45 | Why Is Babys Dad Crying?
He stayed strong as long as she needed him. But the moment the pain was over, the tears he had been holding back finally escaped.

Months passed.
The love grew.
The care grew.
And somehow, Avyukt became even more protective.
Meanwhile, Siya had moved back to her own house, but that hardly changed anything between her and Krish.
Everyone knew they were dating now.
Daily calls.
Daily messages.
Office lunches.
Family dinners.
Krish even visited her mother regularly, and over time she had accepted him too.
Everything was finally peaceful.
Everything was finally happy.
---
afternoon, after months away from work, Avyukt attended an important board meeting at Vardhan Group.
The directors were settling into their seats. The presentation was about to begin.
Then his phone rang.
Ruhi.
He frowned and picked up.
"Hello?"
On the other side came a panicked voice.
"Bhai! Come quickly! Bhabhi is having pain!"
The color drained from his face.
He was already standing before the call ended.
Without informing anyone, without taking his laptop, without saying a single word-
He ran.
---
Halfway to the parking lot, another call came.
"Dad has taken her to the hospital. Come directly there."
Avyukt changed direction immediately.
---
Meanwhile, at a café nearby, Krish and Siya overheard the call. The moment they understood what was happening, both jumped from their seats and rushed toward the hospital.
Soon everyone was there.
Avantika's parents.
Avyukt's parents.
Ruhi.
Krish.
Siya.
Everyone.
---
Inside the labor room, Avantika was struggling through the pain.
The doctor looked at Avyukt.
"You can stay with her if you'd like."
He didn't even think twice.
"Yes."
---
For hours he stayed there.
Holding her hand.
Wiping her tears.
Trying to calm her.
Even when she was squeezing his hand so hard that he was sure she had broken several bones.
At one point she actually bit his shoulder.
Hard.
But he didn't complain.
Not once.
Because every time she looked scared, he smiled and said the same thing.
"I'm here."
---
Outside, the entire family waited nervously.
Minutes felt like hours.
Hours felt like days.
Then finally-
The cry of a baby echoed through the corridor.
Everyone stood up.
A few moments later- Another cry.
Silence.
Then realization.
Two babies.
Twins.
---
The family exploded into tears and laughter.
Doctors and nurses were smiling.
Everyone was trying to see the babies.
Everyone except Avyukt.
---
Inside the room, he was still sitting beside Avantika.
Holding her hand.
His eyes were red.
Real tears running down his face.
Avantika looked exhausted but smiled weakly.
"What happened?"
His voice broke.
"You were in so much pain."
Avantika stared at him.
The babies had just been born.
Yet he wasn't looking for them.
He wasn't asking about them.
He was only looking at her.
---
Outside, everyone was already asking questions.
"Boy or girl?"
"Who looks like whom?"
"Show us!"
But when someone came to call Avyukt, he simply shook his head.
"No."
Everyone looked confused.
"What do you mean no?"
"Go see them."
He wiped his eyes.
Then looked back at Avantika.
"I'm not going anywhere."
"Why?"
His answer was immediate.
"How could I leave her alone after all that?"
The corridor fell silent.
"She saw them before I did."
"So we'll see them together."
---
A few minutes later, the door opened.
Renuka walked in carrying one baby and Avantika's mother carried the other.
One tiny boy.
One tiny girl.
---
Both mothers carefully brought them closer.
With trembling hands, Avyukt lowered his gaze.
A tiny little girl sleeping peacefully.
A tiny little boy wrapped beside her.
For a second, he couldn't breathe.
The room disappeared.
The noise disappeared.
Everything disappeared.
There were only four people in his world.
Avantika.
Their daughter.
Their son.
And him.
---
Slowly, Avantika looked at him.
He looked at her.
And then both of them started crying.
Not from pain.
Not from fear.
Not from heartbreak.
But because after every misunderstanding, every separation, every tear, every struggle- They had finally reached their happiest beginning.
Their family.
-------
Finally, the babies were coming home.
Avantika was carrying their baby boy in her arms while Avyukt carefully held their baby girl.
As soon as they reached the entrance, everyone was already waiting. The entire house was decorated beautifully.
Flowers. Lights. Balloons.
A huge welcome board.
Everything.
Renuka stood at the entrance with an aarti thali in her hands.
Her eyes were already wet. After all these years, her family finally felt complete.
She performed their aarti while everyone showered flowers on the babies.
Ruhi was practically jumping with excitement.
"Finally!"
"I'm a bua!"
Nobody knew whether she was happier than the parents themselves.
---
A little away, Krish and Siya stood together.
Krish looked at the tiny babies.
Then at Siya.
Then at the babies again.
And smiled.
"You know..."
Siya already knew that look.
"What?"
"One day we'll have cute little babies like them too."
Siya immediately looked around to make sure nobody had heard him.
"Krish!"
"What?"
"I'm just planning our future."
Siya shook her head while trying not to smile.
---
Meanwhile everyone kept taking pictures.
Giving blessings.
Admiring the babies.
Until Avyukt finally spoke.
"They're sleeping."
Immediately everyone became quiet.
"Fine," Ruhi whispered dramatically.
"We'll celebrate later."
---
After some time everyone went to their rooms to rest.
The house finally became peaceful.
For once.
---
Inside their room, Avyukt sat comfortably with his daughter sleeping in his lap.
His entire attention was on her.
As if the rest of the world didn't exist.
Then suddenly, in her sleep, the tiny baby wrapped her little hand around his finger.
Avyukt completely froze.
His heart melted instantly.
Across from him, Avantika sat with their son in her arms.
She noticed the scene and smiled.
Then casually said,
"Looks like the bracelet you stole from me as a child will finally be useful."
Avyukt immediately looked up.
"What?"
"You know."
His eyes widened.
"You know about that?"
Avantika laughed softly.
"Of course I know."
"I thought my bracelet got lost."
She pointed at him.
"But it turns out a certain thief had it all along."
Avyukt looked offended.
"I wasn't a thief."
"You absolutely were."
"No."
"Yes."
"I didn't steal it."
---
He looked down at his daughter before smiling.
"It fell."
"And I kept it."
"As a memory."
Avantika raised an eyebrow.
"For years?"
"For years."
"You couldn't return it?"
"I was busy."
"Busy?"
"Very busy."
"Doing what?"
Avyukt looked at her.
"Loving you."
For a second Avantika forgot what she was going to say.
Then she rolled her eyes.
"Drama king."
---
He chuckled softly.
Then looked back at his daughter.
The tiny fingers were still holding his.
Avantika smiled.
"Well..."
"Maybe it stayed with you for a reason."
Avyukt looked at her.
She nodded toward their daughter.
"Maybe it was always meant for her."
For a few moments neither of them spoke.
They simply looked at their children.
Their son.
Their daughter.
Their little family.
Then Avyukt smiled.
"Yeah."
"Maybe one day she'll wear it."
And somehow, the bracelet that had once become part of a misunderstanding...
Had now become part of their happiest memory.
