Chapter 11 #3
The club wasn’t far from the hotel, and we were one drink in within an hour of leaving my riad.
Colored lights swept across the crowd, while the bass rolled through the club.
I wasn’t familiar with the music, but I could vibe to anything, and the crowd was loving us.
We were at the bar waiting for my second drink while bodies moved in every direction around us.
From my position, I could see a stage where dancers twirled fire, and bottles with sparklers bounced through the air toward the right side of the club.
I felt a pair of hands on my waist, and Xain’s voice came low against my ear before I could turn around and go off. His warm breath prickled across my skin, sending electricity directly to my center.
My head was so gone that I didn’t have a clue what Xain said.
Once my brain registered that his voice meant those were his hands, I was putty, struggling to remain on my feet.
I spun around, and instantly regretted that.
The club was packed, and we were so close that we might as well kiss.
My nipples pebbled at the thought, and I cursed myself for wearing the thin ass dress.
Xain wore a simple dark green Prada jogger set with a white T-shirt beneath the hoodie, and his gold Cuban-link chain hung around his neck. My eyes narrowed in on him because he wasn’t dressed for the club at all, more like an evening jog or work.
“Q got an alert when you used the company card to book the car service, so he sent me over here to keep an eye on you,” he advised me.
“That’s why you came to the club dressed like you’re ready for work. You are working,” I grumbled. “You’re still here, so let’s dance.”
Xain lifted his hand and beckoned to the bartender.
I spun around, not believing that the bartender who acted like he couldn’t see us for the last ten minutes suddenly wanted to take our order.
We quickly ordered our drinks, and I got a fourth drink for Xain to loosen up.
The two girls with me noticed Xain’s presence and gently nudged an elbow into my arm.
“Malony and Gigi, this is Xain. He’s my bodyguard,” I introduced them.
“Bodyguard?” They yelled over the music as Xain gave them a quick head nod.
“Long story,” I waved them off as the bartender came back with the first two drinks. “Y’all can take the car service back to the hotel. I’ll be riding back with him.”
“Okay.” They nodded, accepting their drinks.
I sipped from my glass and shoved the second glass of brown liquor in Xain’s direction.
“Ion drink when I’m on duty,” he declined.
“Xain, I’m nobody. Q really could’ve let you relax tonight. I’m a big girl. I can handle myself.”
“Mmmm Hmmmm,” he nodded his head.
“If you’re going to stay, you have to drink and dance with me.” I shoved the glass into his hand.
He nodded, guzzling the drink down. Even that simple action was sexy.
I took my simple lemon drop and threw it back.
The bartender returned with my card, and I closed out my tab.
Taking Xain’s hand in mine, I pulled him a little further away from the bar, giving a little space for us to dance and blend in with the crowd.
It felt like the Afrobeats pulled everybody into motion, whether you were familiar with the music or not.
We were face to face and moving without thinking about it.
Xain’s hand settled on my waist again, and I said fuck it.
I was about to go all in. We swayed and stepped to the rhythm.
I don’t know what the next few minutes were like from Xain’s point of view, but the rest of the club disappeared, and he had all of my attention.
All of my inhibitions went out the window when the song changed, and I turned around, allowing my ass to press up against him.
I felt his dick pressing up against my ass, and his hand went from my waist, lowering to the hem of my dress.
My mind told me to go harder, and I whined my hips to the beat.
Xain’s chin found its way to the crook of my neck as he whispered in my ear.
“You keep dancing like that, and I’mma fuck you, Khaleesi. That’s what you wanted ever since you saw my dick print earlier,” he spoke into my ear. Cocky and confident.
I spun around, wrapping my arms around Xain’s neck so we were as close as we could possibly get. His big hands found their way to my ass, and he cupped both cheeks. In my heels, our height difference wasn’t as drastic, allowing Xain to nibble on my earlobe.
“Put your hand up my dress. I want you to see how correct your assertion is,” I encouraged.
My feet left the ground, and I was hoisted into Xain’s arms moments later. I thought we were going to do some freakier dancing, but that wasn’t the case. Xain’s feet were leading us to the exit. The sea of people parted, making our trek easy.
Outside, beneath the red lighting the club emitted, I examined every inch of Xain’s face up close.
The man was a work of art that I had to grow to appreciate.
Our constant beef blinded me to everything that was right in front of me.
His scars were healing nicely, and he was still handsome with the battle wounds.
The eye covering was gone, and the stitches on his eyelid were removed.
The cold night air raised goosebumps on my skin.
Xain’s warm body kept my front half warm while his hands kept my ass toasty.
I squeezed Xain tighter, burying my face into the crook of his neck, hoping to siphon more of his warmth.
The smell of citrus and smoky wood blended into an aphrodisiac.
I’d loved that smell since the first day in the hotel.
I could finally admit that to myself. Inhaling deeply, I wasn’t ashamed to take in the scent.
Mid-step, I leaned down and mashed my lips against Xain.
He deepened the kiss, and it was better than I imagined.
His long, thick tongue took the lead, and I happily submitted.
Our tongues danced for a few moments before Xain broke the kiss.
I felt his hard dick poking into me and emitted an audible groan.
“We’re almost to the truck.”
“Okay,” I giggled, seeing the pink gloss saturating Xain’s lips.
