F inn ended the call on his phone. He braced his hands on the counter inside his apartment. The house hadn’t been on the market long.
They had an offer.
Correction.
Pa had an offer. For more than the listing price. Rare for Evers Hollow. Houses like theirs didn’t sell well, especially with the new subdivisions going in. Pa’s was too outdated, with too many updates needed.
It had to the affordable housing shortage in the area. The local construction companies couldn’t keep up.
The offer came from a couple expecting their first child. Willing to pay extra for a speedy closing. Three weeks.
He’d drive to Wylder. Tell Pa in person. He knew what he would say.
