to do before it’s ready. Especially since I put in an offer on the store beside it. How it’ll probably take a year for me to get it where I want and how different all our lives will be by then.”
“Different how?” I brought her hand to my lips and kissed her palm.
“Different as in I won’t be living with you anymore. I mean, do I even send you an invite to the grand opening? Will you be with your new girlfriend? Will you bring her? Will you even want to come?”
“Oh, so you were out here stressing yourself about hypotheticals?” I laughed lowly and Goldyn scowled at me before it fell into another pout.
“It’s not all hypothetical,” she pointed out and her voice sounded too dejected for me to make another attempt at teasing her. “This summer will eventually end and I’ll have to go back to existing without my new normal.”
“We’ll worry about that when we get to it.”
“It’s easy for you to say that, Lorenzo. You and Sin will still have each other after this is over. And I’ll have me. You might not notice my absence, but I’ll damn sure notice yours.”
Without a word, I pulled Goldyn into my lap and positioned her legs so they were on either side of my hips as she faced me. “That’s the second time you said something like that tonight. First, you told Rome you were a third wheel and now you think we won’t notice when you’re not around. Why do you keep referring to yourself like you’re temporary?”
“Because I am ,” she said right away, the catch in her voice undeniable as she frowned at me. “Have you considered that maybe it’s easier for me to look at it that way so I don’t end up with my feelings hurt by the time I have to leave?”
I didn’t know what to say. She had only agreed to three months with us. And since we hadn’t had a talk about changing that, she was right. This was temporary and I hated admitting that. And unless me and Sin stopped avoiding the inevitable, the future she talked about would become a reality.
Goldyn held the side of my face, her soft fingers gliding over my skin and lingering over my frown lines.
“I’m sorry, I wasn’t trying to start a fight,” she apologized, her sweet voice low while she looked over my tight expression.
“We’re not having a fight, mamas. I love how honest you are with me, and you’re right about a lot of things. You didn’t do anything wrong.”
Her shoulders deflated, and the worry painting her face melted away.
Fuck, she wore her heart on her sleeve just like Sin. I wondered if she knew I could read every emotion she tried to stifle in her whiskey gaze. The lights might have been off, but anxious energy radiated off of her, giving her away.
Goldyn leaned into me, hiding her face in my neck. She inhaled and wrapped her arms tighter around my shoulders.
“You always smell good,” she murmured, her soft lips grazing my skin with each word.
I moved my head until our lips aligned and pleaded against her mouth, “Kiss me, Goldy.”
She did and my heart pounded in my chest at the connection. We both sighed before deepening the kiss, relief a prelude to the passion Goldyn unleashed when she pushed her tongue past my lips.
I fucking loved kissing her. I loved so much about everything that had to do with her. Before she showed up, I didn’t even know I had the capacity to love anyone this deep other than Sincere. Puppy love? Yea. Lust? Sure. Infatuation deep enough to sustain a fling? Absolutely.
But not this…this all-consuming protectiveness, joy and peace wrapped up in one unnamed emotion every time I thought about her.
Well, it wasn’t unnamed. Not really. I loved Goldyn. No, I was in love with her. I knew that and there wasn’t shit I could do about it until me and Sin had a long talk.
Goldyn bit down on my lip when she shifted in my lap and felt my dick trying to stand at attention between her thighs.
How I’d made it almost three weeks without being inside of her was a puzzle I didn’t have time to solve. Because right now, she kept grinding against me, her hips ticking until she dropped down on me and repeated the same dance all over again.
The only thing covering her body was a hotel robe and I knew for a fact she didn’t have panties on under it. That didn’t make resisting her any easier. Luckily, I didn’t have to resist her.
“Can I sit on it?” Goldyn panted between kisses.
Fuck. Me.
I knew she wasn’t a stranger to asking for exactly what she wanted, but it still left me too shocked to speak sometimes.
Instead of fumbling over my words, I lifted her against me, just enough to give me room to shove my briefs past my hips and sat her back in my lap.
