Chapter 23
Kasimir~
After meeting with Viktor, he’d made it clear that we were going to have to remind our enemies that we were still very active, and that any rumors of Aurora’s pregnancy had not made our family soft. In fact, quite the opposite.
Viktor and my father had been adamant about securing our territory borders, pushing the Romanians back to where they belonged.
We needed to remind our enemies that we were still very on top of what went on in our territory, and so that meant a very long weekend for me, though it wasn’t anything that I wasn’t used to.
Nevertheless, that wasn’t going to keep me from seeing Zoya for two damn days.
So, after my meeting with Viktor and our father, I had texted Zoya, warning her that I’d be stopping by to take her to dinner before going to ‘work’.
I also wanted to know how things had gone with her mother, which I couldn’t imagine that they’d gone well.
Darya Orlova was not the same woman that she’d been before Aurora had killed her brother, and I couldn’t see her getting any better without some professional help.
At any rate, when Yuri had pulled up to the curb, Zoya had been waiting for me by her front door, and as soon as she’d seen the SUV come to a stop, she’d been heading down the walkway before I could even get out of the car, not setting things off to a good start.
As soon as she reached the car, I said, “Do not ever wait for me outside. It leaves you an open target to anyone happening by.”
Rather than argue with me, she said, “Okay.”
I opened the door for her, and once she got in, instead of walking around the car to get in from the other side, I motioned Zoya to scoot over to make room for me. I only had a limited amount of time with her, and I wasn’t going to waste any of it by taking the time to walk around the vehicle.
Once we were both inside and on our way, I turned towards the woman that was consuming my thoughts. “How did it go with your mother?”
“She wanted to know how I could tarnish my uncle’s memory by sleeping with the enemy,” she answered, and though her tone held no bite, it did sound tired.
“And what did you tell her?” I asked.
“Does it matter, Kasimir?” she countered. “She knows that I’m moving out on Sunday, and I’m pretty sure that our relationship is beyond repair at this point.”
Freshly showered, Zoya looked younger than she really was, but she also looked too slim and too tired. The dark circles under her eyes bothered me, and I was going to do everything that I could to help her become healthy again.
Reaching for her, I dumped her on my lap, ignoring all the seatbelt laws as I pushed the partition lever on the car door. While I had planned on just taking her to dinner, I wanted to remind her of last night and all the reasons why living with me was a good thing.
“You look pretty,” I told her as my hand slid up her leg and underneath her dress. “You look so fucking pretty when you’re dressed sweetly for me.”
Her cheeks reddened in embarrassment as she said, “I didn’t know where you were taking me, so I wanted to make sure that I was dressed decently.”
“Lepestok, you could be dressed in a paper bag, and you’d still be beautiful,” I told her, and that wasn’t bullshit, either. In my eyes, she’d always be a stunning picture of beauty.
“What does that mean?” she finally asked, making me smirk.
“I thought you didn’t care what it meant?”
“I didn’t,” she replied. “But I do now.”
“It means petal in Russian,” I answered. “Your name means life, and flowers remind me of new life whenever it’s time for their bloom.”
“Oh,” she mouthed, probably having expected something vulgar or insulting.
As my hand slid between her thighs, Zoya glanced towards the partition nervously, and her modesty really was refreshing. “He can’t see or hear a thing, baby.”
Looking back at me, she asked, “What about dinner?”
“We’ve no reservations, so it’ll be there when we’re ready,” I replied, my hand now nestled comfortably against her pussy. “We can take all the time that we want.”
“Kasimir...we...we can’t keep going on like this,” she said. “I can’t keep taking chances like this. If I get pregnant-”
“We’ll move up the wedding,” I stated seriously as my fingers finally slid inside her panties.
Zoya’s hands latched onto my arm, but it wasn’t to push me away; it was to hold on.
She also opened her legs for me, giving me all the room that I needed to please her, and that’s all that I wanted to do.
I wanted to please Zoya in a way that would make her addicted to me, and I didn’t care how manipulative that might sound.
I wanted this woman with me, and I was prepared to do whatever I needed to in order to make that happen.
I had two fingers inside her when I told her as much. “There is nothing that I won’t do to keep you, lepestok. There is nothing that I won’t do to make sure that I wake up to you every morning and go to sleep next to you every night.”
Her head dropped back as my thumb hit her clit, and the sounds of her wetness were loud and lewd around us, and they had my dick hard as steel.
Whatever her mouth said, her body told the truth, and even after using her all night long, she was sitting on my lap, ready for more, and she wasn’t even letting her soreness stop me.
“Tell me how good that feels, baby,” I ordered.
“Don’t stop...” she whispered, her hips moving to meet my fingers.
“Not until you’re in love with me, lepestok,” I promised as my lips found her neck. “Not until you need my touch just as badly as I need yours.”
When Zoya whimpered breathlessly, I couldn’t help myself any longer.
I pulled the strap of her blue dress down, and my lips latched onto that sweet swell of her left breast, working to leave my mark on her.
Yeah, she still had plenty of reminders littering her body randomly, but I was obsessed with her enough to want to mark every inch of her skin to show that she was taken.
“Oh, God...” she cried out as my fingers penetrated her and my thumb manipulated her clit. “Kasimir...”
“That’s it, baby,” I growled against her soft skin. “Keep saying my name.”
“Kasimir, please...”
“Are you going to cum for me?” I teased as I curled my fingers inside her, hitting that delicious spot hidden deeply inside. “Are you going to make a mess for me?”
“Yes...” she choked out, her fingers digging into my arm.
It wasn’t a few seconds later that Zoya was cumming with my name falling from her lips again, and the way that her pussy tightened around my fingers had me wanting to forget dinner altogether, take her back to our place again, then keep her underneath me for the rest of the night, but I couldn’t.
Not only had I been instructed to get to work on the Romanians, but I also didn’t want Zoya believing that I only wanted her to get my dick wet.
I wanted her to understand that I was serious about what we were building here, and that I hadn’t been joking about marrying her.
When Zoya finally came down from her high, she opened her eyes, then looked at me as I pulled my fingers from her pussy, making sure to keep them soaked as I placed them in my mouth, licking them clean of her sweet juices.
She tasted just as good as she’d had last night, and I wondered if she was going to taste sweeter once I got her pregnant.
“Feel better, lepestok?” I smirked.
“I don’t know what I feel right now,” she admitted, and even though her answer was troublesome, I could still appreciate her honesty. “I just know that I feel confused whenever I’m with you.”
“As long as you feel something, I’ll take it,” I told her honestly.
“Can I ask you something?”
I nodded. “Of course.”
“Which one of you killed my uncle?”
Even though I knew why she was asking, I also knew that I couldn’t tell her the truth.
With or without my ring on her finger, Zoya wasn’t Aurora.
She hadn’t been raised in this kind of life, and if I told her that Aurora had been the one to pull the trigger, it might make her feel better about sleeping with me, but it’d still been Marchetti business that I had no right telling.
Yeah, it had also been considered Korolev business, but I’d never give anyone any ammunition that they could use against my sister-in-law.
“You can’t ask me to divulge family secrets if you’re still hesitant about becoming family, Zoya,” I replied, dancing around the truth a bit.
After a few seconds, she said, “Fair enough.”
I gave her a terse nod, then asked, “Hungry?”
“Yeah, I am,” she answered on a sigh, but she didn’t get off my lap, so that was something.
