Joel #3

We find the perfect rhythm that drags a groan out of my mouth and a moan from hers. The water’s off, but my body is burning up. Our skin slaps together. Harder, then faster. She twists her wrists as she grinds her ass on me.

I’m fighting to hold back my release, and Rose is whimpering as she bucks against me. I slam into her again, put my mouth to her throat, wanting to bite.

She arches her neck. “Do it.”

My thrusts slow, and my heart skips a beat. “Rose?”

“Bite. I need you to. Please.”

I didn’t think my cock could be any harder. But is she… begging for my claiming bite? Please don’t let me be imagining this.

“Rose,” I groan, still thrusting. I couldn’t stop even if I wanted to. I kiss her throat, right above Murph’s bite, where I want to leave my mark. “You have to be sure.”

There’s no taking this back.

Her chocolate-brown eyes meet mine, glassy with need. “Bite me as you fuck me, Joel.”

The growl that rumbles from my chest is primal. It’s feral. And it comes from the place inside me that needs to claim Rose.

I lick the spot I want to bite, and her eyes close as she rests her head against my shoulder.

And I bite down. Hard enough to leave my mark.

Hard enough to claim her as mine. She freezes, chokes out a strangled moan, and her pussy tightens like a fist around my dick. I pull my teeth from her throat.

“Fuck.” My pace picks up, and I pin her wrists to the slippery tile, my body driving hard against hers.

The pressure inside me explodes, and tiny white stars burst behind my closed eyelids.

I press my face to her throat to muffle my growl as my cock swells inside her, my knot locking us tight and triggering Rose’s second climax.

Struggling to catch my breath, I lower Rose’s hands from the wall and wrap my arms around her as her pussy keeps delivering muscle-quivering aftershocks that make me want to keep my dick inside her for the rest of my life.

“Rose?” I kiss her neck.

“I’m okay,” she says, her voice husky and still shaky.

I smile. “What makes you think that’s what I was going to ask you?”

She turns her head to meet my gaze. Her eyes are warm and soft. “You care about me too much not to ask. I always hear it in your voice.”

“It’s a lot more than care, Rose.” I peer down at her beautiful face, amazed.

“What is it?” she asks, searching my expression. “Why are you looking at me like that?”

“Feeling like the luckiest guy in the world that I get to call you mine. Love. That’s what this is. I’ve never felt anything like it in my life, and I doubt I ever will again.”

She kisses me softly, a tender caress. “I love you too, Joel. It’s why I couldn’t go to bed until I knew you were home safe, and it’s why I wanted you to bite me. My future is in Rios with you.”

We kiss until it hits me how long it’s been since I switched off the water. Breaking away, I frown. “You must be cold.”

She shakes her head, her smile impish. “Turns out you have this amazing ability to distract me so well that I no longer give a damn whether I’m tired, naked, or cold.”

I chuckle. “The feeling is mutual, baby. But let me get you warm, dry, and move this somewhere more comfortable.”

“Your bed?” she asks hopefully.

I make a face. “You don’t want to see the mess in my room. Your bed, definitely.”

She laughs. “Okay.”

I angle my body so my back hits the spray before I turn on the shower, waiting until it’s nice and hot before I move Rose under it.

Once we’ve warmed ourselves up again, I snag a towel and scoop her into my arms, carrying her to her bedroom to dry off, where I convince her to stay up for just a little longer. And not to talk.

It’s bright and early when Rose’s bedroom door swings open.

“Mommy!”

Shit.

We break apart and bolt upright in bed, yanking the sheets up.

Rose to her neck. I cover everything below the waist. We’ve been up for hours, talking, making love, and snuggling.

I should have known it was only a matter of time before Ben came looking for his mom.

Instead, I’d let the woman I love distract me beyond reason that I stopped using my brain.

She’s not breathing as Ben walks in wearing his plastic yellow firefighter's helmet. He looks cute as hell, but that’s way down low on my thinking points right now. A distant thought only. My only priority is getting through this moment without mentally scarring Ben.

Ben scratches the sleeve of his firefighter pajamas, smiling as if he hadn’t just walked in on us kissing in Rose’s bed. “Hi, Mommy. Hi, Joel.”

