Chapter 13

Karter looked out the window of the backseat of the car.

They had landed a little over an hour ago.

While she, her mother, and Creed had waited for the luggage, her father had gone to retrieve the driver they’d reserved.

It had been a bit of a hassle. The person before them had used the car their driver was supposed to, had been late, and once the rental company had washed and vacuumed it out, they’d taken it to be gassed up.

They tried to offer them the only other vehicle and driver they had, but it was a Mini Cooper and would not be big enough for all of them.

So, they had waited, which irritated her dad because he had no patience. However, the rest of them had been fine. Happy to stretch a bit more before getting in the car.

Here she was now, taking in all the sights on the way to the hotel. She was sitting between her mother and Creed in the backseat, but she was practically in his lap, his hand running up and down her side.

Everything was so beautiful, and she couldn’t wait to see and experience as much of it as possible. They would be there for an entire week, and while she knew it would be enough time to take in several things, she knew she wouldn’t be able to do everything.

It was about twenty minutes before they pulled up to the resort where they were staying. Again, she was amazed by how beautiful it was. Creed removed his arm from around her waist and got out of the car. He held his hand out to her, and Karter took it, getting out.

They went to the back of the car to retrieve their luggage from the trunk. Creed pulled out her suitcase and carry-on, then his suitcase, while her father helped her mother and paid the driver.

Karter reached for hers, but Creed moved it out of reach with a raised brow. They entered the lobby, and her mother checked them in at the front desk, receiving four key cards. The concierge, who had been loading their suitcases onto a cart, led them towards the elevator once they were all set.

Their rooms were on the fourth floor, and once they made it up, her mom handed her and Creed two cards.

Karter checked the number on the outside of the envelope and saw that it was four-nineteen.

They stopped in front of room four-eleven, where the concierge dropped off her parents and their bags.

It was two in the afternoon, and her mother told them to relax, take a nap, and that they would meet for dinner at seven.

Karter thought that was an amazing idea.

Once they were inside their room, or well, her mother had called them rooms, but Karter should have known they would be suites. They walked into an open kitchen and living room area. The furnishings were nice, and she was sure they were comfortable.

Karter led the way to the bedroom, Creed following behind her with their suitcases. She went into the en suite as he set their suitcases in the closet out of the way.

The bathroom was amazing, with a large tub and a walk-in shower. She honestly couldn’t wait to take a soak in it. Since moving out of her parents’ house, she hadn’t been in a bathtub that big in a while. It excited her.

She turned to find Creed leaning against the doorframe of the bathroom, watching her. She smiled at him before going over.

“Everything is so gorgeous,” she said, wrapping her arms around his waist, her chin on his chest, looking up at him.

“You’re gorgeous. It’s pretty here,” he corrected, leaning down to kiss her.

Creed wrapped his arm around her waist, picking her up. Karter wrapped her legs around him, her arms draping over his shoulders. She always enjoyed that he could handle her so easily. While it made her feel small, it also made her feel protected.

He took her back into the bedroom and placed her on the bed, pulling her shoes off before sitting on the bed beside her. Creed took one of her feet in his hands and massaged it.

“You should take a nap. We were up pretty early this morning.”

“You’re probably right. I don’t feel tired now, but I know it’ll hit me later and I won’t be able to function.”

“Oh, you definitely need to be able to function tonight,” he told her, switching feet. “You’ll need as much energy as possible.”

It took Karter a moment to realize what he was saying, and she bit her bottom lip. “Then let me nap now, because I want to be thoroughly energized.”

Creed chuckled, releasing her foot. He kissed her forehead before she moved to the middle of the bed, preparing for a long nap.

Ravage sat across the table from Karter, eyes glued to her and the way she was currently eating the ice cream she’d ordered for dessert.

He knew she was doing it on purpose, trying to rile him up, but he honestly didn’t need that.

He’d already decided he was going to give her what she’d been wanting tonight.

But damn if he would not have fun putting it on her since she’d decided to tease him.

When she looked up and made eye contact with him, he smirked at her before continuing to eat his own dessert.

