Chapter 22

I couldn’t wait to get home to Munch. All day I thought about walking through the door and seeing her naked. I couldn’t get enough of her and her pussy. Even when we weren’t having sex, I still wanted to be around her.

I’d sent her the picture of the tattoo I had done that took up most of my time, but she hadn’t responded. I figured she probably had taken a nap. She loved to nap when I worked later into the day because I tried to keep her up all night.

I had to stop by the clubhouse, so when I left the tattoo shop, I headed there. I wanted everything out of the way so when I went home, my focus would be on Munch.

I nodded at Drizzle when I walked in, and she waved and left it like that.

She stayed away from me whenever she was there unless she absolutely had to tell me something work related, but usually, someone else could handle it.

As long as she didn’t try to get this dick again, and she left Munch alone, she was good.

“I’m surprised you ain’t laid up with your Munch,” Slider teased when I walked over to where he and the guys sat.

“Fuck you.” I chuckled. “I will be soon, though. You should try it one day.”

I slapped his hands with him, Tech, and Rico. I walked back to my office to get what I needed to get. Before I could leave, my phone rang.

I figured it was Munch, so I didn’t bother looking at the screen.

“What’s good, Munch.”

“This ain’t Munch.” My feet instantly stopped moving. “Hand over the club, or I’ll kill your bitch.” He laughed and hung up.

I tried calling the number back, but it must have been a burner phone.

“Fuck!” I threw my phone against the wall.

The door flew open, and Slider, Tech, and Rico ran in.

“What happened?” Tech asked.

I paced around my office.

“I fucked up.” I ran my hands over my head. My heart thumped erratically in my chest.

I punched the wall, and blood poured out.

“K, what the fuck happened?” Rico asked as he pulled his shirt off.

“What the fuck happened is Ramsey has Munch.”

“Fuck you mean?” Slider asked.

Rico wrapped the shirt around my hand, and I almost pushed him away.

“Ramsey just called and said for me to hand over the club, or he was going to kill her. I don’t even know how the fuck he got to her.”

Suddenly, it hit me.

“She went to the grocery store earlier, so he must have followed her. I can’t let him kill her.

” I tried to keep my breathing under control because I felt myself about to hyperventilate, and I didn’t need that.

I needed to keep a level head if I was going to save Munch, but all rationale went out the fucking window.

“We go to the grocery store first; maybe we can find something,” Rico said as he put his hand on my shoulder.

I didn’t need to say anything when I stormed out of my office, because I knew they would be right behind me.

As we got on our bikes, Tay and Lamont rode up, and with no questions asked, they were riding with us.

I broke the speed limit trying to get to the grocery store.

I rode around the parking lot until I spotted her car.

I jumped off my bike and tried to look inside and spotted her pocketbook.

I pulled the door to see if it was unlocked, and when the door opened, I grabbed her bag and noticed her phone inside.

“Fuck!” I saw that message was in her notifications, so she had never even seen it.

Without a word, I jumped back on my bike, and they followed behind me. Ramsey wanted to play games, so we were going to play. I drove straight to my crib because I needed more than the one gun I carried.

“K, what’s the move?” Slider asked when I got off my bike.

“The move is we going to the Disciples’ clubhouse, and whoever don’t answer my question dies; simple as that. I don’t give a fuck if I have to take out the whole club to get my girl back.”

“Say less.” Tay slapped my hand, and they all followed me into the house.

Munch didn’t know, but I had a secret stash of guns in the garage. Each of them already had their own guns, but they grabbed another one. Once we were all locked and loaded, we went to the Disciples’ clubhouse.

I kicked the door open with both guns drawn.

“What the fuck?” One of them jumped up.

“Somebody better get to talking, or I’m shooting this bitch up.”

We were outnumbered, but I didn’t care about that. Half of them weren’t going to do shit; they just liked to pretend they were about that life but wasn’t. The Vipers might not have been terrorizing the neighborhoods, but we damn sure wasn’t afraid to bust our guns.

“Where the fuck is Ramsey?” I had my gun pointed at his vice president. If anybody knew where he was, it would be him.

“Nigga, fuck you,” he spat.

I pulled the trigger, putting a bullet right in the middle of his head. Before anybody else could shoot back, my brothers took everyone else out.

We left, and I paced in front of my bike.

“Aye, didn’t that necklace you gave Raina have a tracker in it?” Tech asked, halting my steps.

“Yes.” I forcibly tapped his chest. “How the fuck could I forget?”

“Don’t worry, I got you.” He pulled his phone out and did some shit on it.

We all stood by, waiting for him to tell us something. I didn’t worry about anyone coming to the clubhouse, because the Disciples liked to be far away from anybody, so nobody was coming. They didn’t have people hanging out like we did at our clubhouse.

“Got it. Let’s go.” Tech slid his phone in his pocket and got on his bike.

Since he knew where to go, we followed behind him.

We had to ride for almost an hour before we pulled up to a deserted building.

When we parked, I jumped off my bike. I almost ran inside until Slider grabbed me.

“K, hold up. We don’t know what we are walking into. We have to move smart about this.”

“He’s right. We can’t go in there, guns blazing. We have to make sure we get Munch out,” Tech added.

“You right. Tay and L, y’all take the back. Rico and Slider, y’all take the sides, and Tech and I will take the front.”

We separated, and Tech kicked the door open when we got to the front door. I heard gunshots in the back but saw Tay and Lamont coming through the door. Rico and Slider were right behind them.

I found a door with a lock on it, so I shot it off. My heart dropped to my feet when I saw my Munch tied up to a chair. She had bruises on her body and only had on a bra and panties.

