17-please leave me. its hurting.

“Samrat ji, please leave me… it’s hurting. What are you doing?” she said softly.

Samrat smiled lightly and replied, “What do you mean what I’m doing… I’m loving you. Do you have a problem with that?”

Vaidehi quickly looked around and stepped back a little. “Please, someone might come… this is a hospital, not your bedroom. I’m feeling really embarrassed.”

Samrat moved closer to her in a playful way and said, “So what… let’s turn the hospital into a bedroom.”

Vaidehi felt even more uncomfortable. “Samrat ji, please… don’t do this. Seriously, if someone sees us, it will create a big problem. The way you’re acting, it feels like you want to do everything right here.”

Samrat laughed and started unbuttoning his shirt. “Not a bad idea… anyway, you’ve made me wait a lot. Now it’s time to settle the score. How can I just let you go… my love?”

Hearing this, Vaidehi blushed slightly. Lowering her gaze, she said softly, “If this is really what you want… then okay. It’s been three months since our marriage… and we haven’t even made your mother a grandmother yet.”

Samrat smiled at her words and said, “My love, if I really decide to make you a mother… I’ll give you a whole cricket team.”

Vaidehi’s shy smile deepened at his words, and the atmosphere filled with a mix of teasing and warmth.

For a moment, Vaidehi fell silent. She looked at Samrat in shock, her mouth slightly open.

“Why do you always talk in such double-meaning ways? I genuinely feel shy hearing you. You don’t actually do anything, you just keep talking. You yourself said that you don’t love me and don’t even want to stay with me… then why do you care about me so much?”

Samrat looked deeply into her eyes and said, “Do you even realize what you’re saying?”

He paused for a moment, then spoke in a low but cold tone, “It’s okay… one day you’ll understand everything. But you’re very foolish, Vaidehi. I’ll go crazy trying to make you understand, and still you won’t get it. You’ll have to understand it yourself.”

After saying this, he moved away from her. He buttoned his shirt and stood at a distance.Just then, the door of the room opened and a nurse and a doctor walked in.

The doctor checked Vaidehi’s BP and said in a normal tone,

“Everything is normal now. You just need some bed rest.”

Samrat nodded slightly and said casually,

“Doctor, if she needs an injection, go ahead… she kind of deserves it anyway.”

Hearing this, Vaidehi glared at him, and the room once again filled with an awkward silence.

The moment she heard the word “injection,” her condition worsened.

She immediately folded her hands and said nervously,

“For God’s sake, Samrat ji…

please don’t let them give me an injection.

I’ll die, seriously… I’d rather die than take an injection! ”

Seeing her fear, Samrat stroked his beard and said with a slight smile,

“You’re scared of such a small injection… what will you do when a bigger one is given? You know what I mean…”

Hearing this, Vaidehi’s throat went dry. She quickly looked at the doctor and the nurse—both of them were standing there with their eyes lowered in embarrassment.

Vaidehi, feeling both angry and shy, said,

“How can you talk like this in front of a doctor? Don’t you feel ashamed?”

Samrat smiled and said calmly,

“Oh, I was just talking about this injection…”

Saying this, he picked up a large injection from the tray and then showed a smaller one as well,

“What did I say wrong, doctor?”

The doctor herself became confused. She didn’t know what to say. A faint blush was visible on her face, and she just wanted to leave as soon as possible. In her mind, she was thinking how much this man teases his innocent wife.

Then Samrat, without even looking at them, said,

“You can give us some privacy if you want… after all, we are husband and wife. And your work here is done anyway.”

An unusual silence spread across the room again, and the atmosphere grew tense with Vaidehi’s racing heartbeat. The nurse and the doctor immediately nodded and left the room.

As soon as they left, Vaidehi stood up angrily and said,

“That ‘big injection’ you were talking about… I know everything. You weren’t talking about that injection!”

Samrat slowly moved closer to her. He gently tangled her hair in his fingers and said with a smile,

“Oh really… then tell me, which injection was I talking about?”Seeing his shamelessness, Vaidehi’s cheeks turned even redder.

She quickly placed both her hands on her face, not knowing how to respond.

She had unknowingly gotten trapped in Samrat’s words.

Samrat moved even closer, pressing his body against hers, and said softly,

“Come on, say it… why did you go quiet? I’m right here to listen. Which injection was I talking about?”

Closing her eyes in embarrassment, Vaidehi said softly,

“That… the one below…”

Samrat deliberately pretended to be innocent. He stepped back a little, looked down, and said,

“Below? There’s no injection here… I think something’s wrong with your mind. It feels like you need a psychiatrist.”

