Chapter 24 #2
I kiss her back just as softly. There’s a faint trace of wine on her tongue when it brushes against mine, warm and familiar. Her nails skim the nape of my neck in a way that makes me groan.
For a moment, the world fades into nothing but this: her breath, her touch, and the quiet way she fits against me. I find myself wishing I could stay right here, doing this forever.
I ease back just enough to see her properly, my hands still warm against her back, thumbs moving in slow, absent strokes.
“I need you to listen to me,” I say quietly. “What they said in there, none of it is true. Not about you. Not about that ridiculous baby talk. None of it.”
The idea alone makes me want to pull my dick off. I've not wanted that with Rose for a long time. And the way they spoke about Willow—like she's difficult, and that she's something to be tolerated instead of treasured—stirs up a dark and protective feeling within me.
“I don't really care what she says about me. I figured out a long time ago that I was never going to have a loving mum like other people do. And that's okay. I had my dad.”
Her teeth catch her bottom lip, and her gaze drifts to the side for a second. I feel the change in her breathing before she looks back at me.
“I just hate when she talks badly about him,” she admits. “Because he wasn't a bad person. And I know you aren't either.”
She leans in and presses another quick kiss to my mouth. “She doesn't deserve you.”
A faint smile pulls at my lips because I wish I believed that as easily as she does. My past is a mess of things I’m not proud of, things she doesn't know yet. But right now isn't the time to let her know everything I regret.
“I don't deserve you,” I confess.
It's the truth. I don't
I should've kept my distance. I should have let her hate me if that's what it took to stop this from happening.
Instead, I was selfish.
I wanted her to want me. I wanted her close. I wanted that look in her eyes every time she smiled at me, even when I knew letting it happen would tangle us into something complicated, messy… wrong in everyone's eyes.
When I kissed her, everything changed. I fought against it, trying to be the good man, the responsible one. She needed someone to stay in the dark with her until she could find the light again, not another complication.
But the devil on my shoulder won, and I would do it again.
“You deserve to be happy, Elijah. And for the first time in a while… You make the pain quieter.”
Something in me gives way at that.
I kiss her again—deeper, slower—guiding her back until the sink presses into her hips. My hands settle at her waist, drawing her in like I’m afraid she might slip through my fingers if I don't hold her tight enough. She gasps softly into my mouth, her grip fisting my shirt.
“I won't lie,” I murmur against her lips, my voice rougher now, “watching that idiot stare at you and touch you like that nearly broke my restraint.”
“Were you jealous?”
I bite her bottom lip, surprised by how I’m feeling. I felt more jealousy watching Blake with Willow than I did seeing Rose ride someone else's cock.
She leans back, smirking, and I know she can feel exactly what she does to me. My hand drifts slowly down her chest, my finger tracing a lazy path that makes her inhale sharply when I brush over her nipple through the fabric.
Her body reacts before she can hide it, and I love that I make her feel like that.
I need her. Even more so, but we need to go back out there soon.
“I've never been a jealous man, princess… But when it comes to you, I’m nothing short of feral. Now spin around and show me my pussy. I need to taste you if I’m going to get through the rest of this dinner.”
“Are you serious?” she whispers.
“Deadly, baby.”
I kiss her hard, then turn her so she's facing the mirror. Her palms brace against the sink as I glance once at the door, half-surprised we haven't been interrupted yet, but the thought barely registers.
I’m not leaving this room without making her come on my tongue.
I drop to my knees behind her, hands sliding over the curve of her ass before I lift the hem of her dress. A light pink thong.
Fuck me.
A grin tugs at my mouth. “Have I ever told you how much I love you in these?”
Willow looks at me over her shoulder. “No, but I guess you do?”
Winking at her, I run my tongue over my lip, tilting my head as I take her in. She's already soaked for me, pink and glistening, and the sight alone makes me swear under my breath, and my cock painfully hardens even more.
There's no time to tease. I pull her thong to the side and bury my face between her thighs and drag my tongue through her quickly, groaning at the taste of her like it's the first time.
Her knuckles go white around the edge of the sink. A shaky breath leaves her, then a soft, helpless sound she tries and fails to swallow down.
“Elijah,” she pants. “We shouldn't be doing this.”
I hum against her, the vibration making her jolt. “You say that.” I circle my tongue around her clit. “But you're not exactly stopping me, are you?”
She lets out a strangled laugh that melts into a moan, hips twitching back toward my mouth despite herself.
God, she tastes incredible.
She's my favourite sin.
Her moans build, louder and more desperate, and I can feel the slick heat of her against my tongue.
My teeth brush her piercing, eliciting a gasp from her, telling me not to stop.
If she thinks I would ever stop doing this, then she's insane.
No idea how far gone I am for her and so obsessed with how her body reacts to me.
I clamp down on her clit, sucking with everything I've got, and her legs start trembling, quivering so violently I have to steady her.
She comes, long and shuddering, and I let her ride it as if time has stretched around us.
Oh, how I wish it were my cock inside her.
When she finally catches her breath, I rise behind her, a satisfied grin on my face. Her eyes are bright, lips red from biting, that perfect mix of fire and mischief I love to see. I wipe my mouth with the back of my hand.
“Next time, I want you to sit on my face.”
“I’d suffocate you.”
I chuckle and tug her along with me. “I don't see the problem.”
We reach the door, and both of us stop. Quin leans against the wall opposite, smirking, one finger twirling around a strand of hair.
“Hey, guys, have fun?” she drawls.
Willow glances between me and Quinn, a silent conversation happening between them.
“Don’t worry, I tackled Pond before he could check on you, and that wouldn't have ended with a happy ending.”
Pond?
Quinn scans the restaurant behind her and then approaches Willow, but her gaze soon drifts to me, lingering on my lips. I stiffen as I realise I'm still holding her hand. It’s one thing for someone to know about us; it’s an entirely different matter for them to see us like this.
Quinn's smirk deepens, her tone teasing. “She tastes good, doesn't she, Elijah?”
Willow looks like she wants to crawl under the floor and disappear as Quinn wiggles her eyebrows at her. I freeze for a second, caught off guard by the revelation, and the laugh that escapes Quinn makes it obvious she can read my expression.
Nope. Not what I want to picture.
Even if she is a woman, I’m still a possessive asshole through and through.
Willow shoots Quinn a look that could genuinely stop a heart before it crumbles into pure embarrassment as she turns to me.
“It was a one-time thing,” she rushes out. “Nothing else ever happened. I swear. It was before I met her, and do you know how horrifying it was bumping into her at the coffee shop?”
I can't help the chuckle that slips free. I squeeze her hand briefly before letting go. “Breathe, princess. You're okay.”
Amusement hums through me as I glance at Quinn. “She does taste good,” I say casually, then let my eyes narrow at Quinn, a playful edge despite the seriousness underneath. “But she also tastes like mine.”
I can't change the past. They're friends now. And I trust Willow completely. Still, I’m a man absolutely obsessed with his woman, and the thought of anyone else touching her like that doesn't sit well in my gut.
Quinn lifts her hands in surrender. “Roger that, hottie. Do all of your brothers look like you and Ezra? I bet your mum is ridiculously pretty—”
Willow groans loudly and grabs her arm, dragging her away before she can keep going.
She really is a walking mouth with no filter.
I rub my eyes, trying to reset myself. I’m still wound tight and hard from no relief. Now I need to go and sit back at the table with Willow's taste on my tongue, while looking at Rose pretending everything is fine between us.
