7-Unwanted kiss
Everyone was sitting for the prayer, and Rukmini Devi was also seated there.
She was feeling very embarrassed — her daughter-in-law was behaving like a child, and on top of that, she had disappeared during the prayer.
She slowly looked at Samrat, who was sitting beside her, placed her hand on his shoulder, and said,
“Go… bring your wife here.”
Hearing this, Samrat immediately stood up.
He had already been waiting for his mother to say this — he himself wanted to go and find his wife. He had no idea where she had gone.
Walking slowly, he folded the sleeves of his kurta and moved toward the stairs.
As he walked, he glanced around — maybe she was somewhere nearby…
But Vaidehi was nowhere to be seen.
He understood — she must be in the room.
He reached the door of the room. The door was locked from inside, but he knew the password.
He unlocked it, stepped inside, and looked around — everything seemed completely normal…
But his wife was nowhere to be found.
His gaze shifted toward the washroom.
He slowly walked up to it, knocked on the door, and said,
“Vaidehi… are you inside?”
There was no response.
This time, he spoke in a slightly stern voice,
“Vaidehi, answer me… or I’ll come in.”
Hearing Samrat’s voice from outside, Vaidehi panicked badly.
She quickly gathered everything near the washbasin, looked at herself in the mirror, and immediately washed her face.
With splashes of water, all her makeup came off.
She hurriedly wiped her face with a tissue, splashed water again, and dried it with a towel as she walked toward the door.
Both her cheeks were aching badly.
The marks of slaps were clearly visible on her fair cheeks… slowly turning blue.
She didn’t know how she would face Samrat in this condition. She clearly remembered — even on her wedding day, her mother had slapped her four or five times because she wasn’t ready for the marriage.
But at that time, no one came to know because of the veil…
Now how would she hide all this?
While thinking this, an idea suddenly came to her mind —
she would cover her face with a veil again.
After all, she was a newly married bride, and here, girls were expected to stay in a veil… at least that’s what she believed.
Thinking this, she quickly covered her face with the veil…
and then slowly opened the door.
---
As soon as the door opened, Samrat stepped back slightly. Folding his arms, he asked in a low voice,
“What happened? What were you doing in the washroom for so long?”
From inside the veil, she tried to smile softly and said,
“Uh… my makeup got ruined, I was just fixing it. Come on, we’re getting late…”
Saying this, she tried to hold Samrat’s hand, but he pulled his hand back.
She felt hurt, but without saying anything, she walked ahead on her own.
As she moved, the soft jingling sound of her anklet echoed.
Hearing it, Samrat tightly shut his eyes, placed his hand on his heart, took a deep breath, and thought to himself,
“She’s going to drive me crazy…
she looks so beautiful, and she has no idea…
but however she is, she’s mine… only mine. ”
He followed behind her.
---
Downstairs, everyone was surprised to see her in a veil. Just a while ago, the same girl was playing like a child, and now she was sitting with her face covered.
But soon, everyone ignored it. After all, she was married at a young age, and girls these days do have a bit of childishness.
Meanwhile, Rukmini Devi also felt pleased seeing her daughter-in-law in a veil. All her anger faded away.
Placing her hand on her head, she said,
“Sit beside your husband.”
She went and sat next to Samrat. Then both of them performed the aarti together, and gradually the prayer ceremony came to an end.
---
As soon as the prayer ended, Vaidehi immediately went to Rukmini Devi, held both her hands, and said,
“Mamma, Mamma, I’m very hungry… can I go to my room and eat? Please… please… please…”
Hearing her repeatedly say “please,” Rukmini Devi smiled at her friend standing nearby and said,
“She’s just a child…”
Then turning to Vaidehi, she said,
“Alright, you go. I’ll have the food sent to your room. Go slowly, don’t run too much… you might get hurt.”
Hearing this, Vaidehi smiled under her veil.
She remembered that her own mother had never spoken to her so lovingly.
