Chapter Fourteen

Dustin

Harvest Moon Wolf

Dustin was so enraptured with his new mate and lost in the pleasure of his dick being buried to the base in a hot, welcoming hole that he almost missed the obvious signs of Notalus’ submission.

Dustin reared up and drove both hands into Notalus’ thick mane and kissed him while he fucked him until he was limp and begging for his come.

“My alpha, I want your seed to fill me up,” Notalus slurred as if he was drunk, his head slouching to the left, his vein throbbing in his neck as if beckoning for Dustin’s bite.

In one swift move and with strength he didn’t know he possessed, Dustin caught Notalus around his waist and flipped him over onto his stomach.

With one hand clutching his waist and the other holding the back of Notalus’ neck, Dustin drove his cock back inside and dominated his titan in a way that satisfied him and his animal.

His wolf howled for Dustin to claim their mate, that he’d waited long enough.

Notalus’ chest was flat on the bed, his legs spread wide and his body completely docile.

Dustin glided a rough palm down Notalus’ thigh. “Open wider,” he commanded. And to his wolf’s absolute delight, Notalus obeyed.

Dustin’s heart soared, and his wolf clamored to the surface at Notalus’ full submission. It appeared second nature to his titan as he shoved his curvy ass higher, his head limp and craned to the side. Dustin’s canines lowered, and his hips sped up at the approach of his orgasm.

Notalus groaned, “Alpha,” as he seemed to struggle to get to his hands and knees under Dustin’s persistent thrusts.

Dustin’s wolf was more powerful and dominating than he’d ever felt him before as he yanked Notalus to his knees, his back pressed firmly against Dustin’s chest. His mate was practically lifeless in his arms, his head resting on Dustin’s shoulder.

His orgasm slammed into him as he cried out against the back of Notalus’ head, digging his nails into his waist and gripping him tight to him.

Notalus’ body was so pliant that he allowed himself to be handled as if he was only semi-conscious.

Dustin thrust in one last time as Notalus moaned and called out for him with his soul to claim him.

And that’s exactly what Dustin did.

He pulled Notalus’ curtain of hair to the side as his head fell to the other.

Dustin jerked violently at the first jolt of his ease deep inside Notalus’ channel.

His wolf charged to the forefront, making his vision grow keener, his senses sharper as his canines dropped to his bottom lip before he sank them into the crease of Notalus’ neck and shoulder.

His mate clenched tightly around him, coming with the shout, Dustin’s name heavy on his lips as he repeated for him to claim him.

Dustin sank his cock and teeth in deeper, making Notalus’ dick erupt untouched.

He swallowed his mate’s rich blood, the warm liquid gliding down his throat like nectar.

Dustin closed his eyes, feeling their link solidifying almost instantly.

“Mate.” Dustin gently laid Notalus down as he tested their new connection.

Notalus sucked in a surprised breath. “Dustin?”

“Yes,” he murmured, curling himself around him.

“What is this?” Notalus’ voice was just as deep and comforting when he spoke directly to his mind.

“When you mate with a shifter, you’ll have the ability to communicate with me in my animal form.” Dustin squeezed Notalus and kissed him over his mark, making him shudder in his arms.

Dustin had longed for that kind of intimate link with a mate for as long as he could remember. And now he had it… with a man he loved. “Mmmm,” he hummed at the thought, sending warmth and gratitude through their souls.

“I can feel you… and him,” Notalus whispered. “My gods, it feels good. Your beast is peaceful and full of nature. But also extremely strong.”

“And he’s all yours,” Dustin promised.

Notalus faced him, his eyes hooded and his face flushed. “And I am his,” he confessed back, touching Dustin’s cheek as he gazed reverently into his eyes.

Iulien sent their meals to Notalus’ residence instead of the dining room for two full days while they consummated the hell out of their union.

On the third morning, Dustin was sitting at the small table in the receiving room, devouring a hearty breakfast of brisket, scrambled eggs, and about ten more sides, after he’d devoured his mate once again.

Dustin had a lot of years of abstinence and loneliness to make up for.

Notalus emerged from his bathroom after a long, steaming bath just as Iulien and his chamber attendants were coming in with his wardrobe of the day.

Dustin stopped eating. “Are you leaving? Does duty call?”

“No, handsome. I have an heir that handles those duties. I’m dressing because today marks the beginning of our festival for giving and thanks.

There will be feasts and gatherings all over.

I’m ready to show off my consort to the realm.

And from what I’ve heard from the other lords, everyone is eagerly anticipating seeing the alpha again. ”

Emotion tightened Dustin’s throat at Notalus’ words. He watched as five men and two women dressed Notalus in his royal garments while he tried to keep his dick from thickening under his thin robe.

