Chapter 13
Chapter Thirteen
Titan
Pulling into the stadium today felt different.
This would be the first game that Tink would be attending, and that shit had me on edge.
Sasha and Dee said it would be good to have her here, but I never had a female who wasn’t family come to my game.
I hope that shit didn’t knock me off my square.
The only thing that gave me some sort of peace was that Graves would be with them.
I pulled into the team lot and made my way through the metal detectors and through the corridor that led to the locker room. Muthafuckas with cameras were already swarming the area, and I bypassed all that shit and went straight into the locker room. When I got there, I spotted Zay first.
“Sup, Sam?” he greeted.
“Aight shit,” I countered.
“You ready to go out here and kick up some dust?” He smirked.
“You better muthafuckin’ know it,” I laughed as we slapped hands.
Tatum and Kobe were coming around the corner, already dressed.
“’Bout time you got your pretty boy ass here,” Kobe joked.
“Nigga, don’t get mad at me because the bitches love me.” I smirked.
“You bet not let Tink hear you say that shit,” he countered with a laugh.
“Call her Tink again, nigga,” I snarled. “She’s Cadence or Cady to you niggas.” I pointed, and Tatum laughed.
“The fuck you laughing for?” I frowned.
“Your ass done fell in love,” he continued to laugh, and I waved his ass off and went to change.
I passed CP on the way, and that nigga looked like he smelled shit. I chucked my chin at him just to piss him off and headed to change. By the time I was done, it was time to go on the field and warm-up.
“Aye, Cady still coming?” Tatum asked.
“Yeah. She should be with my people in the family section. Did Ava come tonight?” I asked.
“Yeah, she’s over there... that’s why I asked.
I nodded.
“That’s a good thing. It’ll be another familiar face, and she won’t feel so out of place,” I stated as we walked out.
“You care?” Kobe asked.
I just stared at him and didn’t bother to respond. That only made his stupid ass laugh as we made it through the tunnel.
Once we were on the field, I made my way to the stands to greet my people. I got stopped by a few fans who wanted my autograph or a picture before I made it to them.
“Wassup, people?” I greeted as I stood in front of them. The barrier wasn’t that high, so I was able to lean on it.
“Hey, son,” my pops spoke first and gave me a look that only made me shake my head and laugh at his ass.
“You did good, son,” my mama smirked.
“Ma, chill,” I laughed before speaking to Lani, Janae and Ava before giving my attention to Tink.
“You good, Tink?” I asked.
She nodded.
“I’m fine, Titan,” she simpered.
“That seventeen looks good on you, baby.” I grabbed the end of her fitted jersey, causing her to blush.
“Don’t make me look bad out here. I’ll go home and burn this jersey.” She smirked.
“Watch out,” I bellowed. “I was just making sure you were good. I need to get out here and warmup before kickoff.”
“Okay, good luck.” When she said that, I stalled for a second before leaning in and kissing her lips.
“That’s all the luck I need.” I winked and headed to the field.
I knew the cameras caught that shit, but that wasn’t for them... it was for me.

“Titan, another big game for you and another win for the Cannons. But lately, there’s been a lot of attention surrounding your personal life.
We’ve seen you out with the same woman several times now, and tonight she was sitting with your family.
Should we take that as confirmation that she’s someone special?
” The reporter wasted no time asking about Tink... I knew she wouldn’t.
“What I will confirm is that we played a hell of a game out there tonight and it showed.” I smirked.
“So that’s all you’re willing to say about it?” She fished, looking for an answer to her question.
“Football is all I’m required to talk about... not my personal life,” I countered.
“Fair enough, but fans are curious.”
“When are they not?” I laughed.
“Is it safe to say we’ll be seeing more of her?”
I adjusted the microphone in front of me.
“It’s safe to say we’re going to get out on the field and do the same thing next week.”
Another reporter started to say something, but I noticed one headed in Tink’s direction, and I got up as quick as I could and cut him off.
“Nah, we’re not here for that,” I said as I stepped between him and Tink.
“Titan!” Sasha seethed.
“I’m good, Sash,” I said over my shoulder.
“I just wanted to ask the young lady a few questions,” he said.