By now, she had understood that Rukmini Devi was as strict on the outside as she was soft on the inside — just like a coconut.
She suddenly hugged Rukmini Devi and said,
“Okay, Mamma!”
At her gesture, even Rukmini Devi couldn’t stop the smile hidden behind her stern face.
Stroking her head, she said,
“Alright, go… have your food.”
---
After that, Vaidehi hurried toward her room.
Seeing her run, Rukmini Devi called out from behind,
“Walk slowly… you’ll get hurt!”
Sometimes, Rukmini Devi did feel annoyed with Vaidehi. She had wanted her son to marry a sensible girl — someone who would stand beside him and support him… not someone who behaved like a child
But then she would calm herself — maybe this is what God had willed, that’s why it happened. She had accepted this relationship.
Even so, whenever she saw her son’s condition, her heart would ache.
She clearly knew that the relationship between the two of them was not like that of a normal husband and wife.
And while thinking all this, she didn’t consider herself completely wrong either — after all, a mother only wants her son to be happy and for all his needs to be fulfilled.
---
On the other side, Vaidehi quickly entered the room and shut the door.
She was about to remove her veil when she saw Samrat standing in front of her and got startled, immediately turning around.
“Oh… what are you doing here?”
Walking toward her with a faint smile, Samrat said,
“You should ask what I’m not doing… by the way, why are you wearing a veil? That too for the first time… you’re not that traditional to suddenly start covering your face.”
From inside the veil, she smiled slightly and said,
“Well… I want to be a well-behaved daughter-in-law right now, so that everyone thinks I’m a good girl… and I felt bad about what I did earlier…”
Saying this, she was about to open the door when suddenly Samrat grabbed her tightly by the waist from behind.
His voice turned serious—
“Remove the veil.”
Vaidehi panicked.
If she removed the veil, Samrat would find out that she had been slapped.
Inside, she began to panic, thinking quickly about what to say, how to avoid this… at least until the marks faded.
Meanwhile, Samrat extended his hand toward her and said,
“I’ll do it… or will you remove it yourself?”
Vaidehi immediately pushed him away and stepped back, saying,
“Hey, what’s the need… I can’t remove it right now!”
Samrat frowned and asked,
“Why can’t you remove it?”
As he said this, he started walking toward her, folding the sleeves of his kurta.
Stepping back, Vaidehi quickly said,
“I said I can’t remove it, that means I can’t!”
And then she started running around the room.
Samrat began chasing her as well.A dangerous professor… who fears no one…
was today, for the first time, running after someone like a madman—
and that too, after his petite wife.
---
Vaidehi, distressed, places both her hands on her cheeks and thinks to herself,
“Oh God… what will happen now? If he finds out…”
Thinking this, she moves toward the door. Just as she is about to open it, Samrat comes from behind and grabs her tightly.
Pulling her veil, he says,
“You won’t be able to escape from me…”
Saying this, he pulls off her veil.
Vaidehi panics and immediately covers both her cheeks with her hands.
Seeing this, Samrat says in a firm voice,
“Move your hands.”
Vaidehi replies angrily,
“I won’t! You just go from here!”
Samrat’s anger rises even more. He grabs her delicate hands and forcefully pulls them away…
and the moment his eyes fall on the slap marks on her cheeks—he freezes.
His eyes turn red with anger, the veins on his forehead become visible, and his hands start trembling with rage.
Seeing him like this, Vaidehi feels as if her breath has stopped.
In a heavy voice, Samrat asks,
“Who did this?”
Stepping back nervously, Vaidehi says,
“No one… please just go from here…”
Samrat grabs her hand, pulls her toward himself, and holding her by the waist, says,
“I’m asking for the last time… who did this?”
Scared, Vaidehi finally says,
“My mother…”
Hearing this, Samrat steps back abruptly and says angrily,
“Today will be your mother’s last day in this world!”
