CHAPTER SEVEN #3

We’re all in church, in deep discussion about how we can find Taz and the last of his crew.

Jon’s been throwing out some ideas, and we’ve been going through the pros and cons when I see Tripp make a face and take his phone out of his pocket.

Jon looks over at him. “Man, you know we aren’t supposed to take calls during church.

” Tripp nods. “Yeah, but it’s his woman, Kimbra, calling me.

” What in the hell is she calling him for?

I grab my phone out and see two missed calls.

“Answer it. She’s called me twice, so it’s gotta be somethin’ big.

” Jon gives him a nod, and he answers it but doesn’t think to put it on speaker so I can’t hear what she says in response to his greeting.

“What’s going on? The kids okay?” His question has me on edge.

Kimbra wouldn’t call unless it was an emergency.

I watch him listen, and his face goes still, the kind of rage that makes a man stop before he blows up.

“Some of us will be over in just a few minutes. Lock your doors and stay inside unless it’s one of us who knocks.

Got it?” Tripp hangs up the phone and looks at me.

“Kids are fine and off with their dad. She found a package on the porch. Sounds just like the package that was delivered here last weekend. Kimbra said there’s an ear, a finger, and she thinks under the ear is a tongue, but she hadn’t moved it to get a better look.

” I stand up so fast my chair falls back.

I look at the brothers sitting around the table and stop at Jon and Jonah.

“I think it’s fucking time for us to attempt to contact your person with the Norse Rebels.

This needs to end. That package could’ve been found by one of my kids.

One of my young and innocent kids who don’t deserve to lose their innocence in this fucking way.

I know church ain’t over, but I need to get home and get home now.

” I take off out of the room and head for my bike.

I need to see that Kimbra’s really all right.

The urge to go find Taz and the few fucking minions he has is stronger than ever.

Jon

We all watch Ben tear out of the room. “Tripp, you, Ry, and Mike follow him. Call me when you get there.” I watch the guys get up and leave and turn to Pa to ask the question that I’ve been wanting to know the answer to since Ben spoke up.

“Now, what was he talkin’ about? Since when do we have a contact in the Norse Rebels?

Aren’t they the drug and gun running MC over in Watson?

” Pa looks up at me. “Son, sit down.” I know he won’t continue till I do.

I may be the president now, but he’s still my dad and elder.

I sit and wait for him to continue. “I’ve had contact with them for decades.

Their original president went to high school with us for a couple of years before he moved to Watson.

We weren’t close but were always willing to help each other out should the need arise.

He passed away a few years ago, and his son, Maine, is the president now.

I haven’t spoken with him since he became president, but I know his dad mentioned our club to him.

He’s not our only contact within the club, though.

In fact, we have a much stronger one these days.

” We do ? “How’s that?” Pa grins, which tells me he enjoys still knowing things that I don’t yet.

Smug man. “Noah is their VP.” I hear gasps from my brothers in the room.

Juan speaks up. “Noah, Noah?” Pa nods. Juan continues on, “Noah, as in was almost adopted by you and Ma, but the court system let him down, and we lost track of him, Noah?” Pa rolls his eyes at Juan.

“Of course that Noah, son. Do you know anyone else named Noah? He goes by Riff now, but he’s been their VP for a few years.

He keeps saying he’s gonna come visit, but then things come up.

I think we should give him a call and see what they might know about the whereabouts of the last few Sangre Devils.

” I couldn’t agree more. “I agree. I don’t want Jane or anyone else to get a package like what Kimbra got today.

Pa, do you want to make the call?” He nods at me.

I look at the room full of brothers, all of who are chomping at the bit to take care of this menace that hangs over our heads.

“Let’s call church for now. I know we don’t normally have church on a Saturday, but whoever can make it, let’s reconvene tomorrow and see what Pa finds out and if we’ve gotten anywhere with what was delivered to the good doctor’s house.

” I watch and wait as the room clears out, leaving just me, Juan, Rory, and Pa.

Time to find out more answers if we can. “Pa, make that call.”

Ben

I know I sped through the back roads to get home, but I need to make sure Kimbra is okay. I know some of my anxiety is from my past. The last time I claimed a woman as my own, she was taken from me barely a year later. I don’t think I could recover this time.

I pull up to the house, get off my bike, hurry up to the door, and unlock it.

As soon as I walk up the porch, I hear music playing inside, and I know she’s okay.

I hear motorcycles pulling up behind me and know it’s a few of my brothers.

I turn around before I go into the house.

“I see a box on the counter, but I am pretty sure she’s in the bath with a bottle of wine.

Come on in, but let me check on her.” I walk through the house and head to our bedroom.

I walk into the bedroom and see her clothes on the bed.

I walk to the door to the bathroom. It’s partially open, so I lean against the doorframe and look at my woman.

She’s got candles going, a wine glass in her hand, with the bottle within reach.

ABBA’s song “Knowing Me, Knowing You” is playing.

She’s the most beautiful woman in the world to me.

I know she’d argue about gray hairs and stretch marks, but all I see when I look at her is the love of my life.

“I can hear you thinking from here.” She rolls her head in my direction and opens her eyes, giving me a small smile.

“I’m fine. I don’t know whose bits I saw, but I can tell you whoever they came from was either already dead when the bits were cut off and then frozen, or the whole body was frozen, and the bits were then cut off.

They’re not even thawed very much.” She takes a sip of wine like she is just telling me what we need from the store.

This woman. “I love you, you know that, right?” She smiles even bigger.

“I know. I think I would know it more if you got undressed and joined me in here.” I am a little surprised she’s not freaking out more about the package.

