Infuriating man-child!

Anderson just smirks at me as I question what I heard before passing out. Infuriating man-child. I am distracted momentarily by Monty’s chuckle before Anderson speaks.

“What if I told you that’s exactly what I’m doing. My brother has no idea where you are, and he won’t give up until you’re untouchable. This offer makes you untouchable and means I win.”

Rolling my eyes I scoff, “getting me doesn’t mean you win…” Though I think I win if I get you.

“Anderson doesn’t need you specifically to ‘win’ Jac.

” Taylor speaks now, with gentle seriousness in his tone, my eyes drawing to him as he continues.

“While having you be the Omega our pack selects is certainly a huge upside for us all, he would win because he gets packed up first. The tech empire would be his, should he want it.”

Gasping, my eyes fly back to Anderson for confirmation. He just nods. “This is why he wouldn’t let me leave? Why he was demanding we get packed up by the end of the year.”

Another nod.

“I need all the details Anderson. Now.”

Sighing he settles back, slipping his arm across the top of the couch behind Taylor. “When I graduated in May I became eligible for the CEO spot of James Tech. Something he’s always coveted. Being a first born, and almost six years older than me, he felt it was his right.

“I always figured since I was a James, I’d work there but never really had the interest in running the show. Not until I was brought into a meeting two summers ago, the year before I met you. Our father shared that in his business plan he had a pack clause.”

“What’s that?” I ask, finding my patience wearing thin.

“He said one of us needed to be packed up by the time we’re thirty, or we’ll forfeit the role.

If we both are packed up by then, it’s whoever gets there first that earns the spot.

Though it doesn’t feel like ‘earning’ the spot if you ask me.

I spent all my time at school, working on my grades to keep them up for football.

I never saw myself entering into his empire at such a level.

Then you showed up with him and I knew I’d be anywhere you were.

So, I told the guys I was going to find a way to make it happen. ”

Anderson confesses the next sentences with a shaky breath.

“I wanted to steal you, not so he wouldn't win but so you’d be mine. I always avoided what my brother wanted because he always won, hell we didn’t even play the same sports because he couldn’t share the spotlight.

But Jac, I was determined to make sure I won this time, when I knew my scent match was at stake. ”

Besides that night in the closet, I really haven’t gotten to be this close to Anderson without having to worry about my surroundings.

Always aware of who was watching, who was reporting back to Trent.

I swore to myself if I had the chance, I’d make a move with Anderson.

Yet when I got that moment in the closet, what did I do? I fucking ran from my scent match.

Call it nerves, call it trauma, call it whatever you want. I want my scent matched pack. I deserve it. I’m not running from this again.

So instead of listening to my brain, I’m going to follow my instincts, that are currently calling me to stay.

My instincts take control as I crawl across the couch and into his lap.

His citrus and musk scent wraps around me boldly as I pull his face near mine, straddling his lap.

Forcing him to meet my hazel eyes as I bring life to words I have wanted to say, but never thought I would get the opportunity to.

“Yes, I’ll bond into your pack Anderson.”

Then I kiss him.

Again.

I’m lost to the way Anderson kisses me. It’s exactly what I remember from that stolen moment all those months ago.

His lips guide mine in a dance that I never want to stop, a dance that I could never forget.

My hand glides into the hair at the base of his neck, pulling him back, allowing me to grind down onto him just a touch.

Encouraging him to nibble my bottom lip, both of us are silently asking and obliging for more when someone clears a throat from behind us.

Reminding me that Anderson and I are not alone, and we still have a whole lot to address.

I drop my head to his shoulder as his arms wrap around me, his musky scent engulfing my senses.

The smell settles my instincts, and I turn around in his lap to see the other men on my couch all in various stages of shock and arousal.

Anderson has his hands on my hips now, keeping me tucked into his chest where he rests his head on my shoulder, burying his face into the crook of my neck.

“You do know you aren’t just bonding with me, Runaway. You’re bonding us all.” Anderson removes one hand from my hip to motion to the men staring at me like I’m their next meal.

I certainly would like to be.

My Omega instincts have never been this prominent. I’ve never felt the overwhelming need to please an Alpha. Until now. The feeling of each of their eyes devouring my every movement has my Omega clawing to be released, to strip myself bare and crawl across the floor to present for them.

“I mean yeah, of course.” I squeak out, my nerves are getting the best of me as I think about the logistics of me and three Alphas. “I don’t know much about sharing pack mates or caring for three Alphas, but I can imagine we will figure it out.”

“Don’t forget your Beta, Omega.” Taylor softly growls in my ear from next to where I’m perched, still straddling Anderson’s thighs. My eyes dart to Luke, taking in the look on his face as I study his features.

As a Beta, he won’t have a full scent match like me and the Alphas will, yet he can be mated and marked. So of course his approval matters to me as much as the others, scent match or not. If one is not on board we will not do this.

“What do you say?” He chuckles softly, “Mom has never said a bad word about you, and honestly I was in when these fools said, ‘scent match.’”

Taking a deep breath, I close my eyes. My Omega instincts never have me making rash decisions, and I’ve learned over the years with him to listen more to those when any big decisions are involved. They have always been so steady and consistent, certain with every move.

Those instincts are screaming that these are our Alphas, and this is our Beta.

These are who will provide protection, support, and children.

The time is now.

Opening my eyes I climb out of Anderson’s lap, much to his chagrin, and face them all, my back to the large windowed wall.

With certainty in my words I speak, “so, how do we get started boys?”