He immediately walks to the dressing table, opens the drawer, takes out a gun, and puts it in his pocket.
Then he starts moving toward the door.
Seeing all this, Vaidehi screams in fear.
She runs to him, grabs him from behind, and hugs him tightly.
Crying, she says,
“Please… please don’t do anything to her… she did it in anger… I was the one who troubled everyone… all this was for my own good… parents never want anything bad for their children…”
Hearing Vaidehi’s words, Samrat’s anger only intensifies.
He holds her cheeks—but this time, very gently…
and says,
“Do you even know what this is? This is wrong… what happened to you is wrong.
Even if they are your parents, they have no right to raise their hand on you.
You are my wife… my responsibility… you are mine…
and who are they to hurt you?”
Saying this, he moves her aside and again tries to open the door.
Just then, Vaidehi quickly climbs onto the table and suddenly jumps into Samrat’s arms.
Before he can understand anything, she presses her lips against his.
Samrat is completely stunned.
He can’t believe that his innocent little wife just did that…
But the very next moment, he pulls her tightly into his arms..He, too, gets lost in that moment—because it was the first time Vaidehi had come to him on her own and accepted him.
He begins to express all his love in his own way…
but for Vaidehi, it becomes a little too much.
Slowly, her breathing starts getting heavier…
and then it feels like her breath is about to stop…
Sensing this, Samrat kisses her a little deeper, then slowly pulls away from her lips.
Resting his forehead against hers, he says in a low but cold voice,
“If your mother does something like this again… I swear, I’ll kill her.
Stay away from her… and I don’t want her to come to our house. Refuse her.”
Vaidehi, troubled, says,
“I don’t want them to come to my house either…”
Samrat stares at her and asks,
“Then why were you so happy… when you saw your parents?”
Taking a deep breath, Vaidehi says,
“Oh, that was just an act… what would people think otherwise?
After so many months, my parents came and I didn’t even meet them… it would have looked bad in front of everyone… that’s why…”
Catching her words, Samrat smirks slightly and says,
“Oh… so you know how to pretend as well?
Then what just happened… was that also an act?
You… seriously, you’re a very bad girl.
You even pretend love… good girls don’t do things like this.”
Vaidehi gets nervous.
Still in his arms, she leans her head back and says,
“Oh God… where have I gotten stuck…
Now please, don’t do anything… don’t hurt them… they’ll leave tomorrow anyway…”
Gently touching her cheek, Samrat asks,
“Does it hurt a lot… jaan?”
Vaidehi blushes slightly and says,
“No… I mean, it did before… not now… because you showed me so much love…”
Hearing this, Samrat goes silent for a moment.
He realizes he might have gone a bit too far.
He gently lifts Vaidehi and makes her sit on the bed, then says in a normal tone,
“Eat your food… Mom sent it for you.”
He gestures toward the plate kept on the table.
Seeing the food, Vaidehi becomes happy and immediately starts eating.
It was her favorite veg biryani… and now she was slowly getting used to eating vegetarian food as well.
Samrat watches her eating, takes a deep breath…
then takes out a cigarette from his pocket, lights it, and starts smoking.
Seeing this, Vaidehi gets annoyed and says,
“Why do you smoke so much all the time? Your lungs will get damaged!”
Samrat replies in the same tone,
“Then why do you eat so much biryani?
Your digestive system will get damaged.”Vaidehi immediately stands up, places both her hands on her waist, and says,
“There’s a difference between cigarettes and biryani!
Eating biryani gives strength… and smoking cigarettes damages your lungs! ”
Walking closer to her with a slightly dangerous smile, Samrat says,
“Oh really… then should I quit cigarettes and start ‘eating’ you instead?
Come on, take off your clothes and… go freshen up…
I don’t like dirty things… and you look very messy right now…
that’s what will make it more interesting…”
Hearing this, Vaidehi just stares at him for a moment—
embarrassment, anger, and nervousness… all three clearly visible on her face.