She continues to surprise me. “I figured that package has something to do with why Erik ended up in the hospital and everything around that. I also figure that you’ll tell me what you can when you can.

I trust you to tell me if my kids were in danger.

I’m trusting you, Mathis.” I walk over to the bathtub, lean down, and kiss her.

I kiss her with the emotions I can’t put into words.

The fact that she has trust in me like that is overwhelming, and I’ll be damned if she ever has a reason to question that trust. “I would love to join you, but first, I have a few brothers in the living room who’ve come to collect the package.

Let me send them on their way, and I’ll be right back.

” I kiss her again and head out to the living room.

Tripp notices me first and gives a chin lift.

“She doing okay? I mean, I know she’s a doctor, but I don’t think this shit is something she’s used to.

” He hands me the box so I can look at it.

Yep, exactly what Kimbra said was in there.

“She seems fine. She’s in there having a bath and told me she trusts me.

She said she knows I’ll tell her what I can when I can and that she’s trusting me to keep her and the kids safe. ”

Ry, ever the comedian, decides to enter into the conversation.

“She’s a mom, a mom to three kids, including one who may end up blowing something up one day out of curiosity.

I doubt this is her first case of Hakuna ma fuck it.

” What in the? Mike looks at him like he’s crazy, which sometimes that’s not far off.

“What the fuck did you just say?” He rolls his eyes like Branson does often.

“Hakuna ma fuck it. It’s when you decide to give zero fucks and no worries and just let the shit show carry on.

She’s a mom. I think she looks at a situation and decides whether it’s worth freaking out about or not.

She trusts you, and by extension, she trusts us to make sure she and the kids stay safe. She’s right, too. We will.”

Mike must be done with Ry’s logic. He takes the package and heads toward the door.

“I’ll get this back to the clubhouse and have the guys look at it, but I have a feeling it’s from the same source as the last box we got.

We’ll see you at church tomorrow. If something else shows up, you know how to get a hold of us.

” I follow them out the door to see them go.

I also want to double-check the porch for anything else in case Kimbra might have missed it.

I see nothing else on the porch, so I go inside and lock the door with a singular mission in mind.

Time for me to spend some quality time with my woman.

Walking to the bedroom, I start losing clothes, not wanting to waste any more time.

By the time I’m fully in the bedroom, I’m down to my boxers.

I push them down and kick them off just as I push open the bathroom door.

Kimbra looks up and bites her lip in anticipation.

“I’m guessing everyone is gone. I warmed up the water.

Want to join me?” I walk over to the tub.

“I most definitely do.” She moves forward in the large tub to let me in behind her.

I slide in, and the warm water feels amazing, but not as amazing as my woman in my arms. I pull her into my lap, and I kiss her neck.

“So, other than the last half hour, how was your day?”

She tells me about her day and what Brian said when he came to get the kids.

“Do you think he’s gonna change and be better with them?

” She shrugs. “I can hope. However, I’ve come to the realization that it’s his job to make sure he’s got a good relationship with them and not mine.

I can just be cordial and not put obstacles in the way, which I have no plans on doing.

I just know what it’s like to not have a dad, and I always wanted them to have what I didn’t, and they do—with him and with you.

While you were dealing with that box, I got an interesting text.

” I kiss her neck again. “Oh yeah? What’s that?

” She hums, then answers. “Seems the brotherhood gossip train runs fast. I got a text from Jane. Says she heard from a reliable source, so you know it’s gotta be Juan.

Anyhow, she heard that when you heard about the box, you told them you had to make sure me and our kids were safe.

” I pause my kissing her neck and sigh. “I did.” I’m not sure if she’s upset or okay with it.

She turns in the tub and kisses me with such emotion that if I wasn’t already hard, I’d be there with just a moment of a kiss like that from her.

She breaks the kiss and touches her forehead to mine.

“I know I’ve been in love with you for a while now, but I really do think you’re some kind of unicorn.

” I peck a quick kiss on her lips. “Not a unicorn, just a man who’s waited a lifetime for a love like this.

You make loving you easy, and your kids, probably because they have so much of you, are just as easy to love. ”

Kimbra begins to rub against me and kisses my neck, moving to my ear.

“Make love to me.” What my woman wants, my woman gets.

I reach down as she’s still kissing my neck and guide myself to her entrance.

I feel myself slide in easily. I go to move my finger to find her clit when Kimbra’s hand reaches down to stop me.

I look up at her, questioning her action.

“I want to ride you and bring you pleasure this time. You sit back and enjoy.” Well hell.

I let her put my hands on each side of the tub.

“You do what you want, love.” She places her hands on my chest and starts slowly moving up and down.

Heaven has to be what it feels like to be inside of her.

The urge to move or pull her to me to kiss her and touch her is so strong it’s almost impossible to leave my hands where they are.

Kimbra moans, and I know she’s getting close to coming.

“Oh…you always feel so amazing…” She moves her hands, grabs each of her breasts, and teases her nipples.

The sight has me getting so close to coming.

I lose the battle to touch her and reach up and cup my hands over hers on her breasts.

She moves even faster, and her head flies back at the same time her legs squeeze around me as her orgasm hits her.

“AHHH! GOD, YES!!” Her coming makes mine come rushing forward.

The fireworks hit me, and I feel myself emptying myself inside of her.

Kimbra collapses onto my chest, and I hold her close, needing to feel her heartbeat next to mine.

She doesn’t move, but I can feel her smile a minute or so later.

“That’s the most fun I’ve ever had in this tub.

It definitely beats bath time.” I chuckle at her observation.

I kiss the top of her head and know now that I’m going to have to revisit this in our bathtub again and soon.
