Chapter 34 A Wedding

Two weeks later, Juliet and Cassian arrived at the most luxurious jewelry boutique in the city.

The moment they stepped out of the car, a line of impeccably dressed employees was already waiting outside.

"Welcome, Mr. Han. Miss Gray," the manager greeted respectfully, bowing slightly. "As requested, the store has been reserved exclusively for you today."

Cassian slipped a hand around Juliet's waist, his touch possessive yet gentle, guiding her inside as if afraid she might accidentally bump into something.

Juliet glanced around the dazzling showroom, her eyes widening slightly at the rows of sparkling jewelry displayed beneath crystal chandeliers.

"You booked the entire store?" she asked, turning to look at him.

Cassian's expression remained calm. "I didn't want anyone disturbing us."

Juliet shook her head with a soft laugh.

Tray after tray of exquisite wedding rings was brought out and placed before them.

A handsome sales assistant carefully selected the first ring and approached Juliet with a professional smile.

"Miss Gray, let me help you try this one on—"

Before the assistant could touch her, Cassian's eyes narrowed almost imperceptibly.

The atmosphere instantly cooled.

The assistant froze mid-motion.

Without a word, Cassian smoothly took the ring from him.

"I'll do it."

The young man immediately stepped back, suddenly feeling a tremendous pressure.

Juliet pressed her lips together, trying not to smile.

Jealous again.

Cassian settled beside her and gently took her left hand into his. His large fingers wrapped around hers carefully, as though handling something precious.

The cold platinum ring slid onto her finger.

Juliet raised her hand, tilting it beneath the light. The diamond glittered brilliantly.

She studied it for several seconds before wrinkling her nose.

"No. I don't like it."

Without the slightest impatience, Cassian removed it.

The second ring.

Juliet examined it before shaking her head.

"Too flashy."

The third.

"The design is outdated."

The fourth.

"It's pretty, but it doesn't feel right."

One ring after another, Cassian patiently changed them for her.

Nearly two hours passed.

The employees watched in stunned silence.

The legendary Cassian Han—known for his ruthless temperament and terrifying lack of patience—was sitting quietly beside his fiancée, carefully sliding rings on and off her finger, never once showing irritation.

Finally, the last ring was presented.

The delicate platinum band was adorned with a breathtaking diamond surrounded by tiny hand-set stones.

The moment Cassian slipped it onto her finger, Juliet's eyes lit up.

A genuine smile slowly spread across her face.

"This one."

Cassian looked down at her hand.

The ring looked as though it had been made specifically for her.

His cold expression softened immediately.

Lifting her hand, he pressed a tender kiss against her knuckles, his dark eyes filled with unconcealed affection.

"It suits you perfectly," he murmured.

Several employees discreetly looked away, feeling as though they were intruding on an intimate moment.

Cassian turned toward the manager.

"Make an identical one for me."

The manager nodded eagerly. "Of course, Mr. Han."

Just then, Juliet's phone rang.

Still admiring her ring, she answered absentmindedly without checking the screen.

"Hello?"

Alexa's smug voice immediately rang through the speaker.

"Juliet, I thought you should know that Vincent agreed to marry me."

Juliet's smile disappeared.

She sat straighter, her expression cooling instantly.

Alexa continued triumphantly, "Honestly, it wasn't even difficult. All I had to do was convince him that you were just playing games and trying to manipulate him. He believed me immediately."

Cassian noticed the sudden change in Juliet's expression. His brows furrowed.

"And that emerald-green reception dress you planned to wear for your wedding with Vincent?" Alexa laughed mockingly. "I'm wearing it instead. It looks much better on me anyway."

Juliet let out a short, amused laugh.

"Alexa," she said lazily, examining her new ring, "if stealing another woman's leftovers is your greatest achievement, your life is even sadder than I thought."

Without waiting for a response, she ended the call.

She tossed the phone onto the sofa with an irritated huff.

Cassian gently brushed a strand of hair away from her face.

"What happened?"

"Nothing important," Juliet muttered. "Just an annoying pest."

Then, almost instantly, her mood changed.

She turned toward him, wrapped both arms around his arm, and looked up at him with an unusually sweet smile.

Cassian immediately became suspicious.

"What do you want?" he asked, though there was obvious amusement in his voice.

Juliet leaned her head against his shoulder.

"Husband-to-be," she said softly, blinking innocently, "can I spend a few million extra on something for our wedding?"