“Aren’t you a sports reporter?” I asked, never moving from in front Tink. Graves had it covered, but I needed to let these muthafuckas know to find them somebody else to fucking play with.
“I am, but the gi—”
“—but nothing. She’s not a player or a cheerleader, so you’on need to talk to her. Now you can either take that or talk to me.” I stepped closer. “One on one.” I looked him dead in the eyes so he could see how serious I was.
I saw him swallow before he nodded and went on his way. I turned and everybody was staring at me.
“What y’all looking at?” I frowned.
“Nothing at all, Bubby,” Lani snickered.
I shook my head and stood in front of Tink and Janae.
“You enjoy the game?” I asked her.
“I did. You looked good out there,” she complimented.
I smirked. “’Preciate that, Tink. What y’all ’bout to get into?” I asked as we walked closer to the entrance, with Graves leading the way.
“I’m about to get in my bed. I got class in the morning,” Tink responded.
I hadn’t taken my eyes off her yet in my jersey and those ripped jeans that her thick ass swallowed.
“Y’all should come out with us and celebrate,” I offered.
She looked at me before she responded. “That sounds good, but I’m pretty sure y’all are going to S.O.D and I’m od’d on that place. I’m going home... take a nice hot shower and crawl into bed and hopefully be asleep before my head hits the pillow,” she affirmed.
“Aight then. Let me know when you make it in and shit.” I placed a kiss on her forehead as she got into her car, with Janae following suit.
When I turned around, Graves was looking at me with a smirk on his face.
“The fuck your big goofy ass smiling for?”
“You falling for that girl,” he stated.
I didn’t deny his claim because I didn’t know what I felt... I just knew whatever it was, was no longer for the cameras.

The crowd at S.O.D. was crazy, but that was to be expected since we won at home. Everybody came out to get a chance to party with us or be chosen.
I was up in our regular section vibing. Strippers were everywhere, and they all were waiting for a chance to get slutted out. I kept my distance and enjoyed everything from a safe distance.
“Damn, nigga. You look sick,” Kobe joked.
I cut my eyes at him before taking a sip of my drink.
“Nigga, it’s too much ass and pussy on display for you to be all in my face,” I replied.
“That’s what I’m saying. All this ass in your face and you look like you miss your best friend or some shit,” he clarified.
“Or his woman,” Tatum chimed in.
I ignored both of them niggas and chilled. It wasn’t long before Ice strolled her ass over and tried to sit in my lap, but I curved her ass.
“Damn, it’s like that?” She questioned with a frown.
I glared at her ass instead of responding, but she didn’t catch the hint.
“How about we leave here and have a celebration of our own,” she flirted.
“I’m straight,” I stated calmly because I was two seconds from pushing this bitch down.
“Oh, you think Cady wants your ass. That stuck up bi—”
Before she could call her a bitch, I squeezed her jaws together.
“Watch your fucking mouth. You’re worrying about the wrong shit. Instead, you should be worried about how to hydrate that dry ass pussy you keep tryna throw on a nigga.” I let her jaws go and turned to my boys.
“Aye, I’m out.”
I didn’t wait for them niggas to respond before I headed out the section with Graves following. I went to look for Stacks before I left and found him by the bar with Geno. Going into my pocket, I pulled out some bills and handed it to him.
“Give that to Ice’s dehydrated ass,” I said.
“The fuck you do?” He quizzed.
“Squeezed that hoe’s jaws for being reckless.” I shrugged.
“Nigga...” he stressed.
“Man, she’ll be alright. Give her that money and tell her to take it and get one of them pussy rejuvenating things.” Stacks, Geno, and Graves howled with laughter, but I was dead ass serious.
“Man, I’m out,” I said as I exited through the back.
When we got out back, I told Graves I was good, but of course he wasn’t going to leave until I did.
I got in my car and grabbed my phone and called the one person I couldn’t keep my mind off of.
“Hello?” Tink answered.
“You still up?” I asked.
“Yes. Janae just left not long ago. I was cleaning the kitchen,” she responded.
“You cooked?”
“Yeah,” she countered.
“Bet. I’m on my way.”
I hung up without giving her a chance to shut me down. I wanted to see her little ass tonight, and that’s just what I was going to do.
