Danny told his dad six times (he counted) not to pick him up from the airport.

It’s late, and Danny’s dad, Cal, has trouble driving in the dark.

As soon as Danny steps into the baggage claim area, he sees Cal holding a deconstructed cardboard box on which he has written: DANNY!

!! Danny feels, in order: pity, then annoyance, then love, then guilt. When they hug, Cal is already crying.
