Chapter Nine

Vanessa

I was a naughty little Christmas thief. Instead of going to bed, I stayed up writing, but about an hour in, everything started feeling wrong.

My favorite pajama set felt scratchy against my skin, and the laundry detergent I used to love smelled like shit.

That is how I ended up snooping through the guy's dirty laundry and borrowing some clothes.

A hoodie from Mason

A Knights Hockey shirt from Silas.

And sweatpants from Zayne.

Only after being cocooned in their scents did I calm down and was able to write until my eyes started hurting and the sun was coming up.

I slept like a baby and went right back to writing after a quick shower and an apple.

That's where I was when the guys came home from who knew where later that day.

The sound of them gathering in the kitchen calls to me, but I'm a nervous wreck. Has Mason told them about what happened last night? Would the other two be angry at me? The idea of them not grabbing me for a hug and a kiss made me sad.

I was done writing for the day and had to go downstairs to join them eventually, or one of them would come up looking for me. Sitting in front of my laptop and staring at my cursor wasn't healthy, so I decided to put on my bikini and soak in the hot tub.

After quickly changing and throwing Mason's hoodie back on, I head downstairs, hoping to sneak past them, but the scene in the kitchen has me hovering in the doorway.

Mason has Silas in a headlock while Zayne just stands there eating an apple.

Silas and Mason are yelling at each other as they wrestle.

I start to panic, but then realize they're laughing and having fun.

It was adorable seeing them still act like kids; my heart warmed at how close they've gotten.

They were so in sync, and I've watched them communicate silently more often than not.

It also made me sad that I wasn't part of it anymore.

They were like brothers; I was so scared of messing things up for them. Again.

Zayne spots me first and reaches out for me. When I don't come right away. He quirks a brow and gives me a stern expression that has me hurrying into his arms. He pulls me onto his lap and kisses the side of my head. "I missed you today, baby girl. Why aren't you wearing any pants?"

"I wanted to go relax in the hot tub for a bit."

Mason stops wrestling and looks up, his eyes hooded as he takes me in. "Hey, Ness! We were wondering when you would grace us with your presence."

Silas pushes Mason away from him and comes over to peck my lips. "We were debating which one of us should come and get you."

"Debating?" I ask, laughing.

Mason nods seriously. "Yep. Debating."

I cup my chin as if I'm thinking about it. "I didn't realize debating was a contact sport."

Silas flexes his muscles and grins when he sees me licking my lips. "When you have guns like these, everything is a contact sport."

I throw my head back and laugh loudly. "You are such an idiot. The two of you must be unstoppable on the ice."

"We are!" Silas says, sounding so excited. "Our bond is so strong, I always know exactly where Mason will be."

Zayne rolls his eyes. "You're such an idiot. Of course, you know where Mason is, dumbass. He's the goalie. He never leaves the net."

"Hey! Sometimes he sneaks out!"

"It also takes brains to play hockey, you know. Looking good out there is just an added bonus."

Zayne takes another bite of his apple, shaking his head. "If they had any brain cells, they'd realize I'm the one holding you right now."

Giggling, I lean back into him. "What did the three of you get up to today?"

"We went ice fishing, but lost more than we caught. Silas had a screaming match with their agent and scared all the fish away."

Silas shrugs when I look over at him. "I needed to put my foot down eventually. Made it clear that as much as Mason and I loved playing for the Knights, it wasn't our first priority anymore."

"What is your first priority?"

He thinks about it for a moment before answering. "Family. Pack."

Mason slaps him on the back, and the smile on his face is pure happiness. "It's about time we focus on other things."

Even Zayne seems happy. "Does this mean I don't have to listen to the two of you talking about hockey all the time? Can I stop coming to all of your games now?"

Silas looks offended. "Never, you're our security. Besides, someone has to be there to keep Ness company."

"You want me to come to one of your games?" I ask, feeling giddy.

"If I had my way, you would be at all of them, gorgeous."

I sigh happily. "I'm so happy the three of you made up after everything that happened. You just make sense together."

"The four of us make sense together," Zayne growls, his lips brushing against my ear.

I turn slightly to look at him, trying to figure out what he means, but Silas clears his throat and draws my attention to him.