When he’d woken up earlier from his nap in their room, he’d found her lying on his chest. Ravage hadn’t wanted to wake her, but it was going on six, and he knew they needed to get ready for dinner.

She’d tried to coax him into the shower with her, and to say he almost gave in would be an understatement, but he’d held strong.

They’d opted for having dinner at one of the restaurants at the resort. The sun had set, and they could see the night sky peppered with stars, and beach through the bank of windows.

They were heading out of the restaurant fifteen minutes later, and Karter turned towards their rooms when he stopped her.

“Take a walk with me, baby,” he requested, holding his hand out.

She smiled at him. “Sure,” she responded, taking his hand.

“You two enjoy your walk and have a good night. We’ll meet you tomorrow afternoon for lunch, and we’ll go to the beach, go parasailing, and then check out the aquarium,” Sora informed. She hugged and kissed them both good night.

“Get plenty of rest,” Demetri told them, and Ravage didn’t miss what he meant. However, he wouldn’t break it to the other man; it wasn’t going to happen.

Ravage led her out onto a trail that was lit with soft lighting. They walked hand in hand. Neither of them said anything, but they didn’t need to. They enjoyed one another’s company. The soft sound of waves and the distant sounds of other people served as background noise.

They walked for about fifteen minutes before heading back the way they’d come. Karter leaned into his side, and he leaned down and kissed her forehead. As they were heading back, there was a vendor there who hadn’t been before, selling flowers.

Ravage stopped, buying a white rose from the vendor. He figured it would be a pleasant contrast. He gave it to Karter, and she rose on her tiptoes. Leaning down, he kissed her. Giving her what she was asking for.

They entered the lobby, and he stopped at the front desk to put in a wake-up call. He figured Sora would want to go to lunch at around one, so he put the call in for ten-thirty. It was a bit later than he would normally wake up, but he had plans to be busy for the majority of the night.

When Ravage looked back over to where Karter had waited, looking into the fountain, he found she now had company.

There was a young man there, probably about Karter’s age.

Ravage didn’t have to know what was being said to know that he was flirting with her.

His body language said it all, and so did Karter’s.

She was withdrawn from him, her hands up as she shook her head to whatever he was saying. Going over, Ravage placed his arm over her shoulders.

“Are you ready, baby?” he questioned. However, his eyes remained on the other man the entire time.

“Yeah, I am,” she responded.

Ravage turned and led them toward the elevator. He didn’t feel the need to ask her what the other man had said to her, because it wasn’t important. He trusted her, and he knew that she had shut down whatever advances the other man had been trying to make.

When they made it to their room, Ravage opened the door and stepped aside, allowing her to walk in first, and Karter stopped short. There was a trail of red rose petals on the floor, and tea lights lit the entire room. She turned to look at him, and Ravage signaled for her to continue.

He trailed behind her as she followed the trail into the bedroom, where petals surrounded the bed on the floor.

On top of the bed, there was a basket; from an initial glance, you could see that there were silk scarves, condoms, flavored body paint, and lubricant.

The latter, he knew, they would not need tonight.

Ravage had to admit that Sora had done his vision justice. When he’d asked her if the hotel offered set up service, she had told him she would do it because she in no way wanted some stranger in their room longer than to clean it.

He had been skeptical at first. After all, Karter was her daughter, and he was setting this up to be intimate with her.

However, Sora reminded him she was the one who had booked them separate rooms, for this purpose, and that she was not Demetri.

She was well aware that the two of them were having sex and didn’t see a reason to act ignorant of that fact.

Though she was wrong about them already having sex, she had a point. So, he had agreed.

“Creed, this is...is this why you wanted to wait?”

He walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. “It is, baby. I wanted the first time I was deep inside you to be one to remember.”

She turned in his arms, pulling his face down to kiss him. “I’ll definitely remember this.”

“I’m glad, baby. You’ll also remember how tired you’ll be tomorrow. Because I’m not stopping until I get tired, and I’ve stored years’ worth of energy for this.”

He watched as her eyes got big before they darkened and her pupils dilated. “Prove it to me, Ravage.”

He smirked at her, leaning down to grab both of her ass cheeks and pick her up. “Let’s play, baby.”