Listening to him, Vaidehi feels like her breath is getting stuck.
Stepping back nervously, she says,
“Absolutely not! Are you crazy?
How can someone do something like this with his own wife?
You cannot do this to me…
A good husband doesn’t behave like this with his wife!
And there’s no other girl in your life… I’m the only one…
If you ‘eat’ me and I die, then what will happen?
I didn’t even know… you’re not a professor, you’re a monster!”
Samrat immediately places his hand over her lips and says in a calm but controlled voice,
“Is your mouth a running train… once it starts, it never stops.
Enough… be quiet now… breathe for a moment.”
In anger, Vaidehi bites his finger.
For a moment, Samrat closes his eyes… a slight layer of sweat appears on his forehead. He immediately steps back and, without saying anything, walks toward the washroom.
Watching him leave, Vaidehi feels proud of herself and says,
“I scared him away! He got afraid of me… I’m so strong!
I should be in a boxing tournament!”
Saying all this, she calmly sits back down and starts eating again.
After some time, Samrat comes out… but without saying a word, he walks straight out of the room.
After finishing her food, Vaidehi goes to the washroom to wash her hands.
Seeing ice scattered on the floor, she gets a little surprised.
Then her eyes fall on a small freezer kept in the corner, filled with a lot of ice.
Seeing that, she gets even more confused.
“This man… on the very next day of marriage, he got a fridge installed in the bathroom!
Who does that… a fridge in the bathroom? That’s so weird…”
Muttering to herself, she closes the freezer and even switches it off.
Then she changes her clothes, applies medicine on her cheeks, and lies down on the bed.
Within a short while, she falls asleep… without even realizing when she drifted off.
It was night.
Vaidehi was sleeping peacefully on the bed.
Samrat was also in the room.
However, he was sitting on the couch beside the bed, working on his laptop.
In the silence of the night, only the soft sound of keyboard typing could be heard.
After some time, Samrat finished his work. As he closed his laptop, he glanced at the wall clock…
It was almost midnight.
He placed his laptop into the bag on the tea table and stood up.
At that moment, his gaze shifted toward the bed.
Vaidehi’s clothes were slightly disheveled… and her chest was visibly rising and falling. As soon as Samrat’s gaze fell on her, his eyes darkened.
He tried to look away… but his eyes were no longer under his control.
They just wanted to keep looking at Vaidehi.
Samrat took a deep breath.
Even without wanting to, his steps started moving toward her.
After a moment, he was standing very close to Vaidehi.
He slowly raised his hand.
It was moving toward her chest.
The moment his fingers brushed against her soft skin, his muscular body stiffened.
He quickly stepped back.
Sweat beads appeared on his forehead.
“No… I can’t do this like this. I have to control myself.”
Thinking this, he quickly walked toward the bathroom.
He hurriedly went inside and opened the freezer… but all the ice had melted into water.
In anger, he kicked the fridge and thought to himself,
“Who turned this fridge off? It must be that foolish girl.”
After a while, he was standing under a cold shower.
Both his palms were pressed tightly against the wall in front of him.
Even under the cold shower, he couldn’t control his desires.
Staring at the floor, his eyes suddenly shifted to his pants… and seeing his condition, he tightly shut his eyes.
After about an hour, he came out of the bathroom.
The cold shower had given him some relief.
However, the moment he looked at Vaidehi again, his body tensed up.
He immediately walked out of the room.
All the staff and servants had already gone.
He went into the kitchen, opened the fridge, and poured a tray full of cold ice cubes into his pants.
For the past three months, he had been calming himself down like this… and that was the reason he had installed a freezer in the bathroom. The ice helped him control himself to some extent.
So, what do you all think will happen next? My dear readers, do comment and let me know, and don’t forget to rate and share the story.
I know many of you are a little upset with me for posting chapters late, but what can I do—I fall sick every two days, and that’s why there’s a delay.