Hearing this, Vaidehi got angry. She lightly hit his chest and said,

“I don’t want to talk to you! You’re a very bad person… you don’t even deserve to be called a husband. You’re my enemy… my biggest enemy!”

Even in her anger, there was innocence, and Samrat just looked at her with a faint smile.

He moved closer to her again. There was a strange intensity in his eyes. In a low but deep voice, he said,

“Then… it was your enemy who saved your life today. Now tell me, what should I do with you… should I punish you or let you go?”

Vaidehi genuinely got nervous hearing this. She quickly said,

“Are you going to kill me? I just called you an enemy in anger…”

Samrat took her hand and placed it on his chest, slowly sliding it downward as he said,

“You like pani puri a lot, don’t you?”

Vaidehi looked at him in confusion,

“Pani puri? Where did that come from in between?”

Samrat smiled slightly and said,

“Answer what I asked first.”

Vaidehi quickly replied,

“I love it… I really love it a lot.”

The next moment, Samrat held her by the waist and pulled her closer.

He turned her toward the wall, pressing her back against his chest. Leaning close to her neck, he whispered softly,

“Then… if I give you that big injection right now, you won’t fall sick for the next nine months… and you’ll become even more beautiful…”

Hearing this, Vaidehi’s face turned red with both anger and embarrassment.

She immediately said,

“I don’t want any injection!

Now I understand what kind of injection you were talking about…

I’m really scared of injections.”She paused for a moment, then said in a slow but clear voice,

“But… if you do it… I won’t refuse. You are… my husband, after all…”

There was hesitation, shyness, and trust all mixed in her voice, and once again, the atmosphere in the room became deep and emotional.

Samrat understood what she meant. He gripped her hair lightly, turned her toward himself, and said in a cold tone,

“But you never pay attention to what’s happening around you…

and when it comes to saying such things, you’re always ahead.

You’re quite bold… honestly, sometimes I feel like throwing you down from this 27th floor. ”

Hearing this, Vaidehi’s anger flared up even more. She glared at him and said,

“Who started all this? You did! It’s been three months since our marriage… and we haven’t even had our wedding night yet. What am I supposed to tell everyone?”

Samrat stepped back a little and said in a calm but firm tone,

“Why do you need to answer anyone? This is our personal life.”

He took a deep breath and suddenly called out loudly,

“Nurse! Where are you?”

A nurse immediately came in. Samrat said in an irritated tone,

“Bring some ice quickly.”

Vaidehi looked at him in confusion, not understanding why he suddenly needed ice.

After a short while, the nurse returned with ice. Samrat took it and, without saying anything, walked toward the washroom.

Standing there, Vaidehi kept looking at him with confusion and surprise. She couldn’t stop herself and followed him to the bathroom.

“I want to see… what you’re going to do with that ice,” she insisted.

Samrat immediately grabbed her wrist, pushed her out, and shut the door.

Angrily, Vaidehi started banging on the door,

“Open the door! Otherwise, I’ll break it and come in!”

But there was no response from inside.

After about half an hour, the door finally opened and Samrat came out.

In a slightly annoyed voice, he said,

“Stupid girl… you don’t even let a person spend some peaceful time alone. You don’t do anything yourself, and you don’t let me do anything either.”

Hearing this, Vaidehi shyly covered her face with her hands, lowering her gaze.

A faint crooked smile appeared on Samrat’s face. Looking at her, he said softly,

“I’m waiting, Vaidehi… the day you do what I want, I won’t even care about the place… I’ll just take what is mine.”

Vaidehi’s eyes filled with tears. She kept looking at him, completely confused.

She couldn’t understand what Samrat really wanted.

If he accepted her as his wife and didn’t want to stay away from her…

then why didn’t he take the first step himself?

What exactly did he want from her?

If only she knew… she would definitely try.

The truth was, Samrat had only one wish in his heart—

He wanted Vaidehi to come to him on her own… to kneel in front of him with a flower in her hand and confess her love openly… to tell him how much she loved him and ask him to accept her completely.

That was all he wanted.

But Vaidehi never did that… and that was what was eating him up inside.

It made him angry… and somewhere, it also hurt him.

He had never clearly expressed his feelings to her…

and now, he had made a silent promise to himself—

until Vaidehi expressed her feelings on her own, he wouldn’t take a step forward… no matter how restless it made him.

After some time, the door opened again.

Rukmini Devi walked in, holding a bowl of pumpkin soup.

She gently blew on it to cool it down and slowly fed it to Vaidehi.

The atmosphere in the room was calmer now… but the turmoil in their hearts was still just as intense.
