{Third person's pov}
Kiara woke up just to find him all ready for his office, She rubbed her eyes and whispered, "Am I late or are you early?"
Ekansh looked up from buckling his watch and smiled at her sleepy appearance. "Bit of both," he replied, checking the time. It was indeed earlier than usual, but he wasn't about to wake her up.
He took a step towards her, gently placing a kiss on her forehead. "You look too cute, all groggy and sleepy," he complimented, his voice soft.
"Is it necessary to go?" She asked, Ekansh paused at her question, a hint of hesitation in his expression. He knew he had an important meeting to attend, but the sight of her sleepy and adorable form was making it difficult for him to leave.
He sighed softly, his hand gently brushing a strand of hair away from her face. "I wish I could stay, but I have a very important meeting to attend. It can't be skipped."
"Hm," she nodded and snuggled into her pillow, "Get back soon."
Ekansh couldn't help but smile at her adorable snuggling. He leaned in and kissed her forehead again, his touch lingering.
"I will," he replied, his voice tinged with a hint of reluctance. "Try to get some more rest. I'll be back as soon as I can."
.........
Kiara was alone in the house, the maids left after doing the chores, as she sat in the living room scrolling through her phone she heard the door bell ring.
She walked towards the door and opened it just to witness a man standing there. He was dressed in a white shirt along with black pant and coat, she frowned as she didn't recognise him.
"I am from the income tax department, we are seizing this property." Kiara frowned further, Kiara stood in front of the person, her heart pounding in her chest. "What do you mean by seizing this property?" she asked, her voice full of disbelief.
She couldn't understand what was happening and why they were seizing Ekansh's property. She knew he was a successful businessman, but he had always been honest and transparent with his finances. She shook her head in denial. "There must be some mistake."
The man in the white shirt and black pant raised an eyebrow, his face remaining expressionless. "I'm afraid you're mistaken," he said, his voice cold and professional. "We have sufficient evidence that the owner of this property is involved in tax fraud and money laundering."
"But you can't do it, atleast send a notice first. Let me call my husband." With that she grabbed her phone and dialed his number, but he wasn't picking up.
"Don't call him Mrs. Shekhwat, our team is at his office too." The man replied.
"Look officer, I won't let you seize this house. This is a private property and it has been transferred to him by his mother. Give us time. He will prove his innocence, I know." She said.
"We will prove it, but give us time. You can't do this without notice." She added.
The officer's expression darkened at her plea, his patience visibly wearing thin. "You are not the one to make demands here," he replied coldly.
He took a step closer to her, his eyes narrowing. "Unless, of course, you're willing to offer me something in return."
The fake smirked, his gaze roaming over Kiara's body with undisguised lust. "Oh my, aren't you a feisty one," he said, his voice dripping with a sinister tone.
He took another step closer, closing the distance between them, his eyes never leaving hers. "You seem awfully protective of your husband. Maybe I should teach you a lesson."
Kiara knew what he was up to, she immediately tried to close the door but he grabbed it. Without wasting time she grabbed her phone and ran towards her room.
The fake officer followed behind her, a sinister glint in his eyes. "You think you can escape me?" he sneered, his hand reaching out to grab her arm.
She ran faster while dialing Ekansh's number, she was running towards her room like her life depends on it, and as she reached almost the end of the stairs she slipped and fell.
She let out a cry of pain as she stumbled and fell down the stairs. The officer chuckled mockingly as he rushed towards her. "Looks like karma got you." He knelt in front of her and took her chin in his hand, forcing her to look at him.
She crawled back, her back hitting the railing of the stairs, her eyes filled with tears. "What do you want?"
His gaze darkened, a sinister smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "You, my dear." He leaned in closer, his hand stroking her cheek in a sickeningly intimate gesture.
Just then her phone rang, she knew it was Ekansh she looked at him who was already looking at the phone that was a few stairs away, she immediately kicked between his legs and ran towards the phone.
She immediately picked up her phone and ran upstairs leaving him in pain, "Ekansh." She cried on the call.
Ekansh picked up the phone, a concern evident in his voice. "Kiara? What's wrong? Where are you? Why are you crying?"
"Come back home, fast. There's a man in the house, he is trying to force himself on me." She tried to explain it, her tears not stopping and just then she heard loud bang on the door.
Ekansh's heart slammed in his chest at her words. Anger and fear flooded his system, sending a surge of adrenaline through his veins. He clenched his jaw, determination to replace fear.
"Hang on, I'm coming," he replied gruffly, his voice taut with tension. "I'm on my way. Just stay safe, alright? Hide."
Kiara fearfully walked inside the wardrobe and the banging stopped for a few minutes, confused she came out of the wardrobe just to witness him in her balcony, which had a glass door, the wooden door got closed from the other side. Which was open.
She gasped, and the man broke the glass door, she shouted and ran inside the wardrobe, it had no door she immediately ran inside the washroom and was about to lock the door when he blocked it by his leg.
She pushed the door with all her power but definitely he was more powerful, he pushed open the door making her fall on the ground.
The man grinned, his face twisted in an expression of sadistic pleasure. "You're quite a handful, aren't you?" he sneered as he approached her, his footsteps slow and heavy.
She crawled back, until her back hit the cold tile of the washroom. She looked at him with fear in her eyes.
He crouched down in front of her, his gaze flickering with a cold, predatory gleam. "You're a fighter, I'll give you that." He reached out, his fingertips brushing against her cheek in a mockery of tenderness.
His hand gripped her chin, forcing her to look at him. "But let's see how much longer you can keep up this resistance," he growled, his eyes roaming over her body with a sickening hunger.
Kiara closed her eyes, waiting for Ekansh to come as soon as possible, The man's grip tightened, his hand roughly tearing at her top, the fabric ripping apart as he exposed more of her skin to his gaze. "Such a shame to ruin this pretty outfit," he taunted, his tone full of dark mockery.
She was shocked, as he leaned towards her she grabbed the jet spray and banged it on his head, he grabbed his head in pain.
She stood up and ran downstairs, without looking back she ran out of the mansion and in the garden as she was running she glanced looking at the entrance, but the man was still inside and suddenly she turned and collided in Ekansh.
She looked at him and broke in tears. Ekansh wrapped his arms around her tightly, the relief apparent in his tight grip as he held her close to him. "I'm here," he whispered, his voice filled with a mix of concern and reassurance.
He pulled back, his gaze scanning her disheveled appearance, the torn top revealing glimpses of her delicate skin. Anger flashed in his eyes as he surveyed the scene before him, recognizing the signs of distress and violence.
Ekansh gently guided Kiara into the house covering her with his coat, but his attention remained fixed on the situation at hand. He whispered softly to her, "Stay here." With a firm nod, he moved towards the house, his footsteps heavy with purpose and protectiveness.
