Chapter Thirty-nine #2

His tongue brushed mine as my fingers fumbled with the buttons of his shirt, unwilling to sacrifice the kiss for the sake of coordination.

Hell, I’d yank them off if I needed to. It might be the only shirt he owned, but that was his problem.

When one button came free, I moaned my triumph into his mouth.

So much better than Warren, my subconscious purred.

Yeah, it was. There was no point in denying it anymore. Warren felt like a teenage infatuation compared to the primal feelings Nico stirred in me.

Another button. My hand slipped inside his shirt. Warm skin. A light dusting of hair. His heartbeat thudded steadily beneath my palm, somehow making me want him even more.

Another button surrendered itself.

Nico tugged my T-shirt over my head. His lips wandered over my neck, my jaw, my ear, leaving a fiery trail wherever they touched. His thumb traced the damaged skin above my collarbone. “This pisses me off,” he murmured.

Desire loosened its grip just long enough for me to answer. “What?”

“The tattoo.” He looked genuinely annoyed. “They had no right to remove it.”

“Why did they?”

“Because nobody would’ve dared buy you with my mark on you.”

It made a twisted sort of sense. At least, as much sense as anything in Wonderland ever did. “It pisses me off too.”

A reluctant smile tugged at the corner of Nico’s mouth. I seized the opportunity to deal with the rest of the buttons, tugging Nico’s shirt free from his trousers. My hands explored first, my mouth following.

When I reached his waistband and started to sink to my knees, intent on getting my mouth around the bulge straining behind his zipper, Nico stopped me. “How long do you think this crossing is?” He didn’t wait for an answer. “Turn around.”

I followed the instruction without hesitation, turning to face the wall.

I dealt with the zipper and button on my jeans, leaving Nico to pull them down to mid-thigh.

The sound of his own zipper followed, and then he was pressed against me, bare chest to bare back, the heated length of his stiff cock sliding over my arse cheek.

The crinkle of a packet had me frowning. “Please don’t tell me you left Wonderland without a single item to your name, but that you somehow have lube?”

“It was in my wallet. Would you rather I pretend I don’t have any?”

It was a rhetorical question, a slight squelching sound already giving away its application to Nico’s cock.

“It’s just—”

Whatever point I’d been about to make vanished as Nico lined himself up and breached me.

Even this was different. Nico had never been a poor lover. Not even when I’d been blindfolded or in the pitchblack, could I have accused him of that. But he’d never taken this much care before.

I hated him for it. It was achingly slow.

“Please,” I begged when only half his cock was inside me after what felt like an eternity.

Nico scraped his teeth over my neck before soothing the sensitive skin with his tongue. “Please, what?”

“Fuck me.”

“I am fucking you.”

“You know what I mean.”

Another inch.

I tried to push back against him, but he wasn’t having it. One hand held my hips firmly in place while he continued his assault on my neck.

“Patience.”

I wasn’t even sure I remembered what the word meant, my cock already leaking pre-cum. “If you don’t fuck me, I’m going to...”

“You’re going to what?”

The amusement in his voice wasn’t helping.

“I don’t know,” I admitted, “but you won’t like it.”

He answered with another slow kiss against my neck. “I need details.”

“You need to fuck me.”

He withdrew until he was almost out before easing back in, drawing a sigh of contentment from somewhere deep inside me.

“Tell me how much you need this, Lysander.”

I couldn’t remember him ever using my name before. For some reason, that mattered more than the sex. Like he was really seeing me for the first time.

“I need it.”

“How much?”

“A lot.” I finally cottoned on that the more I said, the faster his hips moved. “Yes, Nico. Fuck me. Make me come. Fill me. Own me.”

That earned a quiet laugh, the sound vibrating against my neck. “I do own you, remember. I paid good money for you. A lot of money.”

“Yes,” I agreed, prepared to say anything if it got him to stop being so damn gentle and give me the pounding I needed. “You own me, so take me.”

“Stroke yourself,” he ordered.

I slid a hand between my body and the wall. There was enough pre-cum that I didn’t need to spit into my palm.

Nico finally gave me what I’d been craving, driving me up onto my toes. He turned my head, capturing my mouth in a kiss, his tongue delving deep to find mine.

The orgasm built quickly after that. I had to tear my mouth from his to groan as I painted the tiled wall with my cum.

A couple of minutes later, Nico buried himself deep and came, his teeth fastening on my neck in what felt unmistakably like a bite of possession.

I closed my eyes, luxuriating in the feeling of complete satiation.

There was no Wonderland anymore.

No boat either.

Just this.

Nico seemed to feel the same. He remained where he was, the two of us still locked together.

After a moment he shifted, his nose brushing my neck, and I smiled.

What was it going to be like, having someone as mercurial as Nico by my side? Would my friends like him? Would my parents? I had a feeling they wouldn’t have liked Warren, which made me think I’d always known there was something slightly hokey about him. I just hadn’t wanted to look too closely.

I made a small sound of contentment, regretting it when it pulled Nico from his reverie and he eased out of my body. By the time I’d peeled myself away from the wall, he already held out a damp paper towel.

“Not going to do it for me?” I teased.

“No.”

I laughed under my breath and took it, doing the best job I could of cleaning myself up. Nico was, understandably, much quicker. His shirt was already buttoned by the time I’d finished fastening the zipper of my jeans.

He retrieved my T-shirt from the floor and handed it to me. “We’ll be transferring to the dinghy soon.”

I pulled my T-shirt over my head. “Do you foresee any problems?”

“No.” He smoothed an imaginary crease from his sleeve. “Any problems would have already occurred.”

I took comfort in his words. I was going home. Maybe not as the same Lysander who’d arrived in Wonderland, but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. Only time would tell. And at least I wouldn’t be facing whatever came next alone.
