Kate First Timer ♌ #2

I had to admit to myself, there was no way this date was not going to happen.

Inside I was more than giddy. My mind was also being realistic.

As I showered that night I groomed myself a little more thoroughly, leaving just a small strip of red hair.

I wondered if the date would be soon or maybe on the upcoming weekend.

I wasn’t sure what was going to happen. I’d already seen Eric shirtless.

I knew he was gorgeous, not that Vinny wasn’t charming in his own right.

I felt guilty; I switched positions with Vincent in my head.

How would I feel if he wanted to have sex with a professional athlete?

What kind of professional athlete could he land?

A volleyball player? Na. Track star? No way.

Curling? Perhaps. Are professional curlers good athletes?

Isn’t their job just to sweep? My mind was a rabbit hole of trash.

Vincent fed me an edible. He knew me well and he could see that I was deep in my own thoughts.

I slept great that night. Awakening like a little girl on Christmas morning.

I knew Eric would be excited too. I kissed Vinny goodbye and after we both left for work, I shot Eric a text message.

We are good to go for a date. You can thank Vincent when you meet him someday. I sent the message.

Putting my phone down in the passenger seat as I drove to work, I fought the good fight to not pick up the phone.

I knew I needed to look. It burned in my chest. Maybe I should text him again.

Fuck, I drove, focus on the road, focus on what I would need to do at work.

Dear Lord, why hasn’t he texted me back.

It must have been close to an hour. Right?

I pulled the phone from the other seat and looked at the screen.

No messages, five whole minutes had passed.

Fuck. Get out of my head. He’ll text. Give him some time. DING! My phone went off.

Opening the message, from Vinny, Stop staring at your phone and drive. You can’t date if you’re dead. He waved at me from the lane to my right.

Ok Fine! Texting back and dropping it on the leather seat with a plop.

He was right and he cared about me. Anyway, a few hours later Eric messaged me back, Hey, that’s great news! I’ll pick you up at 7!

Wait, uhh… tonight?

Yes tonight! Can’t wait for Vincent to change his mind.

Fair enough! What should I wear?

Something sexy.

I sent Eric our address. My mind was in a haze from the realization that this was going to happen.

Eric would be my first date in so many years.

Do I even know how to date? It isn’t that simple.

Would I sleep with him? I never slept with a man on the first date before, but I never dated a professional athlete as a married woman before.

What am I doing? I found myself trying to put it all out of my mind and focus on the work day.

Nobody at the office could know what I was doing that night.

Eric was a patient and if we really did date and continued dating, I would need to disclose that information and then the questions would go crazy.

They knew Vincent in the office and they liked him, this could be explosive.

I pushed through the day, stopping myself from texting with Vinny or Eric.

When I arrived home, Vinny had a new pink dress waiting for me, laid out on the bed. “Hey babe, I thought you might want to look at this as a new day,” Vincent said with a little melancholy in his voice.

I looked at him, taking his face in my hands, “Are you ok? I can cancel on him.” He leaned forward and kissed me.

Our kiss became deep. He was a great with those lips, “Yeah babe, honestly I am excited. You’re an amazing wife and I know this is going to be weird, but there are all kinds of relationships out there now. We are solid, right?”

“Yes!” I was so excited to see him perk up after our kiss, maybe for some selfish reasons, “This is going to be exciting for both of us.” I took a quick breath, I had to ask him, “How far can this date go? I mean, I will honor what you say, I promise.”

He smiled this time exceedingly genuine, “Babe he’s a professional athlete. I’m going to be disappointed if you don’t have multiple orgasms and come home with a new All-Star athlete in your belly.”

Both of us laughed, “Are you sure?” I asked again, “I don’t know if it will go that far, but I can’t say it would hurt my feelings if he wanted to fool around.”

“Babe, I love you,” it was his turn to take my face in his hands, “you are mine and I am yours. Nothing is going to change that, but I was just joking about the baby.” We smiled at each other and kissed again.

