Chapter 15 #2

“You really are the weirdest thirty-year-old I’ve ever met,” Audrey said.

Brianna stood and walked over to Audrey, lightly pushing her on the arm. “That’s so mean. I’m normal.”

“I didn’t mean it as a bad thing,” Audrey clarified. “I meant you’re unique. I like that about you.”

Brianna placed her hand on Audrey’s arm and kept it there. “What else do you like about me?”

Audrey resisted the urge to smile. She hadn’t seen Brianna’s flirting in action much, but when she decided to get all needy like this, Audrey could hardly resist. She grabbed Brianna’s hand, turning slightly in her chair so she could face the woman properly.

“Lots of things. Do you want a list?”

Ever so slowly, Audrey raised Brianna’s hand to her lips.

Brianna nodded, already pink in the cheeks.

She’s so adorable.

“How about how smart you are?” Audrey asked.

She tugged Brianna’s hand, urging the woman closer, and Brianna complied, now standing in between Audrey’s legs as she sat on the high bar chair.

They were at the perfect height and distance for kissing, and it took Audrey considerable effort not to lean in already.

“Lots of people are smart,” Brianna deflected.

Audrey shook her head. “Trust me, that’s definitely not true.”

Audrey let go of Brianna’s hand and put her hands on Brianna’s waist instead, trying very hard not to reach under her shirt to feel the skin there.

She tentatively did so with her right hand, trying very hard to focus on a witty thing she should say next instead of how right her hands felt on Brianna.

“Anything else?” Brianna asked, but her question was quiet, and Audrey hoped it meant she was as affected by Audrey’s touch as she was.

Audrey had a multitude of things she wanted to say, but she decided to keep it simple. “How about how right you feel in my arms?”

“Alright. I’ve waited long enough to do this.” Brianna smiled and took off her glasses, setting them on the kitchen island.

Audrey only had a few seconds to raise an eyebrow before Brianna’s lips were on hers, kissing her in a way that had Audrey weak at the knees.

It didn’t take Audrey long to continue her touch over Brianna’s bare skin, and she had to fight the urge to roam further.

It was hard to focus on keeping things light when Brianna kissed her like that, and even more so when Brianna moaned softly against her mouth.

Audrey reluctantly pulled away, her eyes searching Brianna’s. “Should we move this conversation somewhere else?”

Brianna nodded and stepped away from Audrey, holding out a hand.

Not wanting to say anything that may ruin the moment, Audrey silently grabbed her hand and followed her to the living room.

Now standing near the couch, Brianna gently guided Audrey to sit down while the librarian sat on the floor in front of her, in between her legs.

“Oh,” Audrey said, speechless as Brianna leaned up to kiss her neck. Brianna continued her soft kisses along Audrey’s neck, slowly moving down to her clavicle. As she did, her hand reached towards Audrey’s pants, where she tugged on the hem.

“Let me show you how thankful I am?”

“Absolutely,” Audrey said.

She shifted her hips up as Brianna helped shimmy her pants off, tugging her closer to the end of the couch.

Audrey would normally be self-conscious about exposing herself to Brianna like this for the first time, but she had dreamed about this moment for so long, all she could think was yes, yes, yes.

Brianna spread Audrey’s legs further and kissed the inside of her left thigh.

Audrey tried not to seem too eager, but she couldn’t stop the shiver that spread through her at the thought of what would be happening next.

She wasn’t sure what Brianna’s style was, and though she was normally more talkative in intimate moments, she didn’t want anything to distract her from taking in the sight of Brianna Robinson in between her legs.

When Brianna finally pressed her lips to Audrey’s most sensitive parts, it didn’t take long for Audrey to abandon all plans of being silent.

“So good,” she moaned.

Brianna rewarded her with an extra pinch of her clit, so Audrey continued, praising every movement.

She wanted to savour the moment and not come quickly like an overeager fool, but it was pointless to resist, and it didn’t take long for Audrey to shamelessly moan as she came against Brianna’s mouth and hand.

“Do you feel properly thanked?” Brianna asked when she leaned away from Audrey, wiping at her mouth slightly.

“Not until I get to taste you,” Audrey said, meaning every word. It was a bit awkward, but she leaned forward to kiss Brianna eagerly.

Brianna broke the kiss after a minute, standing and forcing Audrey to look up at her.

“I don’t know…” She trailed off and walked away towards the kitchen.

“Why not?” Audrey stood quickly to follow her, forgetting that she was technically pants-less.

She lifted her pants up hastily when she realized, and by the time she had them on, Brianna was in the kitchen, drinking a glass of water.

She had her glasses back on, and Audrey wasn’t sure what that meant.

Audrey tentatively hugged her from behind, trying to keep the touches light.

“Sorry if I pushed you too hard. I just…I really like you. I don’t know how to control myself around you, but I will.”

Brianna giggled and set down her glass, turning in Audrey’s arms. She kissed the other woman lightly.

“It’s not that,” Brianna said. “I think I’m just nervous.

So many things are changing, and I didn’t want to rush into a new relationship when so many other things in my life are new.

Not that I expected to even find someone to be in a relationship with, but…

you know what I mean. This is all new, and I don’t know how to feel about it. But I do know I really like you too.”

“At least we have that in common,” Audrey replied.

“Just one of many things.” Brianna was smiling again, and Audrey was happy to see it.

“Whatever you want to do or don’t want to do is fine with me. I’m just happy to be around you, I promise,” she said.

“I know,” the librarian replied.

“Good. Now, do you want to tell me about the authors you want to invite to your event?”

“Nothing would make me happier,” Brianna said, and Audrey could tell by the twinkle in her eye that she really meant it.

“Whatever you say, gorgeous.”
