Epilogue
Harley - One Year Later
Love Somebody – Morgan Wallen
I think I might have finally lost my goddamn mind.
The last year in the run-up to the wedding has been a rough one.
Between constant health issues for Quinn and being backwards and forwards to the doctors, she just can’t catch a break.
So I decided to do something ‘romantic’ as a wedding gift.
But it involves my dick, and trying to keep her away from it long enough for it to heal is nigh on fucking impossible.
She’s like a fucking nympho where I’m concerned. She just can’t help herself.
The day is finally here. We get married today.
This afternoon, to be precise, so that photos can be taken at our favourite time of day—golden hour.
When the sun starts to set, and Quinn’s beauty monopolises.
I haven’t seen her since last night because she decided, for once in her life, she wanted to be traditional, and I’m going out of my ever-loving mind.
What do you mean I can’t touch my fiancée for a whole twenty-four hours?
I’m a grown-ass man responsible for my own choices, yet tradition dictates a ban on seeing and touching her? Misogynistic assholes. Just because they wanted to be out chucking ones at strip clubs and having a last hurrah with ladies of the night. Some of us are loyal, okay?
Fuck! I can’t wait to see her. We kept it simple, just the important people that are closest to us and, of course, our furry fucker, Ted.
Minimal flowers, lots of candles and fairy lights, and cosy spaces all over the place for people to rest their weary feet from dancing, and they can pick up a book if they’d like.
I’m sure I’ll find her squirreled away with her Kindle at some point.
We found a house down by the beach we usually take Ted to, big enough for us all to stay in with a garden that could host the ceremony.
There’s a hotel that overlooks the bay, and when the lights are on in the evening, the glow on the beach is pure perfection.
The waves lit up as they crash against the rocks will add the perfect background noise to our day.
There’s even a private entrance for us to get to the beach, cut off from the public.
It’s time to get into our places. The bride is here. I’m not nervous. This is how it was always meant to be. She’s my destiny. It was written in the stars before our parents even knew of our existence, and you’ll never convince me otherwise.
Quinn
The knowledge that it wasn't all in my head was somewhat freeing.
Over time we have whittled out the fabrications from my mother and what remained was reality.
I now have official diagnoses from a third party therapist of combined ADHD, BPD, fibromyalgia, CPTSD and chronic fatigue syndrome.
The ADHD one shocked the hell out of me.
Years of masking my symptoms out of fear had somewhat hidden the symptoms for it, but once I found a safe space, I no longer needed to mask.
My OCD is under control, too. I feel at peace within myself.
My suicidal ideation remains, but I've learnt to communicate through it and seek out the support I need. My body was fighting against me. My need to garner attention has dissipated over time. Maybe it's acceptance. Maybe it's just healing, who knows? My dad and I have worked on things for the last year, so when I asked him to walk me down the aisle with Ted, he jumped at the chance. I’ve forgiven him at this point. I’ve learnt more things than I ever thought I would and I see things from a perspective I couldn’t have two years ago.
As we walk through the doors and out into the garden, I’m greeted with the beauty before me.
The view of the ocean that I couldn’t get married without, and the most important people sat before me.
Bones stands at the end of the aisle, X beside him as his best man.
In the front row sit Manda and Scott, my dead friend’s parents, turning to look at me, eyes full of emotion but smiles on their faces.
I should feel guilty that they’re never going to experience this with their own daughter, but I did promise her I’d make sure they had me as a daughter, so consider it a promise kept.
Lulu is officiating our ceremony, and as she takes me in, she nods her head and tells Harley to turn around. His facial piercings glisten in the sun, and his suit is tailored perfectly to his body. Perfection is just not adequate enough to describe my soon-to-be husband.
The ceremony is short and sweet, and before I know it, Lulu has pulled me to one side and is shoving a gift box at me.
“I wasn’t sure whether to even give this to you.
I know we never discussed the details, and you probably won’t even want it.
But I had a blast making this, and I feel like it belongs on display somewhere. Even if it’s just so that you know.”
“So that I know what?” I eye her curiously.
“Just open the box,” she says, bouncing on her toes.
I undo the ribbon and lift the lid up, and I laugh so loud that people start staring. “Lulu, you’re the definition of epic.”
She curtseys, but before she walks away and leaves me in the moment, she says, “He deserved everything I did to him, Quinny. This isn’t to remind you of your pain. It’s to celebrate your growth.” I smile at her and nod my head.
Inside the box is the remainder of Dane’s cock stuffed to the hilt—luckily for him, it makes him seem like he was a bit more well-endowed—decorated in her usual neon tones. Attached to the head is a note that reads:
Whenever you doubt your strength, look at this monster cock and remember that in reality it was no bigger than a rotting mushroom, and watch videos of piglets squealing. Those are the sounds he made.
I love you, Quinny.

Bones walks over to me and peers into the box before shaking his head and laughing alongside me. A tear slips onto my cheek. But it’s not one of sadness or fear. It’s one of happiness.
An hour later, we’re down on the private cove, having just taken our photos and taking the designated time to ourselves that Lulu insisted we have.
“I have a gift for you,” Bones tells me.
“Well, that’s a coincidence. I have one for you, too.”
“You first,” he insists.
“Nope. You.” He knows better than to argue with me when I’ve made up my mind.
He goes to unbutton his trousers, and I put my hand out to stop him as I look in all directions. “Baby, I love your dick, but I wouldn’t consider that a wedding gift.” I chuckle.
