Chapter Twenty-Two Sophie #2
The training I have undergone for them has been enlightening and I can’t wait to get more done.
So far all the training I have received from them has been mental because I was pregnant.
I am not anymore, so I’m hoping to get out of here so I can start up with the physics aspect of the training.
Being raised by the president of the MC I’ve learned some things, but I feel like this will take it to a whole new level.
“Awesome, is there anything else you idiots want or was that it? Where is Tobs by the way?” I really think I am going to have to text Nyx myself so that I don’t have to fight with my husband about the brothers telling her to visit me here.
“He’s in the other room with the kids, doing some tummy time with the babies. You want us to bring you out there?” Tanner asks.
“Yeah can you bring me in there, plus I’ve got to see this cut you got my son.”
Tanner walks over and picks me up out of the bed, “You could have just gotten me a wheel chair.”
“Nah, I got you.”
“I’ve been laying in bed for months, just had babies, I am probably heavy.”
“Soph, you’re less than a buck fifty, shut the fuck up.”
We walk into the room and all my babies are there. Deck is showing off his new cut that his uncles brought him. He is so cute and so excited about it. Tanner places me on the couch next to my in-laws.
“Hey sweet girl, how are you feeling?” Annie asks me as she places her hand on mine.
“I’m feeling alright, Mama M. Just want to go home.” I smile at her.
Toby looks up from his place on the floor with the boys, “You aren’t going home until the doctor says you’re good to go. I’m not risking anything happening to you.”
I shake my head at him, I’m annoyed, I’m frustrated.
“I will heal better at home. We have Doc there, we have access to other people at the hospital. They can send someone to stay at home with me if that is what you are worried about, someone to come and help with physical therapy. I am not comfortable here. You know I hate hospitals.
Why are you trying to keep me here? You should be lucky. I want to go home considering all that has happened. I should want to find somewhere else to run away to.”
I give into my frustration forgetting about the audience. “Fuck. I’m sorry.”
“Baby, I know you want to go home. Don’t apologize for being frustrated. I get it. I’ll talk with the doctors. I will figure out care staff at home, if it is going to help you then we will go home. I think we should get in touch with our therapist and your therapist so we can schedule sessions.
We need to work on making you better and we need to work on making us better.”
I nod my head and I look over at the kids, “Hey babies. How are you guys doing? You enjoying having school with Nana?”
“Yeah mama, she’s teaching us a lot. I feel like I’m gonna be smarter than all my friends.” Daisy answers me.
“You’re already the smartest girl I know, my sweet Daisy girl.”
Declan is standing close to me and hasn’t said much and is looking over watching everything that is going on and I know my outburst worries him. “Come here baby, show me your awesome new cut. Tell me all about your time sitting in church.”
Declan sits down and begins to tell me all about the extra time he has had with the brothers and how he is so excited to be the VP in training.
Showing off his new cut and talking to me about how Toby has talked to him about getting him a new dirt bike.
He tells me all about how Cane is talking to him about when he turns 16 how he can custom make him a bike of his own.
It almost all feels normal and natural like our lives haven’t been full of crazy for the last ten months.
All the kids talk to me about what they are learning with their Nana and the tests they are taking.
Annie told me that she feels like they might even be able to graduate early with her home schooling them.
Which is amazing, they are all smart kids and I’m happy that this is not something that is impacting them in a negative way.
I wanted them to have normal childhoods, well, as normal as they can have with being a part of the club.
It seems that what we are doing now makes them happier than actually being in school.
I know Declan and Daisy are old enough to be able to communicate with their friends from school and their extra activities.
Dare, Dash and Dallas are still little, but they do have things outside of school where they can interact with kids.
I know that the club has a bunch of children as well so it is not like they will not have children around.
Delaney was never in school, but she was in daycare.
I know that Rachel runs one so we will probably have her in that.
I know that everything that has gone on makes everything a little more hectic, but I am glad to know that my babies appear to have not let anything get them down.
I know that Toby has continued their counseling remotely, so they have been talking to their child psychologists which I am so thankful for.
I know I need to get my act together as well because I am still so frustrated and angry.
I’m scared that something like this could happen again.
Toby has told me that he upped security and that Wiz has helped up security around our home, but I thought we were safe behind the walls of the compound before.
I don’t understand why someone has to try and do things like this all to try and take a legacy that was never meant for them.
This legacy is my family’s. My father built this club up from what my grandfather had it at.
He has built relationships with other clubs, mafia, law enforcement and more.
He has helped create several legal businesses to help bring this club up to one of the highest grossing clubs.
He, despite his faults and his pride that have me screaming at him in my mind, is the one that turned this club into what it is today.
We are a family, we are strong and I know in my mind that we can get through anything.
I just have to push through the pain, the anger and the frustration that are leading me to not want any part of this family that has already taken so much from me.
Despite everything that it has given me, the last year has been difficult and I don’t know how much more I can take.
I see the steps the club is taking to try to make up for everything that has happened, the steps that they are taking to try and right the wrongs, but they didn’t notice what was going on around them for years.
They did not notice that there were so many snakes in their home.
They turned a blind eye to bitches because they were good fucks, they turned a blind eye to employees because they thought they were solid and look where that has gotten us.
Look where that has gotten me. My father’s generation might have helped build this club up, but in the few short months they have shattered something inside of it.
I know my father is hurting, I know that the club is hurting from the loss of my mother, she was the heart of everything around here, but it is their fault that everything has happened.
If they would’ve paid attention, if they didn’t think with their damn dicks, if they would’ve done more research into the people they let around our family maybe just maybe my mama would still be here.
Maybe my children would not have had to deal with something so traumatic as their siblings being kidnapped and almost sold into a trafficking ring.
Maybe they wouldn’t have had to see their mama so broken and be scared that they might never see her again.
I kept my distance for months to try and protect my heart, but I think now I need to step up like my mama did.
Maybe it is my time to whip these assholes into shape and to not be blinded by stupidity.
Until Luca gets himself an ol’ lady it is my job to protect this club and the children of it.
I am going to work my ass off to get better and then I am going to be working with some women to help me learn more about how to do what needs to be done.
I will never be taken by surprise again, I will never have any of my babies in danger ever again.
I will kill anyone who tries to hurt my family even if it is someone from the inside.
Things are about to change at the Devil’s Chaos National Chapter because I am not letting anyone, not even my father, do something that could tear up this legacy.
This legacy will be handed down to my children and my siblings' children and it will be better than it was when the people passed it down to my brothers and husband.
I am going to be the matriarch that makes sure this club stands and is stronger than it was when we got here.
