Chapter 1

Violet

I'm sure it's just the economy killing everyone's need for paid sex, but it's killing my wallet that we have had a slow reduction in customers over the last year. I used to get at least three customers a night, and now I'm lucky to get one.

Even the weird guys stopped coming in, you know, the ones that ask for the taboo or straight-up freaky things.

Tonight, however, I haven't had any customers. None of the girls have. I've gone room to room just to see if maybe I was the problem.

Nope, we're really this slow. It's infuriating.

I make a lap around the brothel for at least the dozenth time, debating just giving up and going home at this point. I assumed we'd be even busier tonight since it's the full moon, crazy things happen during the full moon in this town.

Usually, there are disappearances, murders, riots, robberies, and so much more. It's a hectic night for the cops and a profitable night for us escorts. Tonight seems to be the exception.

By the time I finish my lap around the massive brothel, I take a look in the parking lot. There isn't a single car aside from the other girls and a few security guards. Yeah, fuck this. I'm going home.

I head back up to the room I had rented for the night, honestly kind of pissed off that it cost me money tonight rather than making any.

This place operates like a hotel, you rent a room for the evening, but you have to be out before the sun comes up.

You never know if you'll be in the same room twice but at least all the rooms and the rates are the same.

I toss my long coat on, shrug my bag over my shoulder, and head for the door with my head hung low.

This was a great outfit, too. Fishnet tights, a super short leather skirt, a matching leather bra that makes my tits look fantastic, black high heels, and a long and gorgeous brunette wig. I look way too good to go home broke.

On my way out the door, I see a customer walking in, the only one of the night so far. I know the girls will love that and I'm pissed at myself for turning in my room key already.

“Excuse me.” The man says, flashing me a dazzling white smile. I sigh, lifting my arm and pointing toward the hallway of available women. “They're all down that hallway, babe.” I say kindly.

I expect this man to keep going. I expect him to find an available woman and fuck her brains out, this man looks like he can fuck, but he doesn't. He stays rooted in front of me. “Are you not available?” He asks casually.

I quickly do the math in my head; I would have to charge double my usual rate to even profit from this since I'd have to rent a whole new room. “I already turned my key in for the night, babe.” I say with a sad shrug.

This gorgeous man stares down at me, all sex and sin written on every one of his features, and smiles. “That's convenient, I was needing someone to come back to my place with me.” He mentions.

I make a face for only the briefest second, schooling my face back to stoic and indifferent a moment later.

Going back to a man's house is risky, very risky.

I've only ever done it with a few clients, and they've all been ones I've known for years, and I always have the address beforehand or meet them at their home.

I don't even have my gun with me tonight…

“I'm sorry, you don't even know me. My name is Adler Lewis and I'd love to take you home. What price will make that happen?” He asks confidently.

I smile up at this gorgeous man, studying his features for a moment.

He's tall, ridiculously so, with sharp and muscular features.

He has a nice bit of dark black stubble on his face and perfect black hair to match it with the smallest littering of dark gray throughout.

His eyes are such a light honey brown that they're almost gold.

What stands out though is his teeth, they're perfect.

They're so bright and white, perfectly straight, and the only flaw is that his canines are slightly sharp-looking.

This may be a mistake, but I can't find it in me to care. “Double my usual rate to go home with a stranger. So, $600 an hour.” I say confidently. It's nowhere near double my rate, I charge $120 an hour but times are tough and he said he'd pay.

Adler smiles, reaching out a hand to me that I hesitantly take.

This is either going to be a huge mistake or I'm going to get my brains fucked out and make rent on time.
