Epilogue

The life we made all these years later is something I couldn't have ever dreamed into existence.
Shortly after returning to Lake City and settling into a new routine as a pack, my heat arrived and we found ourselves starting a new adventure nine months later.
Now here we are, sixteen years later with five children at various stages of life, all of whom are a bundle of personality to match each of us.
Squeals pull me from my thoughts as two little girls race ahead of Anderson and I to the entrance of Ten Pins for our weekly bowling lesson with Monty.
We bought the alley from his family, along with several other businesses several years ago.
He spends most of his days here, it was always his happy place and still is to this day.
Luke and Taylor met us here tonight with our daughter Ivy and second son Tyler in tow. Our oldest, Travis, is too cool to be driving around with all of us now that he’s officially a licensed driver at all of sixteen years old.
Karlie and Willow, the youngest of our little hockey team, screech to the entrance where Karlie immediately shoves the door aside to get through.
She’s always the first to do everything between the two of them.
First to be born, first to walk, first to talk…
I won’t be surprised if she ends up being the first to pack up and Satan help us all when that day comes.
Karlie is a princess through and through, but she also has so many emotions that she fights with constantly.
Even at six years old, we see her battle it.
Willow, her two-minute younger twin sister, is the polar opposite of her. Low is shy, reserved and overly thoughtful with everything. Where Karlie is loud and colorful, Low is the black and white that offsets. The two of them are day and night, and my whole world.
As we make it into the alley, I see our whole pack setting up on our favorite lanes. All except Monty, who is back behind the counter grabbing shoes for a family who is at the desk.
“Hi papaaaaaa!” Willow shrieks as she races towards Monty, Ten Pins is the one place where our little Low comes alive.
She took to bowling before she was really even talking and ever since she has been so much like Monty, shining around the sport.
I am pretty sure that our girl will grow up and just move into the bowling alley.
Chucking I watch our pack move around, so in sync and still so in love after all these years.
Everyone helps Willow and Karlie get ready for their turns bowling.
Karlie shines, being the center of attention while Willow has Monty helping her put on her tiny leopard print shoes on off to the side.
The only color that girl will let anyone put on her, she is so much like me.
While she’s the quietest of all the kids, I know that she will be a force to be reckoned with as she grows. She is my daughter after all.
