This recipe makes enough for at least four people, possibly more depending on what you serve with it.
INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Brown ground beef in a large frying pan in shortening.
Add tomato sauce, onions, peppers, celery, and garlic.
Let simmer with meat till cooked.
Add tomato soup, tomato paste, mushrooms and olives.
Mix well.
Boil noodles per the package directions.
Mix together in a casserole dish and top with cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes.
NOTES:
We don’t change much in this recipe except we don’t cook the meat in shortening, and I don’t ever remember using a whole thing of celery.
A few stalks chopped is fine. You can slice the green olives if they’re big.
If they’re the smaller-sized ones, keep them whole.
This is good as leftovers, too. Even my non-olive-loving husband likes this.