“And then after our little stroll through the main square, I have something special for you, my moon-god.” Notalus winked while the servants blushed at their affection.

Dustin’s neck warmed. “Will you stop calling me that, please? I prefer Dustin, or if you must, I’ll even settle for Dusty.”

“But you are a descendant of the goddess Consus, Moon Tribe. A child of the grain, the alpha of the harvest moon.” Notalus held his head high while Iulien straightened the neck of his olive-green tunic. “That’s why you felt its pull the moment you landed here and probably still do. Yes?”

Dustin nodded because he couldn’t deny that. He’d wanted to stay in his animal form and run through the realm, exploring and rejoicing in the ethereal world until he was exhausted. “Alright,” he relented. “I’ll get dressed.”

Dustin refused Iulien’s persistence to help him dress again, wondering what that guy’s deal was.

Dustin shook his head at the weird look of rejection on Iulien’s face.

He had prominent features and porcelain skin, but his radiance and mood seemed to practically fade and sag before Dustin’s eyes.

He’s so weird. Dustin was out the door and almost to his designated rooms when he heard Notalus’ strong presence in his chest, his rich voice in his mind.

“Iulien and most of his staff are Galins, Dustin. It’s in their nature to provide—they need to serve in order to survive. The same way you feel the pull of the moon and need to shift, serving is the same craving for a Galin. If their charges are in need of attending, it’s torturous to deny them.”

“Shit, Notalus,” Dustin grumbled, spinning around before he reached his room. “I didn’t know what his species was. I would never intentionally upset anyone in your home. Everyone has been so kind.”

Dustin popped his head back into Notalus’ room to see a dejected Iulien still with his head bowed. “Um, Iulien, will you come help me in my room, please? There are so many closets and chests of drawers that I have no clue where to look for a pair of socks.”

Iulien perked right up at those words as if he had a switch that turned his good mood off and on. “Of course, my lord.” Iulien held his nose toward the ceiling as he preceded Dustin to his room like he’d just paid him the ultimate compliment.

As the courtier finished assisting Dustin with dressing—which he admitted went a lot faster than when he’d done it alone—he met Notalus in the foyer, which looked more like an indoor park than a formal area of a palace.

The first thing Dustin noticed was Notalus’ hair was styled differently.

Dustin was used to it being swept back and flowing over his shoulders, but today, someone had gathered it into a ponytail at the base of his neck and woven the tresses into a thick braid down to his waist.

His mate was conversing with two of his guards, who quickly retreated at Dustin’s approach.

Notalus turned to face him, his eyes coming alight as his gaze traveled from Dustin’s short, cropped hair to his boots, a serene smile gracing his regally gorgeous face as he melted into Dustin’s embrace.

They kissed and held each other as if they’d been apart for days when it had only been an hour.

Their mate bond was strong and stable, the craving to be with each other too intense to ignore.

“You look amazing,” Dustin moaned, flooding their connection with how turned on he was at seeing him. He smoothed his hand down Notalus’ braid. “I like your hair like this.”

Notalus released a surprised gasp into his mouth before he reared back in his hold. Dustin frowned, wondering what he’d said or done that was out of place. The guards’ backs were against the walls, their eyes scanning everything except them.

“What is it? What did I do?” Dustin asked, still absently stroking Notalus’ braid.

His mate shook his head as if he was confused, a hint of amusement curving his sexy mouth. “It’s nothing… just… no one has ever complimented my hair before.”

Dustin chuckled, shaking his head sadly. “Well then, that’s a shame.”

“Thank you,” Notalus whispered as a cool breeze circulated around them, shoving Notalus in tighter against his chest.

“That’s a neat trick you have, mate. I love it when you use your wind like that.

Mmmm, especially when we’re in bed.” Dustin licked his way back inside Notalus’ mouth, unable to get a thorough enough taste.

His titan was a blend of everything wonderful about autumn.

He was all earth tones and sharp features, fair skin with tresses the shade of fallen leaves. “Are you making the wind?”

“No. I can only manipulate and control the wind,” Notalus answered. “I cannot create it.”

The gust picked up enough to make the aspen and hawthorn trees bend toward Notalus as if bowing to their master.

The water rippled in the fountain, while new buds floated into the air.

Dustin stared up at the clear blue sky through the towering skylights while Notalus sucked passion marks along his throat.

“I have something to show you,” he murmured against Dustin’s flushed skin. “Something special for my consort. A gift fitting for the moon god.”

Dustin huffed an exasperated breath. “Part god, Notalus, or more like one-quarter god. That’s nothing to boast about because I hardly feel like one. I’m a shifter that also just happens to be really good at farming.”

“Oh Dustin,” Notalus sighed, stroking his beard and making him bite his lip to hold in his groan. “You are so much more than that, and I’m about to show you.”
