He had no idea what that voice and that touch was doing to her, and she clapped her hands over her mouth before she could scream again.
As she trembled with after-shocks, the motion of his fingers slowed, gentled, and withdrew.
His hands were warm on her thigh as he pulled her leg from around his shoulders.
She lay panting, almost melting into the butter-soft gray leather of the seat as Rhys moved beside her.
Then his hands were on her shoulders. "Sit up, baby. Come on, quick."
Head whirling, she did as he asked. She turned as he sat beside her, jeans pushed to his knees, and more magnificent than anything she'd ever seen. Rhys reached for her and pulled her onto his lap but stopped before she could lower herself onto him.
"Oh, shit," he gritted from between clenched teeth. "The results from my last physical. They're upstairs. I'm clean, though, Rhett."
"So am I," she replied. "My results are upstairs, too."
"Fuck it. We'll compare notes when I get back." He grasped her by the hips, pulled her into position, and then drove into her with a moan that seemed to come straight from his soul.
Rhett dropped her head onto his shoulder and held on. She didn't have to do anything. Rhys was a man on a mission, and this time she was just along for the ride. But, oh dear God, she could ride him all day.
"Yes, Rhys," she whispered into his hair. She tightened around him, her body clutching his, pulling him in, keeping him deep. "Yes, yes, yes."
His movements grew more frantic until he gave one last, mighty thrust and froze inside her. Face buried in her neck, he cried out his release and then relaxed under her.
Rhett pressed soft kisses of gratitude against his neck, his cheek, and finally his lips. He managed to kiss her back but sat there panting with his eyes closed.
At long last Rhett became aware of their precarious position. She lifted her head and glanced through the back window around the parking level but didn't see anyone. Her muscles tightened when she realized anyone could have walked by and seen them.
"Damn, Beautiful." Rhys grazed the skin of her neck with his teeth. "That feels good."
"You feel good." Her gaze landed on his suitcases, and she reached over the back of the seat and got one of the bags partially unzipped. To her relief, she saw a stack of folded T-shirts, and she grabbed the one off the top.
"Here." She sat up and pressed the shirt into his hand. "You'll have to leave this one here, but I'll wash it for you."
A silent laugh vibrated through his chest, and he finally opened his eyes. "This wasn't quite the way I'd envisioned this, but it was pretty damn fine."
She laughed in surprise. "Good job on that Texas accent. A little more time here and people won't know you're not a native."
This time his laugh wasn't silent. "I'm afraid that'll never happen. Sure, I sound like an outlander when I visit my parents, but there's still enough proper English left to set me apart here. Push back just a bit, baby. That's it."
She thought he'd hand her the shirt when he was finished and was surprised when he pressed it between her legs. Even though they'd just had sex, the intimacy of this action touched her, and she glanced up, suddenly shy.
"Come here." He put his free hand behind her neck and pulled her into a soft, sweet kiss. "You're amazing. This was amazing. And damn, Rhett, it was so fucking hot. I won't have a lot of time when I come back before I go on tour. But whatever time there is I want to spend with you."
"I'd like that. But maybe next time we'll make it out of the car." She kissed him again and slid off his lap. "Do you remember what you did with my shorts? I think I'd better get dressed before someone walks by."
"I think I threw them against the door. To be honest, I wasn't really thinking clearly at the time. Oh, hell." Laughing, he zipped his jeans. "I was so into you that I even forgot I scheduled a ride.”
After a moment of surprise, Rhett laughed under her breath as she pulled on her shorts. "When's it supposed to be here?"
Rhys buttoned his jeans and then checked his watch. His laughter vanished as he got a look at it. "Fuck. It's long gone now, and if I don't hurry, I'm going to miss my flight."
Paused in the act of reaching into the front seat for her shirt, Rhett glanced over her shoulder. "What time is it?"
"Almost one-thirty. Damn it." His expression softened as he looked at her. "Never mind. Even if I have to take a later flight, it was worth it. No, it was more than worth it."
Rhett pulled her shirt on and smiled at him. "It was. But listen. Let me run upstairs and get my license. I'll drive you to the airport so you don't have to leave this thing in long-term parking."
He framed her face with his hands and kissed her forehead. "You don't mind?"
"No, I don't mind. I can have you there in half an hour or so. Let's get you to Canada so you can come back, okay?" She grinned. "Next time I want to see this taking your time thing you kept talking about. I mean, it can't be any better than this was, can it?"
"Oh, baby." He smiled and shook his head. "Just wait. I'm looking forward to showing you just how good it can get."