With that I began getting ready. Quick pecks with him as I showered, slipped into the dress, no bra, pink thong, fixed my make-up, curled my hair, slid on some cute matching heels.

The dress was really adorable, he had noticed me checking it out last time we were at the mall, but still, it was impressive that he knew my size and remembered.

KNOCK KNOCK - Eric was at the door. Vinny decided to stay in the bedroom as I left with him.

He’d meet him soon, we had decided, but he wasn’t ready to on this momentous day.

The date was awesome. So awesome it was the most awesome of awesome dates ever.

Well actually that’s a lie. It was, to be blunt, awkward. At first.

I finally told Eric that I didn’t know what to do on a date anymore.

At the end we were laughing and enjoying ourselves, but it really had a rough start.

It felt so weird, in fact, I almost asked him to take me home.

He was able to turn things around with his sweet attitude and humor.

For a professional athlete, he truly was humble.

Good ol’ Eric O’Malley. We were both grateful that the date turned around because we truly did like each other.

We were both physically attracted, but the build up of potentially having sex with another man was driving me crazy.

You won’t find me on a list of the smoothest of gals; I like to laugh and have fun.

Often I will come across as the goofy girl, but on this date my head was swimming in what I assume were his pheromones and holy fuck it made me wildly ready, if you know what I mean.

Let me be clear, I’m not innocent, even though I didn’t have a large number of lovers, I understood the world, fetishes, kinks, and I surely was no stranger to different fantasies.

The date became smoother as it rolled onward.

We had a light beautiful dinner, took a short walk to a local theatre where we watched an oddly modern love story take place on stage.

After that he drove us back to his place.

I was a bit shocked as he drove us to his comfortable 2 bedroom cabin-style home.

It was an uncommonly humble home for a MLB player, which matched his demeanor.

The inside did not disappoint. Everything in the house was smart.

Industrial fixtures, all activated by the integrated voice controls.

He loved movies; posters framed and hanging around the living room.

I was happy to see it was a mix of movies, not any particular genre.

I don’t have a lot of time for film, but sports put me to sleep.

Anyway you slice it, his cabin was perfect.

It smelled clean and the wood everywhere looked incredible.

It didn’t feel like we were in the heart of Texas anymore, but truly out in the forest. I didn’t have a long time to digest the surroundings as he poured us each a glass of wine.

There was nothing I wanted to do less than drink at that moment.

Some people would need liquid courage, I really just wanted to relax and focus on Eric.

We sat on his leather couch, putting on some music videos, we turned to face each other and sipped our wine.

I felt unladylike as he continued to glance at my legs as we talked.

“I’m glad your husband let us date.” Eric’s level of handsome should be illegal.

We were smiling at each other as we spoke, “Yeah when he heard it was you it was like he pushed me out the door. I suppose it’s bragging rights to him that he can say a professional athlete wants to sleep with his wife.”

“Whoa ho ho ho,” he laughed as he absorbed what I said, “who said I want to sleep with you?”

“Uh, we all know you do.” I said with a smirk and a swig of my wine.

“No way. No way at all. I am a religious man. No sex until marriage.” This statement was delivered rather dryly and I couldn’t tell if he was being serious or if he was simply messing with me.

“Um, I, um, not sure how to…” I stammered.

“Well at least one of us is married,” Eric said with a coy smile.

After a quick flurry of movement, I had suddenly become exceedingly aware of how short my dress was, feeling the hem slide across my butt, then BAM! Our lips met. The sky opened up as I was kissing this adonis of a man.

Was he as good a kisser as Vinny?

Maybe not yet, but he could learn. Eric knew how to keep his lips soft as we feverishly kissed. He knew how to match my pace and movements as our lips and tongues began to dance in such a perfectly intimate way.

Our lips were not the only body parts exploring as I felt my hands open his shirt, and I am pretty sure it was my hands touching his muscles. And some of you may be saying, but you already felt those. Not like this.

Not. Like. This.
