Chapter 37

Thirty-Seven

The night before Easter Sunday, Arthur couldn’t sleep. There was a bitter taste in his mouth like he had been chewing on a

knelt next to the mattress, and prayed, as his mother had showed him how to pray. He prayed to God to let Jayne and Ronnie

live.