Cassian didn't even hesitate.

"Of course."

Juliet blinked. "You didn't even ask what it is."

"If it's for our wedding, buy it."

His answer was immediate.

In fact, he looked pleased.

The thought that Juliet wanted to personally spend his money on something for their wedding filled Cassian with a ridiculous amount of satisfaction. To him, it meant that she was already wholeheartedly embracing their future together, and that alone was enough to put him in an unusually good mood.

Juliet smiled brightly.

"You're surprisingly easy to persuade."

Cassian slowly pulled her closer until there was barely any distance between them.

His thumb gently brushed across her cheek.

"I'm not agreeing for free, Mrs. Han."

Juliet raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

A slow smile spread across his face.

"I expect repayment later."

Understanding instantly dawned in her eyes.

Heat crept onto her cheeks.

"Shameless," she accused, lightly poking his chest.

Cassian caught her hand and kissed her fingertips again.

"You knew exactly what kind of man you agreed to marry."

Juliet laughed softly, unable to hide her smile.

"Fine," she said finally. "Deal."

Cassian's eyes gleamed with satisfaction as he drew her hand to his lips once more, looking entirely too pleased with himself.

A week later, Vincent paced restlessly inside the lavish wedding hall, his jaw clenched so tightly that the veins in his neck stood out. His eyes kept darting toward the entrance every few seconds, filled with anticipation and anxiety.

"Are you absolutely sure Juliet will come?" he asked for what felt like the hundredth time, his voice strained. "She'll stop this wedding, right? She'll come back for me?"

Standing beside him in her elegant green gown, Alexa forced a reassuring smile despite the irritation building inside her.

"Of course she will," Alexa said confidently, taking his hand. "Juliet loves you too much to let you marry someone else. She's probably on her way right now. Just go through with the ceremony. Once she sees you getting married, she'll definitely show up."

Her words finally calmed Vincent a little.

Soon, the wedding ceremony began.

Guests filled the grand hall as soft music played in the background. Vincent stood at the altar, but his attention remained fixed on the entrance. Every time the doors opened, hope flashed in his eyes—only to be replaced by disappointment.

Just then, Griffin hurried over with a strange expression on his face.

"Congratulations, man," Griffin said awkwardly. "I never thought you'd choose to get married on the exact same day as your ex."

Vincent frowned. "What are you talking about?"

Griffin looked stunned. "Wait... you don't know?"

A bad feeling instantly settled in Vincent's stomach.

"Know what?" he demanded.

Without saying another word, Griffin pulled out his phone and played a video.

The moment Vincent saw the screen, his entire body froze.

In the video, Juliet stood in a breathtaking wedding dress, wrapped tightly in Cassian's arms. In front of countless guests, Cassian lowered his head and kissed her passionately while everyone around them cheered.

"They got married today," Griffin said quietly. "A friend who attended the wedding sent me this video."

Boom.

It felt as though a bomb had exploded inside Vincent's head.

His face turned deathly pale.

"No... that's impossible."

His hands trembled violently as he replayed the video over and over again, unable to accept what he was seeing.

Juliet had gotten married.

And she hadn't come back for him.

She hadn't stopped his wedding.

She had chosen another man.

"Juliet..." he whispered brokenly.

The next second, Vincent completely lost control.

Ignoring the shocked guests, he shoved past everyone and ran out of the wedding hall.

"Vincent!" Alexa screamed, instantly chasing after him.

She grabbed his arm outside. "Stop! Where are you going?"

"Let go of me!" Vincent roared, violently shaking her off.

"Are you insane?" Alexa hissed through gritted teeth. "The ceremony is still going on! If you leave now, you'll ruin everything!"

"I don't care!" Vincent shouted, his eyes bloodshot. "I have to see Juliet!"

Realizing she could no longer hide the truth, Alexa's expression darkened.

"If you walk away now," she threatened coldly, "don't blame me for what happens next."

But Vincent acted as though he hadn't heard a single word. He rushed toward his car and sped away.

Inside the hall, the guests had already begun whispering among themselves. Alexa could feel countless mocking and curious gazes directed at her.

Humiliated beyond measure, Alexa clenched her fists so hard that her nails dug painfully into her palms.

There was no way she would allow Vincent to go to Juliet.

Without wasting another second, Alexa hurried to her car and sped after him, following him all the way to Juliet and Cassian's wedding venue.

