CRUSHES AND CONVERSATIONS

LAKE

Which dress looks better? *screenshot attached*

SUTTON

Ooh, am I your fashion consultant now?

LAKE

Don’t make me regret asking you.

SUTTON

Get both. They’re stunning on you.

LAKE

I would, but one dress costs me a week’s worth of groceries.

SUTTON

*sent $500*

LAKE

ARE YOU CRAZY??

SUTTON

Get. Both.

LAKE

Why would you do that? I didn’t ask you because I secretly hoped you would blow your money on me.

SUTTON

I know. I wanted to.

LAKE

I’m sending it back. I don’t know how Apple Pay works, but I’ll figure it out.

SUTTON

Are gifts a foreign concept to you?

LAKE

When they’re this expensive? YES.

SUTTON

The money was just going to collect dust anyways. All I spend it on is groceries, rent, and utilities. I don’t remember the last time I bought something for personal enjoyment.

LAKE

That’s…sad. And something we’ll unpack later. I don’t need both dresses.

SUTTON

God, I forgot how stubborn you are.

LAKE

I’m realistic. You don’t owe me anything.

SUTTON

No, but I seriously think you’d be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t buy both. They were made for you.

SUTTON

Just as much as they were made for me to take off you.

LAKE

Ah, so the golden boy has an ulterior motive?

SUTTON

From where I see it, we both get what we want.

LAKE

I can’t believe I’m actually considering this.

SUTTON

Do I need to send another five hundred to sweeten the deal?

LAKE

NO!

SUTTON

The harder you resist, the more I want to.

LAKE

Where would I even wear these? They’re not brunch-with-my-mom casual.

SUTTON

On the many dates I have planned, obviously.

LAKE

You’re impossible.

SUTTON

I’m realistic.