“Hey, Ben,” I say, half my attention on Ben and the other on Rose. She looks as if she’s preparing to dive off the bed and hide in her closet. I’m ready to join her the second she moves.

“Hi, baby. You sleep okay?” Rose asks, sounding surprisingly calm despite her flame-red cheeks.

“Uh-huh. I was riding a green dinosaur.” Ben climbs onto the bottom of the bed and sits cross-legged. “Can I play with Harry today?”

She lets out a quiet sigh of relief, and her grip on the sheet loosens. “Um, he’s at school today, but I can speak to Lina about a playdate at her house or here if she says it’s okay.”

He climbs off the bed. “Okay. I’m gonna make something with Murph.”

She frowns. “Is he awake?”

“I’m awake,” Murph calls out from down the hallway. “Come on, rugrat. We’ll work on that surprise for your mom.”

“Surprise?” I ask.

She shakes her head. “He refuses to tell me what it is, and I thought I’d have gotten it out of him by now.” She turns back to Ben. “Go work on your surprise with Murph for now. I’ll be out in a bit to brush your teeth and get you dressed.”

“I can do that.” Murph appears in the doorway.

I hold my breath as he walks toward the bed, bends, and touches his mouth to Rose’s. “Morning, sweetheart.”

“Morning,” she says quietly, cheeks flushing. “And thanks.”

Murph straightens. “Take a little longer in bed. You need the rest. I know you were waiting up for Joel last night.” His eyes flick to the bite on Rose’s neck.

My brother’s warning and his promise to avenge me if Murph kills me for taking things too far with Rose flash through my mind.

So long, brother. It was nice knowing you.

But Murph turns away without a word. He takes Ben’s hand, and they leave to build whatever it is they’ve been keeping secret from Rose. This is the first I’m hearing of the surprise, but there’s no use asking him to spill the beans. If anyone knows how to keep his mouth shut, it’s Murph.

“And Joel?” Murph stops at the doorway and turns to face me.

I’d started breathing again, but at those two words, every muscle in my body tenses. “Yeah?” I ask hesitantly.

“Quit holding your breath. Idiot.”

And they leave. Murph pulls the door closed, and I hear him asking Ben about his dream, and Ben telling him all about it.

I look at Rose. “I don’t know what I was expecting, but it wasn’t that.”

“He said he wasn’t going to kill you for sleeping with me, Joel.”

I draw her close, and we both lie down again. “Knowing and being certain are not the same thing.”

“I was worried about how Ben would react. I told him you all wanted us to be a pack, and he was fine with it, but finding us in bed together might have been more than he could handle. I’m surprised how well he took it.”

“Ben’s smart. He knows how we feel about you, and I’m pretty sure he knows how you feel about us too.” I brush the hair from her face as I peer down at her. Further down the hallway, Ben is giggling, and Murph is hushing him. Win asks what they’re whispering about, and gets loudly hushed by both.

We grin at each other.

“What do you think you’re building in that spare room?” she asks, voice low.

“No idea.” I bend my head and lick my bite on her neck.

Her breath catches. “Joel…”

“I estimate we have…” I kiss the bite, and a soft sound escapes her throat. “Maybe ten minutes before I have to get up for work, or Ben might barge in again.”

Her hands slide up over my back. “And how do you propose we spend those ten minutes?”

I lift my head to peer down at her. “Do you trust yourself not to scream or make too much noise? I’m not leaving this bed until you’ve come twice.”

She swallows. “Um. No.”

“No to coming twice or keeping quiet?”

Her breathing picks up. “Definitely the second thing.”

“That’s my girl.” Grinning, I cover her mouth with mine.

She breaks the kiss to say, “You might have to bend me over something so I can bite down on my pillow.”

“You like me bending you over things, huh?” I tease.

“Is fire hot?” she asks, wrapping her arms and legs around me.

I’m late for work.

Not that I care.

And to my surprise, Noah doesn’t tear into me about it. I’m not sure I’d mind if he did. He just raises his eyebrow and points me to the task he needs done. But there’s no way he could miss the biggest, shit-eating grin he’s likely ever seen in his life, and that no one can dislodge from my face.