“Get rid of that robe, Goldy.” I watched with hooded eyes as her fingers undid her belt and she pushed the robe to the ground, exposing her hard nipples and perky tits. Her tight body and bare pussy.
Goldyn was heaven in human form. A sight I could rest my eyes on for the rest of my life. All I needed was her and Sincere, and I’d die a happy man?—
That thought came crashing to a halt when a soft palm fisted my dick, and she lifted up on her knees, running the crown of my leaking dick against her glistening lips.
Goldyn shuddered, sucking in a breath at the contact.
Eyes pinned on me, she raised up, notched me at her slick entrance and slowly inched down. Her teeth sank into her bottom lip as her eyes tried to slide close, but I gripped her chin, forcing her attention back to me. “Look at me when you take this dick, pretty.”
Sucking in a breath, she obeyed my command, her mouth falling as she took me all the way in.
“You’re doing so great, mamas.”
“Enzo, please,” she whined, covering my hands with hers when they fell to her hips.
We stayed like that for a while, her staring at me with a mixture of pain and pleasure on her face before she started moving her hips back and forth.
“Fuck, Enzo. Your dick…it’s?—”
“It’s what? Stretching this tight pussy out?”
“Yes.” Kiss .
“Giving you exactly what you wanted?”
“Yes.” Kiss .
“You know how good you feel squeezing my shit like this, Goldy?”
She whimpered her reply, but her hips kept jerking.
Goldyn wasn’t riding me, but grinding against me instead, using my dick to fill her up and pushing her clit into my pelvis with every sensual swivel of her hips.
Back and forth. Back and forth.
I felt everything. Saw everything and my dick was just happy to be here.
Every whimper.
Every moan.
Every roll of her eyes because she was feeling too much.
Every tremor of her thighs as she tried to control her jerky movements.
“God, Enzo, you’re gonna make me come.”
“Then come, pretty. Show me how wet you can get this dick when you use me.”
Goldyn shattered on the spot, my words driving her to an orgasm that made her clamp her hand over her mouth and ride out the wave until she could control her movements again.
I watched in awe as this unexpected gift of a woman came down from a high I supplied and leaned in to kiss her. “You make us so fucking happy, you know that?”
All I got was a shaky nod, and I was happy with that.
Smirking at her voiceless state, I moved until I was hovering over her on the couch, her back pressed into the plush cushion. I smiled at her, still fully inside of her before slamming my hips forward.
Her mouth parted on a scream that I easily intercepted with my tongue. “Do you want to wake Sin?”
She shook her head with tears brimming in her eyes.
“Take this dick and kiss me then.”
And she did. Over and over. Every hard pump and deep stroke, she took it all with my tongue snaked around hers and her walls spasming all around my length. Now I knew why Sincere was so obsessed with being inside of her. He didn’t let a day pass without making her come on his dick, and I was scared I’d just signed myself up for the same fate.
“Do you know how good you feel?”
Her hips bucked in response, wetting me up and letting me know I made her feel good too.
“You will always belong right here with us. Fuck everything else. You’re ours. As long as you want us.” I blurted out the words before my brain could filter them, and I couldn’t say I regretted that shit. Sometimes the heat of the moment was the perfect time for the truth to come out.
The problem was Goldyn looked so lost in her own haze of pleasure that she barely acknowledged my words.
Still pumping into her, I fucked her until my chest hurt. Until the ball of tension at the base of my spine was too much to ignore. And then I was coming, shooting thick streams of cum against her pretty pussy as soon as I freed myself from her tight walls in the nick of time.
“Fuck,” we panted together, smiling lazily at each other until our breaths came easier and I got up to get a damp towel to clean us up.
Whether she knew it or not, she’d just sealed her fate with us forever. I wasn’t letting her walk away when she made me feel like this. I couldn’t. And I’d do whatever I had to to make sure she knew that. Before the three months were up, Goldyn Ambrose was going to know exactly who she belonged to.
