Cake Mix Hack
Cake Mix Hack
Like I’ve said previously, I’m not a baker ’cause I have problems sticking to exact measurements.
I think that’s why I made Jane one—it’s something I’ve always wished I could be better at.
In my head, these are some of the hacks that Jane would’ve used and that I definitely use.
Life is too short not to take the help to make things not only easier, but more delicious while we’re at it.
None of these are rocket science, but I have found that they make the mix taste more homemade.
This works for any cake mix (although I have not tried it with white cake mix).
For the water, substitute, milk. For chocolate cakes, I substitute ⒈/⒉ milk and ⒈/⒉ coffee (sometimes all coffee).
Add an additional egg than what the mix calls for.
Instead of adding the vegetable oil, I add the same amount of melted butter.
