IS CHASE ANDREWS REALLY GIVING THE BUSINESS TO HIS ATTORNEY?

@ShaySpillsTheTea

Short answer: YES!

Chase Andrews was recently seen gallivanting in the streets of New Dawn. Several reports say that the superstar running back has been spending a LOT of time there recently.

Why is this important? Because Amaya Lewis, yes, that Amaya Lewis—the same one who was his attorney during his recent DV trial—also lives in New Dawn and the duo was spotted cozied up on a night out.

Y’all think he’s banging her gavel?

Big Sandals had it out for me. That was the only logical explanation as to why every time something good happened to me, the world fell apart immediately after.

Was it because I had sex before marriage? Nah, couldn’t be. I knew plenty of bitches who been poppin’ pussy since the Stone Age, and nothing like this ever happened to them.

It had to be the time my college boyfriend cheated on me, so I fucked his barber. He had a whole mental episode and never got his hair cut by a professional again. I just saw that nigga recently and his line up was still asymmetrical as fuck.

Or maybe it was that time my girls and I went to Padre and robbed these niggas…

It was a total accident. We all rode to the beach together and the police pulled up and arrested them.

They went to jail and we didn’t realize that their wallets were still in our rental.

We had no way of tracking them down, so we took the money for safekeeping, and left the rest of their shit on the beach… Total accident.

“You good, Toni?” Chase asked as he walked up behind me in the bathroom and kissed the top of my head. The sight of his shirtless body in the mirror was almost enough to make me forget that I was about to lose my damn job.

“I don’t wanna go,” I whined. I fell asleep to the article and woke up to an email requesting my presence in Oliver’s office first thing in the morning.

After I called the restaurant where the leak came from and threatened to sue the damn grass off their walls, they ended up refunding everything Chase had paid for exclusivity times three, but the damage was already done.

I knew I had done some reckless shit in my day, but I’d never been fired before.

I had never lost at anything, and even though I hated that fucking job and everything about it, the fact that they thought they could just take it away didn’t sit right with me.

“Just get it over with, baby,” he said in a soothing voice as he rubbed my back. “Whatever happens, I’ll be right here waiting on you when you get back… You want me to drive you?”

“I’m okay,” I smiled back. This man was everything. I don’t know how he did it, but he seemed to talk me down every time. My spirit felt rested and peaceful for the first time that I could remember.

“Okay, just remember—I got you. No matter what happens.” He assured me, and I believed him.

The whole drive into the office, I blasted Money Mani’s most shit talking songs to hype myself up for the inevitable.

It was just my luck that the first person I saw when I stepped off the elevator was Cowen’s ugly ass.

I immediately rolled my eyes at the sight of his thin pursed lips and stupid comb-over.

“Well, I see you wouldn’t open those legs for me, but you did for the football player—guess my bank account wasn’t big enough,” he said low enough for only me to hear him. I leaned closer and answered back with all the rage swirling inside me.

“Bitch, your bank account ain’t big enough, dick ain’t big enough, and you have no lips! If you were the last man on earth, I’d fuck this copy machine before I ever gave you a second look. Don’t fucking try me today Cowen because I swear to God-”

Jocelyn reached me at the exact moment that I reached into my purse for my switchblade.

I always flirted with the downstairs security guard so he would let me keep it on me—today was no different.

Chase said he had me no matter what, so I was fully prepared to smile in my mugshot and sit in County for an hour or two until he picked me up.

“Hey,” she said, cutting me off and holding my hand firmly. “Let’s get you prepped and ready for this meeting.” She hurriedly pulled me to my office, leaving Cowen there looking like a pissed off pufferfish.

“That’s the second time you saved his ass from being filleted… I won’t spare him a third time,” I said with a frown.

“Girl, fuck him. So, what’s the plan?” I had just prepped myself to give her a rundown of my prepared statements when Oliver’s assistant Brittany knocked and let us know he was ready to see me. I rolled my eyes, and Jocelyn and I parted ways so I could deal with this bullshit.