“Stop it.” He laughs. “To show you my gift, I need your help.” He pulls me forward to kiss me. He traces over my lips with his tongue, the cool metal a sharp contrast to the warmth of his lips. It’s one of my favourite things to suck on when it comes to him.
His hands hike up my dress and slide underneath the material as he leans me against a rock that shelters us from view. My nipples pebble in the breeze as he tweaks them with his fingers, pulling the neckline down so he can take one of them in his mouth.
I groan. I was never a sensitive nipple kinda girl, but it’s safe to say we’ve managed to overcome that over the last couple of years. I reach into his trousers and grip onto his cock. The soft strokes I like to tease him with lead into faster and tighter ones. He groans into my ear.
“Fuck. I love it when you play with me like that.”
I look down and stop what I’m doing. “What the fuck is that?” I look up at him, and he smiles at me. “Bones, why is there a magpie tattooed on your dick?”
“It’s part of my wedding gift to you. Now you’re with me always. Whenever I look at my dick—which is a lot considering the amount of time you get me naked—you’ll be there in body and spirit. Even when I die, you will be with me. Romantic, right?”
The sentiment is so fucking cute, but all I can focus on is how much it must have hurt. “Was it painful?” He nods.
“The most painful thing I’ve ever done in my life, and it most definitely needs to be kissed better.”
“Hold that thought, Bones.” I reach into my clutch and pull out a small box.
“Here. Open your gift. Maybe we’ll have a double celebration.
” Since my diagnosis last year, my PCOS symptoms have made my hormones all out of whack.
They’re investigating me for suspected endo as well as adenomyosis.
Basically, my reproductive organs are shot.
Which is going to make this all the more sweeter.
“Magpie. Are you for fucking real?” He finishes opening the box and pulls out an ornament of magpies.
A mum, a dad and a chick. He starts to cry.
“Magpie, are we having a fucking baby?” I nod, and he crashes into me, trousers still unbuttoned, not a care in the world.
He wraps my legs around his waist and leans me back against the rockface.
“Little Magpie, we’re having a baby?” His tears are salty as they reach my lips.
“Yes, baby. Yes, we fucking are. I didn’t think it could happen.
” I sob. “I didn’t think we’d ever be able to have a baby.
And it’s still early, so we have to keep it to ourselves.
I don’t want to jinx it just in case something happens.
It’s unpredictable with how my health has been. ”
He nods his head. “Don’t worry, our secret is safe with me. I won’t tell anyone.”
“You can tell Lulu. But that’s where it stops for now.”
“I need to be inside of you like right fucking now. I need to feel your tight pussy strangling my dick until I come inside of you.”
“Fuck me, then, Bones. Fuck me like I’m yours. Claim me.”
He grabs hold of the back of my hair, which is thankfully in loose curls for the wedding, and he slams his hips into me over and over again.
He kisses my neck, biting lightly along my collarbone before smashing his lips into mine.
It’s quick but passionate. He circles my clit with his thumb until my orgasm crashes over me and he finishes at the same time.
He keeps me up until we’ve caught our breath before lowering me back down onto the rocks.
My legs are unsteady as I wobble, and he moves to steady me.
His hands go under my dress one more time as he pushes his cum back into me, pulling his fingers out and pushing them into my mouth. “Taste us both together, baby.”
I clean his fingers before he helps me straighten myself up. “I can’t believe Ted’s going to be a big brother.”
“It’s a secret, remember.”
He zips his lips and throws the pretend key over his shoulder, reaching out his pinky. “Pinky promise.”
"How do you feel about it, Magpie? Any fears?"
"All of them." He looks at me contemplatively, waiting for me to expand.
"I know I have the ability to be a good mum—"
"The best," he interrupts, always there to encourage me to big myself up instead of put myself down.
"The best," I repeat. "But there will always be a hidden fear that someday I could switch and become her.
And what if that does happen? What if one day I feel those things happening?
What do I do then?" I look up at him and I'm in awe at the man that looks back at me.
I really did find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
"Then you use your safe word and we figure it out together. What's your safe word, Little Magpie?"
"Magpie," I remind myself.
"And what happens when you use your safe word, Little Magpie?"
"You burn the world to find me."
"You're damn right I do. And if that means I have to fight your inner self to bring you back to the surface, then I'll fight that bitch, too."
I chuckle to myself. Tears pooling in my eyes but a refusal to let them fall.
"I really fucking love you, Bones."
"I really fucking love you, too, Little Magpie."
We come out from behind the rocks, and the sun is beginning to set. He turns me to face it. I shiver a little, so he pulls off his suit jacket and places it on my shoulders, rubbing my arms to warm me up.
“There’s nothing quite like a perfect sunset to end a perfect day.
” He’s right. The pink, purple and orange hues blend perfectly with the yellow of the sun, and as I peer up at the hotel, I see a bride on a balcony watching the same sunset.
Cameras and bright lights surround her like they’re filming for a show.
“Look baby, there’s another bride up there. I wonder if they're filming for that new show in town, Meet Me At The End of the Altar?”
“I only have eyes for this bride,” he says as he tips my chin with the same fingers he just had inside of me and kisses me softly. "Operation Convince Quinn To Live is complete."
My heart bursts. And the rest, as they say, is history. Maybe we’ll catch you in the future, maybe you’ll never see us again. Who knows?
