Awakening/Awaken

An Omega's Awakening means their scent reaches full maturation. Only after Awakening can the Omega be recognized by their Scent Matches. Trauma or poor health can cause late or early awakening.

Scent Matches

A scent match isn't known immediately. The body has to absorb the other person's pheromones before they activate, and that takes time.

How long depends on how much physical contact there is — the more touching, the faster it happens.

Once a scent is activated, this triggers the Omega's heat which triggers the Alpha's rut.

Scent Gland

The Scent Gland is located on the left side of the neck under the prominent artery. This is where Omegas are claimed.

Suppressants

There are various strains of suppressants.

Heat

Heats happen twice a year. The only time there is another heat is when it is activated by a Scent Match.
