Chapter 18

If someone would have told me a year ago, or even a couple of months ago that I would have had a girlfriend, I would have thought they were crazy.

Munch walked into the clubhouse, trying to find her brother’s killer, but she made her way into my heart.

Some days I couldn’t believe it, but I wouldn’t change it for nothing.

There was no way I was letting another nigga have her.

The second thoughts about our age difference had disappeared a while ago.

Half of the time, I forgot that there were so many years between us.

She was it for me, and once all this shit was over, I was taking her on a vacation.

We needed real time with just the two of us.

I couldn’t get over the shady shit Beast had done. A few months ago, he would have been dead the moment I found out what he’d done. Now, I had to move more carefully because it wasn’t just about me anymore. I had to make sure I kept Munch safe, and I needed to be around for her.

She’d already lost her brother, and losing me, especially while we are so new, would not be good for her. I’d seen how strong she was, but even the strongest person had their limits.

I needed Beast to tell me himself why he did the shit he did.

I wasn’t sure what kind of deal he made with the Disciples, but that shit wasn’t happening.

The Vipers weren’t into drugs unless it was some weed, but even with that, we didn’t sell it.

If anyone sold drugs outside of the club, that was on them.

Everyone knew we didn’t play that shit and not to bring it into the clubhouse or to any of our events.

I couldn’t believe Beast was trying to do that shit.

He was too old to be trying to be a damn drug dealer anyway.

He needed to focus on relaxing and enjoying the years he had left.

He and my pops were around the same age, which would put Beast in his sixties.

He didn’t have any family, so I guessed that was why he was still on bullshit—he didn’t have anyone to do right for.

When I was younger, he had a wife, but she left him because he couldn’t stop fucking with the women that hung around the clubhouse.

She moved out of the state and never looked back.

It was a good thing they didn’t have kids together, because she really wanted no parts of him.

Him not having anyone would make it much easier for me when I killed him.

I knew I couldn’t move alone, so I called a meeting with only certain members. I wasn’t sure who might have been working with Beast, and I didn’t need any of them tipping him off.

I’d been keeping Munch as close as possible, so the days when she wasn’t at the clubhouse working, she was either at my house or in the tattoo shop with me.

She didn’t always stay in the room. Sometimes she would sit out front with Daisy, or she would go into the room with Alex, who was our piercer.

I was surprised when she came into my room with her belly button pierced.

I thought the shit was sexy, especially when she showed me the k that dangled from it.

I ended up fucking her in my suite in between clients.

“I’m ready,” Munch said as she entered the living room.

We headed to the clubhouse for the meeting.

I probably should have had them come here, or somewhere else just in case.

I didn’t think Beast would come since he’d been MIA lately.

He liked to pop up from time to time, but he didn’t stay around for too long.

I should have picked up on him being on some bullshit by the way he kept disappearing.

I stood and walked over to her. “You look good.” I kissed her lips. “Smell good too,” I said as I inhaled her scent.

“Thank you,” she said as her cheeks reddened.

“You ready for this?”

We weren’t doing much today but talking, but I wanted to ensure she was in the right headspace.

We also were going to tell everyone that we were together.

Well, not everyone, but the people that were going to be there.

Everyone else would find out whenever. Only the people that were important to me would know.

I wanted them to understand her place in my life so they’d know to look out for her in my absence.

“I’m ready. I’ll be glad when it’s over.”

“Me too. And when it is, you and I are going on a trip, so think about where you want to go.”

Her eyes lit up while she shimmied. “Ooh, I can’t wait.”

I chuckled, then led her toward the kitchen so we could leave from the garage.

We were riding my bike, and that was the last place I parked it. I would never look at my bike the same again since I’d fucked her on it.

I helped her onto the bike and passed her the helmet, before I got on and started it.

When we exited the garage, I lowered it, then pulled off.

Munch held on to me as we rode the streets toward the clubhouse. I loved having her on the back of my bike. It didn’t matter that we were getting ready to make plans to kill a person; she made me feel warm inside.

It didn’t take long for us to arrive at the clubhouse. I could tell that everyone that needed to be there was there based on the bikes that were parked in the front. I helped Munch off, then held her hand so we could go inside.

Everyone looked up when we walked in.

“Don’t stop talking now,” I joked as I locked the door.

The word was spread that the clubhouse was closed for the moment, but that didn’t stop people from trying to come by. And I was sure there was somebody who missed the memo, especially the random people that liked to come by for drinks.

“Damn, Raina. My feelings are hurt,” Tay said with his hand over his heart as he looked at our intertwined hands.

Munch giggled next to me. “Sorry, he got to me first.”

I looked down at her and squinted my eyes. “Oh, you would have messed with him if he’d said something first?”

She shrugged, then giggled.

“Yeah, aight.” I kissed her temple. “You were always going to be mine.” I pulled her into my side and wrapped my arm around her waist.

“Aww, aren’t y’all cute.” Isis cooed from her seat.

I led Munch over to the table and pulled her chair out.

“Is the world ending?” Slider asked. “This nigga pulling out chairs and shit. What is happening?” He laughed, and everyone joined in.

“I have to be a gentleman for my lady.”

Slider slapped my hand. “That’s what’s up.”

Tech and Rico slapped my hand when I walked over to them.

“I like this new, happy you,” Caramel added.

The only people I fully trusted were Tech, Rico, Slider, Caramel, Isis, Tay, and Lamont, and they were the only people I asked to be in attendance for this meeting.

There were other members of the club that I kind of trusted, but these seven people I knew without a shadow of a doubt that whatever popped off, they would have mine and Munch’s back.

“Same, but I know you didn’t call us here to announce your new relationship status, especially with not just us,” Tech said as he leaned forward.

“You’re right.” I stood behind Munch’s chair and lightly rubbed the back of her neck.

She wore her hair in a puff at the top of her head, so her whole neck was exposed, and I was obsessed with it just like the taste of her pussy. I had to shake those thoughts off before I got too distracted.

“I asked y’all here because I trust y’all with my life, and I need that trust to extend to Munch.

But that’s not all. It has been brought to my attention that we have a real snake in the Vipers, and they did some shit that can’t go unpunished.

” I looked at all of them to gauge their reaction.

Nobody looked suspicious, but I didn’t expect them to anyway.

I truly believed everyone in the room was innocent.

“Who? I know you not saying it’s anyone in here.” Rico leaned forward and rested his arms on the table.

“Hell no. Y’all the only ones that could know this information and the ones that could help fix the problem.”

Rico leaned back and relaxed. I didn’t think his reaction was because he was on some bullshit. I was sure it was because he hadn’t or wouldn’t do any shady shit, so he might have felt offended that I was accusing him or any of them.

“So what happened?” Lamont asked.

“Beast is a snake. He killed my father because he wanted to take over, and he killed Slim because he found out the truth. He also been working with the Disciples to try and take over.”

Everyone wore shocked expressions, and I felt the same way at first. When I thought about his actions lately, I didn’t put any of the shit past him.

After I sat with the information, I remembered he was the last person to see my father alive, but I honestly thought maybe they had separated and that was when my father got killed.

I never thought it would be him. I honestly still didn’t want to believe it, and that was why I had to move smartly.

He was going to admit to it before he took his last breath.

“Damn. So what are going to do about it?” Tech asked.

“I got a plan.”
