Chapter Thirty-Two

Delicious & Vicious

Wilder: Who else is still recovering from the shock that Bowie is mated to Kari! I mean heck, it’s always the quiet ones, right? Kari is a Daddy, mind blown.

Hollis: With all you drank last night, I’m surprised your mind is awake and alert enough to be shocked by anything. You had all the opportunities last night to ask Kari your questions, leave Bowie alone.

Wilder: Just saying, grumpy, that it’s hard to adapt to all these changes!

Ziggy: He wasn’t the only one who had a few too many cocktails, Hollis. I saw you wobbling to grab that last drink before Taylin interrupted the evening’s fun.

Monty: I thought I was the only one with two many cock-tails.

Ziggy: I like what you did there! Snigger.

Bowie: Wilder, is it too much, in a bad way, Kari being my Daddy?

Wilder: Absolutely not. I’m the wild one of the bunch. I’m just jealous of Monty with his double peen and you getting all the loving Daddy attention. So ignore me, I’m hungover and feeling sorry for myself.

Isley: I think we’re all feeling a little delicate this morning, Wilder. How many cocktails did we drink? Did I make another pitcher of margaritas?

Lennon: My head hates me, and no amount of Advil will get me to leave my bed this morning. You did Isley, and I was inspired by you, so I blame my hangover on you. Come and rub my head better.

Frey: Thankfully Booker was on Emmy duty this morning. However, he had a few too many beers last night at Ren’s and somehow conned Jupiter into getting up this morning to feed our daughter breakfast.

Wilder: Are you sure it’s Jupiter and not someone pretending to be him? This doesn’t seem like the party animal we all know and hate.

Hollis: Wilder, really?

Ziggy: Who could hate a man that sneaks in visits to Emmy through the day as often as Booker and Frey?

Wilder: He does?

Bowie: Who’s sneaking visits?

Frey: Jupiter. Sometimes I wake in the night to check on her and find her crib empty. First time it happened I nearly lost my shit. Only for Jupiter to stroll back in with her acting all casual like it was the middle of the day. Not two in the morning.

Ziggy: Man has a serious crush on Emmy, and who could blame him.

Frey: She is the most adorable baby.

Wilder: I still can’t see it. The man is a… a skank.

Bowie: Do I want to know what that is?

Hollis: No Bowie, you don’t. Wilder that’s enough.

Wilder: Alright, keep your glasses on, Hollis. Anyone up for company? Do some baking to help me get my happy back?

Lennon: Come to mine, I stocked up on my baking supplies. And then you can rub my head.

Wilder: What about you Isley?

Isley: Sorry, I got plans today.

Wilder: Doing what?

Isley: I’ll tell you on Monday. Have fun with Lennon.