By the time she arrived, Vincent had already rushed inside.

Furious, Alexa quickly got out of her car and stormed into the lavish banquet hall.

However, the moment she stepped through the entrance, someone abruptly shoved a stack of dirty dinner plates into her hands.

"Where have you been?" a supervisor barked angrily. "Everyone else is busy working while you're slacking off! Hurry up and clear those tables!"

Alexa staggered back, almost dropping the plates.

"What are you doing?" she snapped, horrified. "Do you even know who I am?"

The woman rolled her eyes impatiently. "I don't care who you are. Stop wasting time and get back to work."

Only then did Alexa notice something strange.

She looked around the grand banquet hall.

And froze.

Every single server in the room was wearing the exact same dress as hers.

The emerald-green fabric.

The delicate hand-stitched embroidery.

The intricate flowers and vines woven into the design.

Alexa's face instantly turned deathly pale.

This wasn't a cheap imitation.

It was the original designer gown.

The very same expensive dress that had once belonged to Juliet—the dress Juliet had planned to wear at her wedding reception with Vincent.

Back then, jealous and unwilling to let Juliet have it, Alexa had begged Vincent to give the dress to her instead. And Vincent, without a second thought, had taken it from Juliet and handed it over to Alexa.

Alexa had always treated that dress as a symbol of her victory.

But now...

Every waitress at Juliet's wedding was wearing it.

The priceless designer masterpiece had been reduced to nothing more than a server uniform.

Whispers immediately spread through the hall.

"Isn't that Alexa Gray?"

"Oh my God. She's dressed exactly like the servers."

"I heard that dress originally belonged to Juliet."

"Looks like Juliet got her revenge."

Someone secretly took a picture of Alexa.

Within minutes, it was uploaded online.

'Alexa crashed Juliet's wedding dressed like the waitstaff. Lol.'

The comments flooded in instantly, mocking and ridiculing her.

Alexa's entire body shook with humiliation.

Then she raised her head toward the stage.

Standing beside Cassian Han in her breathtaking wedding gown, Juliet was laughing so hard she could barely breathe.

The moment their eyes met, Juliet gradually stopped laughing.

She didn't say a single word.

She simply smirked.

Then she flashed Alexa a brilliant, victorious grin.

Alexa nearly lost her mind.

At that moment, Vincent stormed into the hall.

The second he saw Juliet standing beside another man, his face drained of all color.

"Juliet!"

Ignoring everyone around him, Vincent rushed toward the stage.

But before he could climb the stairs, several bodyguards dressed in black stepped in front of him.

"Move!" Vincent roared. "I need to talk to her!"

The men didn't budge.

"Mr. Han has ordered that no one disturb the wedding."

Vincent glared at Juliet, his eyes bloodshot.

"Juliet! How could you do this to me?" he shouted. "You cheated on me! You said you loved me!"

The entire hall fell silent.

Juliet looked down at him calmly, as if he were nothing more than a stranger causing a disturbance.

"Cheat on you?" she repeated coldly. "Mr. Jacobs, you were flirting with a thousand other women while expecting me to wait for you like a good wife."

She shook her head.

"You really need to learn to respect other people. You lost any right to interfere in my life the moment you chose someone else over me."

Vincent's expression crumbled.

Juliet continued mercilessly, "Forget about me, Vincent. You already have more than enough people around you willing to agree with whatever you want to hear. You don't need me."

Vincent shook his head desperately.

"No, Juliet. Please." His voice cracked. "Come back to me. I know I was wrong. I can change. Please give me another chance."

For a moment, Juliet simply stared at him.

Then, without hesitation, she turned toward Cassian.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.

Cassian immediately pulled his bride against him and hungrily deepened the kiss.

The guests erupted into applause.

Vincent stood frozen.

The last shred of hope inside him shattered completely.

His eyes turned red, tears threatening to spill over at any moment.

He looked as though he might burst into tears right there in front of everyone.

When the kiss finally ended, Juliet merely smiled.

Cassian glanced at Vincent once before making a subtle motion with his hand.

His bodyguards immediately moved forward.

"Please leave," one of them said firmly. "Do not ruin Mr. and Mrs. Han's wedding day."

Vincent and Alexa were forcibly escorted out of the venue under the mocking gazes of countless guests.

Behind them, the celebration continued as if they had never existed.

Ignoring Vincent and Alexa completely, Cassian lowered his head and hungrily kissed his bride again.
