Chapter 144 The Sisters in Panic

Inside the secure walls of the Ashford estate, the morning light felt entirely cold.

Celina Quinn Mason sat rigidly on the sofa, her arms wrapped tightly around her stomach to protect the tiny life growing inside her. Her personal phone was resting on the marble table, displaying a string of failed connection alerts.

Clara walked into the room, carrying a fresh pot of herbal tea, her face clouded with an immediate, deep anxiety.

"The main lines to the Mason Industries tower are still completely unresponsive, Celina," Clara said gently, setting the tray down with a soft click.

"Dominic’s London assistants are attempting to reroute the data through a secure server in Paris, but the communication blackout over Manhattan is total."

"Carlos won the board seat, Clara... I can feel it in my bones," Celina whispered, her voice breaking as tears of pure frustration filled her eyes.

"But the cost of entry has broken everything. Teresa is hiding in some Brooklyn loft, Justin is trapped inside a dark building, and I am terrified this family war is going to destroy our lives before my baby is even born."

Clara dropped down beside her sister, pulling Celina’s shaking frame into her strong arms.

"Listen to me, Celina. You cannot allow this static to compromise your body. Dominic gave me his absolute word of honor before he boarded his jet - his alliance is strictly with Justin's throne. He is standing as your husband’s shield right now."

"But who is shielding Teresa?" Celina sobbed softly against her sister's shoulder. "Carlos used her to satisfy that will clause, Clara. He audited her heart like a corporate asset. She is out there in the rain alone, and she won't even answer my texts."

"We will find her, sister," Clara vowed fiercely, her own chin lifting with that unyielding Quinn pride. "The moment Dominic pierces the blackout, we deploy every asset we own. This sisterhood is an unbreakable masterpiece. We don't leave our blood behind."
