She broke the hug and looked at him, she tip toed and captured his lips in hers, gently kissing him.

He responded instantly, his hands moving to cup her face, his touch tender. He kissed her back, the touch of her lips against his igniting a familiar fire within him. But he held back, knowing this wasn't the time for passion.

She broke the kiss and hugged him. "Let's go home." He wrapped his arms around her, enveloping her in a tight embrace. "Are you sure, love?" he asked softly, his chin resting on the top of her head.

She nodded against his chest. He held her for a moment longer, his fingers gently stroking her hair. He finally broke the hug and looked down at her, his eyes filled with a mix of concern and love.

"Alright," he murmured. "We'll go home if that's what you want."

Ekansh parked his car in the lawn and Kiara stepped out, she walked inside with him following inside. As soon as she entered the house Rookie came running towards her, she immediately knelt down and patted his head.

Once Rookie walked towards Ekansh she got up, and walked upstairs, her legs stopped at the particular stair she slipped from. She took a deep breath and walked further upside.

She was walking towards her room when her legs stopped in front of the room they got decorated for their upcoming baby, she opened the door.

She stared at the interior her eyes tearing up. Ekansh had followed her and stood watching her from a little distance. He could see her struggling to hold back her tears as she looked into the room, the pain in her eyes stabbing his heart again and again.

He stepped towards her, his arms wrapping around her from behind. He leaned down, his lips brushing against her ear. "Let's go to our room, love?" he asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

She nodded and walked towards their bedroom, as they walked inside the room she immediately hugged him.

He held her close, his arms encircling her in a protective embrace. He buried his face in her hair, breathing in the familiar scent of her, his heart heavy with love and concern.

They stood there for a moment, silent but close, their bodies pressed together, their hearts beating in unison. He gently kissed the top of her head, his fingers running through her hair.

"The destiny is cruel." She whispered, thinking how she lost her upcoming baby. "Very cruel," he replied, thinking about his mother and his upcoming baby.

He knew she was right. Life had a cruel way of playing out sometimes, taking away things you held dear without warning. He was all too familiar with that kind of pain, having lost his own unborn child once before.

He held her tighter, his hand running soothing circles on her back. "but we have each other," he murmured, his lips brushing against her temple.

.........

Two months passed, things were back to normal. She continued going to her makeup studio and he was focusing on his upcoming projects.

She came home early, she decided to make something for him, ofcourse it was the Valentine's day. And she knew he must have forgotten that.

She immediately took off the groceries she bought and decided to bake his favourite cake.

Once she was done with cooking she walked inside her room, she has planned more surprises for him.

Once she was ready the door bell rang, she peaked from the balcony just to witness his car in the lawn. Indicating he was home.

She immediately ran downstairs and opened the door, her eyes widened in shock as she saw two packets in his hands, and another holding, a huge, very huge bouquet of Roses.

"Happy Valentine's day, Wifey." She smiled widely. "you remembered?" She asked taking the bouquet from his hands. And just then his eyes landed on her outfit, it was a deep red coloured silk night gown, that hugged her curves perfectly.

His breath caught in his throat as he saw her, his gaze roaming over her figure. She looked exquisite in the red silk gown, the material clinging to her curves, accentuating every contour of her body.

He swallowed hard, his hands clenching the handles of the packets he was holding. "Of course I remembered..." he replied, his voice thick with desire.

"I baked a cake for you," she smiled and dragged him inside, towards the kitchen where the cake was placed at the slab.

He followed her inside, trying not to stare too obviously at her curves swaying beneath the silk gown. When they reached the kitchen and she turned around to show him the cake, he finally allowed himself a moment to appreciate the view fully before looking at the cake she had baked for him.

"Taste it," she took a spoon and forwarded it towards him, He opened his mouth, letting her feed him the cake. He hummed softly, "Mmm, this is really good."

He watched as she took another spoonful for herself. His eyes dropped to her neck, watching the muscles work as she swallowed. He realized that even eating was hot on her.

Without thinking, he reached out and pulled her by the waist, making her turn towards him. His eyes locked onto her red lips stained with a bit of chocolate from the cake.

He leaned in, his intention clear as he whispered, "I think I need another taste, but this time on my own cake."

She smiled and bit her lips, she decided to tease him, as he leaned further she turned her face, avoiding his lips.

He groaned internally at her playful avoidance, his grip on her waist tightening slightly. He chased her lips with his own, a smirk playing on his lips.

"Playing hard to get, Mrs. Shekhawat?" he murmured against her neck, placing a quick kiss there.

"Mhm," she nodded and again turned her face as he tried to lean in. He chuckled, finding her playful side irresistible. He lifted her suddenly, making her yelp and wrap her legs around his waist instinctively.

He realized that she was making this impossible to kiss her properly. "Baby," he muttered softly, trying to capture her lips again.

Before she could turn her face he grabbed her jaw and joined their lips into a soft yet deep kiss.

The moment his lips touched hers, he felt a spark ignite within him. He kissed her deeply, his tongue seeking entrance into her mouth. He held her jaw firmly, not letting her escape this time. When he finally pulled back, they were both breathing heavily.

She hugged him, as he placed her on the counter of the kitchen. Her face hidden in the crock of his neck.

He tightened his arms around her waist, his chin resting on top of her head. He realized that she was much shorter than him even when sitting on the counter. He smirked softly, "I love you,"

"I love you more, Mr. Shekhawat." She replied, and kissed his neck making shivers run down his spine.