Ramsey stood behind her with a knife to her neck.

“I wondered how long it would take you. You actually got here faster than I thought.”

Munch looked at me with tears in her eyes. She already had dried tears on her face. Her usually bright eyes looked dull, with black and blue rings around them.

“Just let her go, Ramsey, and we can talk. She doesn’t have shit to do with this.” I looked down at her again.

“You’re right. She’s just a casualty of war. She doesn’t have to be, though, if you just hand over the club.”

“Fuck you.”

Ramsey pushed the knife into her skin, but it didn’t puncture her. She cried harder. He really didn’t want to kill her, because he would have already. I also knew not to underestimate him.

“I had a deal with Beast, and someone needs to pay up.”

“It’s obvious Beast ain’t around anymore, so that deal is dead. Just like you will be soon.”

He smirked, but that shit disappeared when a bullet hit his chest. He dropped the knife as he fell to the floor.

Tay grabbed Munch and took her outside.

Once I knew she was out of the room, I walked over to Ramsey. I leaned over his body and aimed my gun at him.

“You fucked up when you touched my girl. Ya men already died, and you are about to join them. Tell Beast I said hi.” I smiled as I put three more bullets in him.

I ran out of the house and grabbed Munch from Tay. Just then, a car pulled up, and Ace, one of the other members, jumped out. I climbed in the back with Munch in my arms.

“Meet me at the clubhouse. Y’all know what to do,” I told them as I closed the door.

Carmen pulled away from the curb.

“Is she okay?” she asked as she drove.

I looked down at Munch, and even though she was bruised, I knew she would be okay at some point. She was shaken up, and I could smell pee on her, but I didn’t give a fuck about that. I was just happy that she was alive. She was wrapped in a blanket, and I held her close to me.

“She will be.”

Munch looked up at me with more tears in her eyes, and my eyes misted. We drove to the clubhouse, and I carried her to my room.

I tried to lay her in the bed, but she grabbed me.

“Please, don’t leave me.” Her voice came out so low and shaky, and I wanted to go back and kill Ramsey’s ass again.

“I’m not going anywhere. I’m just going to run some water so I can clean you up. I promise.”

She looked unsure, so I carried her with me to the bathroom and turned the water on.

I wanted to take her home, but I wanted to debrief with the guys, and the clubhouse was closer.

At least I could clean her up and put some clothes on her.

I would take her home afterward and have a doctor to come by and check on her.

“I’m going to clean you up, okay?” I pushed her hair out of her face, and she nodded.

When the water was hot enough, I took her bra and panties off and placed her in the tub. She wrapped her arms around her body and rocked back and forth.

“I’m so sorry, baby.” I gently washed her body as she cried.

“I could see that they hurt you, but did anyone touch you inappropriately?” She shook her head.

It was bad enough that someone put their hands on her, but I would have lost it even more if they did some other shit to her. I was relieved that they didn’t.

When I finished washing her up, I took her out of the tub and carried her to the bedroom. Caramel had put some clothes and a cup of tea on the table for her. I put lotion on her, then rubbed some cream on the wounds on her wrists and ankles. She stared at me the whole time but didn’t say anything.

“Drink some tea for me, Munch.” I passed her the cup of tea.

I got in bed with her and held her as she sipped the tea. I rubbed her scalp and told her how sorry I was and how much I loved her.

Eventually, she fell asleep. I told Carmen to sit with her, just in case she woke up while I was downstairs.

The guys sat at the table with sad looks on their faces.

“Is she good?” Tay asked as he passed me a drink.

“Not really.” I tossed the liquor back, and it burned.

I sat down with them and had another drink.

“Thank y’all for riding with me.”

“You already know,” Slider said as he took a swig of his drink. “Munch is one of us, so you know we were riding out for her.”

I nodded my head. “I need to take her home. I’ll probably be off the grid for a little bit, but y’all know how to reach me if need be.” I stood, then hugged each of them before I went back upstairs.

Carmen got up from the chair when I entered the room.

“She’s still sleeping,” she whispered as she neared me. “She’s strong, K. She’ll be good. Just be there for her as much as you can.” She wrapped her arms around me, and I broke down.

It fucked with me to see Munch like that because I could have prevented it if I had kept someone with her. I didn’t think the Disciples would do some shit like that, but I underestimated them niggas. Never again, though.

Once I got myself together, I pulled away. I wiped my face and glanced back at Munch. She slept so peacefully, and I hated to wake her up to take her home, but I didn’t want to stay at the clubhouse.

“Thanks, Carmen. I appreciate you, for real.” I kissed her cheek.

“Call me if y’all need me.” She peeked at Munch, then left the room.

I nodded and walked over to the bed.

“Munch, baby.” I didn’t want to just pick her up and scare her. “Wake up for me, baby, so we can go home.”

She jumped, but when she realized it was me, she calmed down. I wrapped my arms around her and picked her up. I kissed her forehead, and we left the clubhouse.

I wasn’t sure who got it, but one of them had gotten Munch’s car from the grocery store. They even did something with the groceries.

I laid Munch on the back seat, since she had fallen asleep, and drove us home. I wasn’t worried about my bike, because I knew one of the guys would handle it for me.

My phone went off by the time I got down the street. The screen was cracked, but I could make out what the message said.

Dinner is done.

As I drove home, I was relieved that this shit was finally over with. That message was confirmation that the Disciples’ clubhouse was no longer standing. With the main leaders gone, I wasn’t worried about any of them trying to fuck with us. If they did, they could die too.
