TYSON

After fucking Adelaide again on the couch, then going upstairs and she deepthroated my cock in the giant shower, I’m not sure I could ever find someone like this again, and I didn’t want to. I was also exhausted as was she.

I woke up before she did and watched her breath quietly next to me. She was so fucking beautiful, the freckles on her face to her bright eyes and long red-blond lashes.

I skimmed down, she was on her back, her shirt creeping up. I itched to touch her, I didn’t want to wake her up though, so I didn’t.

My eyes drifted back up to her perky nipples. Holy fuck. I wanted to suck them into my mouth. I wanted to feel her body respond to my touch.

A small, adorable moan came from her and I smiled down at her. “Good morning creep.” She smiled softly.

“It’s not creepy to stare longingly at someone you fucked the night before.” I kissed her forehead and she curled up onto my chest, laying her leg over mine.

I wish I could say that quiet moment lasts forever, but it didn’t. Her phone started to ring, then mine. We both let the calls go. Then they both rang again. “What. The. Fuck.” She rolled over first, “Hey Laurel.”

Addy sat up abruptly and put her phone on speaker.

“Adelaide, your guest last night is on blast this morning. We need to clean this up. ASAP.” Adelaide sat with the phone in her lap and her head in her hands.

I knew she’d blame herself for this. Fucking press and reporters.

Why did they pursue her so aggressively?

I started to get screenshots from Vance, then video of people swarming the gym. Fuck me.

“Don’t worry about me. Please help Tyson clean up his reputation before you worry about me.

” She glanced at my direction with an unreadable emotion.

I didn’t know this version of her. She was cold.

It was alarming. “Laurel, can you call a press conference please. Away from Asylum….Yes…Today is fine…I’m coming in… ”

She mouthed ‘I’m sorry’ then got up. I guess our moment was over. Time for the real world again. I looked out her window and didn’t see anyone, but that didn’t mean they weren’t hiding in the bushes or on the road somewhere.

“Tyson?” Her commanding voice said from the walk in closet.

I still was laying in bed, she stood in the doorway wrapped in her robe again. “Lemon?”

“You should go. Vance is calling me now and it looks like he could use some help.” She turned and walked out. Not what I wanted. I wanted to keep lying here. Pretending like this was perfectly normal.

I heard Adelaide’s phone ring, she answered then threw her phone at me and Vance was on Facetime. “Hey bud, how was your night?”

“Fine.” More than fine. It was fucking great. And I was FUCKING pissed off that it was now ruined.

“Fine? That’s it. This trouble is not worth a ‘fine’ night.” He rolled his eyes. This trouble?

Addy leaned in the doorway, now fully dressed and looking amazing. “It was great. This morning could have been better.” I answered finally. He wouldn’t let this go.

“That’s more like it. Just get down here.”

“Working on it.” I hadn’t moved, this made Addy finally smile. I patted the spot on my chest where she had been laying. She crawled onto me so that we were both in view. Was she finally coming back to me?

“It really looks like it.” Vance grinned. “But I’m happy to see two of my favorite people.”

Ashley shrieked from behind him. “Vance!” Then I heard voices. Plural. Fuck this was bad.

“I gotta go I guess. See you soon.” He hung up without an explanation.

“So, what now?” I asked Adelaide. She seemed to have a plan and I was coming up short with any ideas other than I really wanted to just lay here with her.

“Would you like to know what they are saying?” She picked up her phone again and started to open the browser.

“I guess I’ll have to deal with that at some point.” I squeezed her to my chest and she giggled.

She started to read out the headlines. All of them smeared her name. Calling her a slut, whore, some celebrating her celebrity status to claim the heart of the burnt out MMA fighter.

Holy shit they were brutal today. “We’ll figure this out. Me, you and Vance. He’s great with people. He’ll probably be besties with all the reporters by the time I get there.” Adelaide still didn’t say anything. “Addy, what are you thinking?”

“I can’t keep doing this to you guys.” Her small voice seemed so final.

I sat back so that I could look her in the eye. “If you think this is over, you are sorely mistaken.”

“It was fun while it lasted.” In my stunned silence she got up, fixed her skirt and blouse, then threw my clothes at me. “This is where we part ways Tyson. I’ll tell Vance too.”

In my stunned silence I got dressed and walked out to my car. There were a few reporters but I think I scared them off with my glare. If she thought for one minute that this would scare Vance or I off, she was wrong.

Vance and I were a team, and we were both hooked. Being around her was intoxicating and I wouldn't be forgetting or quitting anytime soon.