"I'm pleased to announce that we have not killed each other, despite hearing Mason getting handsy last night." Silas elbows Mason, who grins at me. "I might have been tempted to punch him once or twice when he looked all smug."

Zayne grunts. "I was trying to figure out a way to use him as bait."

I could feel the blood draining from my face as they bantered about hearing me the night before with Mason. They heard me come and were talking about it like it was no big deal. I wanted to die of embarrassment. Looking down at my lap, I wondered how dramatic it would be to run out of the room.

"Fuck! Ness, we are so sorry. I didn't mention it to make you feel uncomfortable, I promise." Silas comes over, cupping my face with his big hands and tilting my head so I'm looking at him. "We're not really fighting."

I try to look away, but his grip on me is tight. I can feel tears forming in my eyes, but I blink them away. "I don't want to ruin your friendship again, Si."

"That's what's worrying you? Oh, baby, come here.

" He pulls me into his arms and places me down on the counter.

I automatically part my legs so he can step between them.

"What happened six years ago wasn't your fault.

We were dumb alphas who didn't realize what we had until it was taken away from us.

That's why we formed our pack. We promised each other nothing would ever come between us again. "

"Unless it's you, naked, locked on our knots," Mason adds, wiggling his brows at me. A small giggle escapes my lips.

"Listening to you come last night was so hot. I was only jealous because it wasn't me making you moan like that." Silas whispers, kissing my neck.

"I just don't know what's happening."

"What do you mean, Ness?" Mason asks, looking confused.

"Between us," I say, circling my finger. "Are we back to being friends, or am I just a Christmas fling?"

"How can you not know?" Mason asks, staring at me with wide eyes. "Have we not made our intentions clear enough?"

"Not really," I whisper. All three of them are standing in front of me, and I have to look away from their intense gazes.

"Look at me," Zayne barks and my eyes snap up to meet his stormy gray ones.

I glare at him for using an alpha command on me, but it's kind of hot, too.

Not that I would ever tell him that. He smirks at me, the bastard is a mind reader or something.

"There has never and will never be anyone but you, Vanessa.

I've been heartless for the last six years because you took it with you when you left, and it only beats for you.

This thing between us is everything, baby girl.

And when you're ready, we're sinking our teeth into you.

You're the woman of our dreams, and you being an omega is just the cherry on top of an already delicious sundae. "

I look around at the three of them, digging my nails into my thighs. I had to be losing my mind, or this was a sex dream. It has to be a sex dream. In no way is this my life. "You didn't want this, want me, six years ago. I wasn't enough."

Mason gently pries my fingers off my thighs, stroking them. "You were always enough, little one. We fucked up. Let us show you now how well we can share."

I nod slowly, not sure what I'm agreeing to.

They have one of their silent conversations before Mason and Silas step back, and Zayne drops to his knees in front of me.

He pulls down my bikini bottoms, then tugs me to the edge of the counter.

He spreads my legs and lowers his face, inhaling me.

"I need you to come all over my face." I shudder, loving his dirty mouth.

He spreads my pussy lips and slick gushes out of me. "Such a good girl, already wet for me."

His tongue slides up my slit, exploring every inch of me, and I moan in pleasure.

The things this man is doing with his tongue should be illegal.

I cry out as he flicks my clit, making me arch my back and grip the edge of the counter.

He slides two fingers inside of me, bending them to hit that perfect spot.

"Yes! Oh god, do that again," I beg, thrashing my head left and right. I catch a glimpse of the other two alphas, watching me with heat in their eyes, but instead of being worried or embarrassed, it turns me on even more.

Zayne chuckles, the vibrations adding to the pleasure as his fingers pump in and out of me. It's all too much, and I come around his fingers, moaning his name and slick covers his face.

He wipes his face on my inner thigh, kissing it softly before getting up. I pull him in for a kiss, tasting my release, and it's so fucking hot I nearly come again.

"Look at them, Ness. Do they look angry?" He asks, and I turn to face Silas and Mason, who don't look angry at all. They look hungry. "Why don't you go soak in the hot tub until dinner is ready? We can watch a movie like old times while we eat."

I nod, and he helps me put on my bottoms again before planting a kiss on my temple. If I didn't get out of there, I was going to beg all three of them to fuck me, and I knew I needed time to process everything. I hurry out like my ass is on fire.