“Good morning,” Oliver said with a tight smile as I made my way into his office. He was there, alongside a few members of HR.

“Good morning,” I replied, giving him the same energy that he gave me. I smiled warmly at Solei and Reagen, the two members of HR that I was very familiar with.

“I’m sure you know why we are all here today,” he started in a tone like he was giving a eulogy at a funeral.

“I am,” I said with a grave nod.

“As I’m sure you’re aware. Client attorney relationships are explicitly frowned on here at Kyle, Roy, & Associates.

The optics alone could question the integrity of our very foundation.

” I knew that the reason why he couldn’t say “forbidden” was because he would be a complete hypocrite.

I had heard the stories of him sleeping with his clients wife, and his current wife used to be one of his secretaries.

Since he was a straight white man, none of this was “frowned upon”, and they reworded multiple company policies to make sure he wasn’t implicated in anything.

“Yes, sir. I’m aware—”

“I wasn’t finished!” My eyes snapped shut as I dug my top teeth into my bottom lip.

“As I was saying. What you did was completely unprofessional and out of line. I would think someone as sharp witted as you would know better.” The face he made when he said “sharp witted” was almost enough for me to have my nigga drive over here and smack the fuck out of him, but I played my role, clearing my throat before I spoke again.

“Yes, and I would like to start off by saying that the moment anything became unprofessional between Mr. Andrews and I, was the moment that I recused myself from the case, and reported it to HR.” I said, reciting the only half lie that I needed to tell throughout this whole ordeal.

“Is that so?” he asked with a quirked brow, looking to Soleil to confirm my statements.

“That’s correct,” Soleil noted, giving him the exact date and time when I came into her office right after Chase and I had our meltdown, and told her that I stepped down due to the evolution of our relationship.

I know he said it wouldn’t blow back on me, but at that moment, I was happy that I covered my own ass.

“But you never told me directly, even when I specifically asked you why you chose to step down… why is that?” he asked, annoyance peppered all over his face.

“Mr. Kyle, it’s been brought to our attention that Ms. Lewis expressed to you that she was uncomfortable taking his case in the first place, but was urged—by you—multiple times, and even had her job security threatened.

She took the case out of fear for her job, but the moment she felt unsure of her ability to perform, she reported it to us.

Ms. Lewis is in no way obligated to share details of her personal life with you—romantic, sexual, or anything of the sort.

She completed the correct course of action as detailed by you in the employee handbook,” Soleil said with a polite grin.

He looked from her to me with a scowl, then sat back, taking a beat with his pale hands clasped together in silence before he spoke again.

“I guess that’s good to know, because you were actually selected by the board of trustees for partner consideration,” he blurted out like he couldn’t stand the taste of the words.

My face contorted into the nastiest frown as his audacity damn near knocked me off my feet.

Per tradition, anytime an employee at Kyle, Roy, & Associates was presented the opportunity, there was usually a big fanfare.

Oliver would take them out to dinner at the fanciest restaurant in New Dawn and break the news to them over the finest steak, bourbon, and cigars that the city could offer.

This motherfucker just threw that shit in casual conversation like I was expected to jump for joy.

Luckily for me, that made everything that I was about to do that much easier.

“So, let me get this straight. You planned on telling me that when I walked in here… but still opened by berating me about the Chase situation?” I asked.

“I just wanted to have everything out in the air for this new beginning.” The more he spoke, the more he looked like he wanted to curl up and die. I for one would have fucking loved to watch his stale, conniving, slimy ass take his last breath right then, but I also had to get my shit off first.

“No, that’s not what you wanted. You wanted to put me in my place. The board is forcing your hand in this, and you wanted it to be clear to me, that this wasn’t your choice. Well, let me do us both a favor Oliver—I don’t accept your offer, and would like to counter with my terms for resignation.”

“You… want to resign?” he asked, damn near falling out of his seat.

“Yes, under the following terms—a double sided NDA, I don’t speak about my time here, and no one here can release any information about it in the future.”

“Done,” he said quickly with a nod.
