Chapter 28

ONE YEAR LATER

Loco.

“Are you nervous, baby?”

I glanced at my wife and smirked. “Yeah, I told you to give me some head to calm my nerves.”

She nudged me and laughed. “Shut up.”

I was eager as fuck to get married after I proposed, so she started planning our wedding right away with my mama, Porcia, Kabria, and a planner.

She didn’t want one at first, but I didn’t want her stressing about the shit.

I wanted it to be smooth sailing for her.

Especially since I’d read that stress could fuck with us having a baby.

I was ready to get started on my six right a fucking way.

My mama had finally talked me, P, and Jay into speaking to the kids at the three new skill centers she’d been able to open. There was one in Miller’s Pointe, one at home in Crescent Falls, and one in Atlyn City which was the first to open.

At first, I wasn’t feeling it because I didn’t think that I’d be good with kids and shit. I only had a little experience from dealing with my homeboy’s kids, but now that I kicked it with Baby Lord on a regular and wanted my own, I figured I’d be good.

“Are we going out tonight?”

“It’s my brother’s concert, of course we are, but don’t wear them high ass heels,” I said and she rolled her eyes. “I don’t give a fuck about you doing all of that, Lord. You heard what I said.”

“I’m pregnant, not handicapped, Makhai.”

“Yeah, with twins, Diamond. You can’t be doing all that extra shit.”

“One baby is no different from two, but I forgot you were pregnant before and know from experience.”

“Naw, smart ass, but my sister was, and she wasn’t wearing heels.”

“I’m Diamond.”

“Well, Diamond, wear sneakers or some of them expensive ass slides I don’ bought yo’ ass.” I laughed while pulling her into my arms. “I want you to be comfortable and my sons to be safe.”

She smiled as she looked up at me, circling her arms around my neck.

“You got lucky and got boys.”

“Blessed,” I grinned, “because I knocked two off our list right away. Daddy got super sperm.”

“Whatever,” she beamed. “I wish I could come with you.”

“I know you gon’ be watching the shit. You stay stalking a nigga.”

“I do not!” she squealed while laughing. “I just love you and I’m proud of you. You’re giving our sons someone to look up to.”

“Our sons gon’ be some gangsta’s.”

“With you as their father, I don’t doubt that sadly,” she giggled.

“Ain’t shit sad about that,” I chuckled. “They gon’ be upstanding citizens that don’t let nobody play with them.”

“I know,” she smiled. “You need to go though,” she released me and shooed me. “Don’t be late, and don’t curse, Makhai. Also, those children are not niggas or Lords.”

“Girl, aight,” I laughed, “but if it slips out then it just does.”

“I’m going to be watching and if you call them either of the two, you’re going to be on pussy restriction.”

“Imagine you not hopping on the dick on the wake up,” I smirked, “it’s your routine.”

“I have toys to get me by.”

My smile slowly faded. “Don’t play with me, Diamond. You better not have no fuckin’ toys in here. That’s cheatin’.”

“That is not cheating!” she laughed. “But I’m just playing, so go.”

“I am, but come here,” I reached to pull her back into me, making sure to grip her ass roughly. “I love you.”

She lifted and pressed her lips into mine. “I love you more.”

After kissing her a few more times, I released her and left.

On the way to the center, I stopped by the store to get me some snacks and shit to feed the weed that I’d smoked.

Diamond was mad as fuck about me getting high before dealing with the kids, but I needed something to mellow me out.

I ended up getting my shit plus a few big ass variety bags to give the kids at the center too.

My baby would be happy to know that I’d looked out.

When I reached the Skill Center, my niggas were already there and some of the kids had made it and started surrounding them too. I approached with the candy in my hand, dapping them both up, then allowing the kids to get what they wanted from the bags of candy.

We still had a good thirty minutes to spare, so the three of us went to the gym where the boys grabbed some balls from the rack and started shooting around while we waited for everyone else to arrive.

“It’s crazy seeing you two here,” Jabari said. “I’m proud of y’all. I hope you know that.”

“Man, don’t start that, Lord,” I laughed.

“Dead ass, bro. A year ago you wasn’t even thinkin’ about mentorin’ nobody, Lord, but look. You here, you married, you have two kids on the way. You’re growin’.”

“I got too much to lose,” I admitted. “I love that woman and them lil’ boys already and I ain’t even met ‘em yet.” I shook my head.

“Be like that, Lord,” Prynce chuckled, “but growth looks good on you.”

While we talked a big ass commotion broke out with the kids.

We looked in their direction and noticed Breeze was walking in with that hoe ass dancing nigga Tristan.

I smirked thinking that I’d hit the jackpot.

I still thought about what I was gon’ do when I saw his ass but never got around to it because I was busy getting engaged, then married and putting babies in my wife, but a nigga hadn’t forgot.

When they put this shit together for us to see the kids, they invited some of the local celebrities too, which was perfect because he was just who I wanted to see.

We waited in our spots until Breeze noticed us.

He walked over with his lil’ flunky in tow, dapping each of us up.

When Tristan got in front of me and extended his hand, I looked at it then him, before crashing my fist into his face, instantly putting him to sleep.

I was grateful as fuck that the kids couldn’t have their phones on them and the director and my mother were busying themselves somewhere else in the center, because I knew without a doubt my mama would have been pissed.

“Loc. Got damn, Lord,” Jabari frowned.

“Nigga shouldn’t have popped up at my girl’s crib.” I shrugged then looked at the kids who’d all gathered around. “This my first lesson of the day for y’all young niggas. It ain’t no expiration date on disrespect.”

Prynce chuckled and dapped me up then Jabari followed despite him still frowning as if he was pops.

“You still got a long way to go, Lord.”

I smirked. “I said I was growing, not grown.”

The End!!!
