Chapter 91 #2
I simply throw myself at my men. As I slam my mouth against Connor’s, he catches me and wraps my legs around his waist. Behind me, I feel Theo and Atlas hugging.
I feel their boundless joy radiating between them, and the next moment, I’m dragged into a kiss with my other Alpha.
Atlas leaves me breathless before turning to kiss Connor without hesitation.
Theo does the same, stealing our wonderful Alpha’s lips.
“I don’t care if this is for the entire world to see, you’re both mine.” Theo turns to press a long, deep kiss against my mouth.
Atlas wipes my tears. “We did it, baby.”
“I love you. I’m so proud of you.” I can’t stop feathering kisses over Connor’s damp skin. Even though they’re drenched with sweat and covered in dirt, I just want to be smothered between them.
“Wait… I have something… for you both….” I wriggle until Connor sets me on my feet.
Quickly rummaging in the bag slung across my body, I hold out the string of shiny foiled sweets for Atlas.
“For you… a lei… ula lole.” I smile through the happiest of tears.
“I wasn’t sure when to give you this, or whether I would even have a chance to do it in public, but since you just went and made it official. ”
I gesture for him to duck his head so that I can loop it over his neck. I then hand over one each to Connor and Theo, and they each put their strands around Atlas’s neck, smiling so wide, they all look the most handsome I’ve ever seen them.
Atlas blinks at me rapidly. “How did you know to make these? They’re perfect. I love them… just like I love you.”
A shy grin takes over. “I might have had some help.”
Nibbling on my bottom lip, I turn and gesture at the phone currently being held up in Nikita’s hands, the moment we had talked about and pre-planned before the game. She pans around the pitch, showing the way the team are bouncing and cheering and grabbing each other for hugs and photos.
When she gets to the spot where we all stand, a beaming face fills the screen, with brilliant sunshine and blue sky in the background.
“Dad?” Tears start rolling freely down Atlas’s cheekbones, and he sniffs. “Oh, well, fuck. Aren’t you sneaky, peaches?” He drags me against his chest and kisses the top of my head.
“Atlas. My boy, you make us so proud every day. You damn well nearly made my heart weaker in the space of eighty minutes, but we are all celebrating you.” His father waves at someone in the background, and there is a raucous sound of cheering from the people surrounding him, music playing loudly through some speakers.
They exchange words rapidly in Samoan, all while Atlas tightens his grip on me and nods. It’s quickly followed by his dad telling him to go be in the moment. They start to say goodbye with promises to talk properly tomorrow.
“I’m so happy to see your face. We miss you. Make sure you bring that pack of yours to Savai’i. You all deserve a nice, long vacation to the islands, you hear?”
“Fa’afetai… okay. Alofa tele atu.”
“You give my alofa to your pack, too.”
The call ends, and both Nikita and Gabbie give everyone quick hugs and their own turn for congratulations.
But these Omegas have perfected the art of dancing to their own beat. They’re there one moment and gone the next. I turn around to see both Coach and my brother circling back our way.
The girls might have spontaneously disappeared, but I’m too swept up in all the celebrations and cheering going on around us.
Connor grabs me and Atlas. His eyes glimmer under the stadium lights.
“I’ve never been able to give you what our girl can, Ace, because I’m always out here with your ass on the field.
But you gotta know it makes my heart grow about five hundred goddamn sizes bigger knowing our girl can give you the support you deserve, even if I can’t.
I’d rather have her turn up to every single game we ever play wearing your number, because at least that way one of us can. ”
He shakes his head with a laugh. “Until the World Cup, right? How about then?”
Connor lunges for him. “Damn straight, princess. She’ll be in my jersey, and only mine.”
“We’ll see, big guy.”
“Hey…” I grin. “Do I get a say in this?”
“No,” they both growl.
“We’re not being very careful about this pack secrecy thing.” I chew on the inside of my cheek. Fully aware that we’ve all kissed, hugged, and basically smothered each other with affection right out in the middle of the rugby pitch in front of cameras and a stadium full of fans.
Theo tucks a strand of hair behind my ear.
“You’re ours, sweetheart. Nothing is going to get in the way of taking care of you.
Not now. Not ever. Your scholarship has a certain GM on their speed dial, for reasons I can’t disclose.
All I will say is that if they see the name Braun calling, they will be extremely amenable to any request he might have. ”
Connor grins. “Besides. You’ve got a job here with this team, remember?”
“Did any of you have something to do with that?” I look between them.
Theo shakes his head. “Honestly, I don’t know whether to be relieved or upset. I wanted to give you a position on the team, ideally working with me, but my goddamn GM beat me to it.”
That makes my smile split wide. “You were gonna ask me to work with you?”
“Bambi, we are all about half a second away from asking you to marry us.” Connor teases. “A job with the Wolves is basically part of that deal, don’t you know.”
“Wren Murphy, will you do me the honor of joining this pack? We come complete with forty men who will absolutely be impossible to wrangle for marketing purposes, and three Alphas who will be beyond obsessed with having you nearby every day.” Theo snakes an arm around my spine and kisses me until my heart is ready to flutter into the night sky.
“Yes. A million times, yes. Smother me with so much attention that I can’t breathe.” I cling to the back of his neck.
“Then that settles it.” Atlas takes my left hand and rubs the spot on my ring finger. “All we need is to find something beautiful to sit right here.” His lips quirk with the most achingly captivating smile.
“Forever.” I go up onto my tiptoes to place a kiss on his lips.
“Okay, I officially still need a whole lot more time to get used to whatever this is,” My brother’s voice cuts in. When I turn and give Finch an eye roll, he stops in his tracks before taking a look around. “Your friends didn’t come to the game?” He frowns, nostrils flaring ever so slightly.
“Oh, no, they’re definitely somewhere close by.
..” I spin to look for them in the sea of rugby players.
“They were right here a moment ago, I swear, they’ll just be two Omegas having a ball while lost in the crowd.
Nikita is probably hunting your teammates like they’d be a trophy to add to her collection as we speak.
” I laugh and give his shoulder a shove.
It takes him a long second of scanning the pitch before he seems to give up looking for whatever it is he’s searching for, squirts some water into his mouth, and shakes off the cloud forming over his expression.
He gives my Alphas a look. “You be good to her.”
“The best.” Connor nods.
“Always.” Atlas nods.
We glance at Theo, who gives us all a thoughtful look, takes in the celebrations surrounding us, and then turns back to hit us with one of his impossibly gorgeous smiles. “Well… it looks like we’re doing press as a pack tonight.”
