52. Valentina #2

I roll onto my back for a few seconds, then decide I dislike the angle and push myself upright. Moreno is already reaching for water. He hands it to me instead of holding it to my mouth.

I drink half and point at Calder. “Condom.”

His eyebrows lift. “You want to continue?”

“If you ask that in the tone of a concerned administrator, I will skip you on principle.”

The concern leaves his voice. “Do you want me?”

“Yes.”

“Then come here.”

Calder is finally back in his own voice.

He rolls the condom on while I move to the edge of the bed and stand between his knees. He starts to reach for my waist, then lets me decide the position. I turn and brace my hands on the dresser opposite the foot of the bed.

“Behind me,” I say. “Standing. No weight on me.”

Calder comes up behind me. One hand settles at my hip. The other stays at my shoulder until I take it and place it lower, between my legs.

Moreno and Max remain on the bed behind us, close enough to speak and touch when I turn back. I can see them in the dresser mirror without needing the mirror to make the scene into performance.

Calder uses lubricant, then slides into me while I control the angle by shifting my feet. He waits at every change without stopping the encounter to praise himself for waiting.

“Deeper,” I tell him.

His next thrust gives me more.

“Again.”

He does.

His hand between my legs follows my rhythm. When I want it faster, I move his wrist. When I want him to fuck me harder, I tell him exactly that.

He does not say anything about the baby, and that is what I need most. I am still a woman having sex with a man I want, not a pregnancy being handled.

Moreno comes off the bed and stands near my left side. “Want me?”

I turn my head. “Mouth.”

He kisses me while Calder keeps moving behind me. Max stays on the mattress, one hand around his own softening cock, the other reaching forward to stroke my thigh when I shift closer.

Calder’s control starts to fail in small, useful ways. His breathing changes. The hand at my hip grips harder. He shortens the stroke to keep the angle comfortable when my legs begin to tire.

“I am close,” he says.

“Then come.”

“You?”

“Not again. I am done.”

He accepts that without trying to produce another orgasm for symmetry. Several thrusts later, he comes, body tightening behind me before he stops moving. I stay braced at the dresser until he eases out.

Moreno is still hard.

I turn around and look at him. “You have been very patient.”

“I was not waiting for a turn.”

“I know.”

That is why I want what comes next.

I sit back on the edge of the bed and pull him between my knees. “I am not taking another cock inside me tonight.”

“Okay.”

“I still want you to come.”

His hand touches my jaw. “You do not owe me that.”

“I know.”

I reach for the condom packet, then stop. “Do you want one if I use my hand and mouth?”

“No.”

The answer fits the question and our established exclusivity. I put the packet back.

I stroke him while Max sits behind me and combs my hair away from my neck with his fingers. Calder brings the water to the nightstand and sits close enough that his knee presses against mine. Moreno’s hands stay at his sides until I take one and put it on my shoulder.

I use my mouth on the head of his cock, then my hand along the shaft, varying pressure because I know how quickly he can turn restraint into silence if I let him.

He tells me when he is close. I keep my mouth on him and finish him with my hand, swallowing only what reaches my tongue before drawing back.

Moreno’s hand tightens once on my shoulder and releases.

Nobody says anything for several seconds because the room finally contains the kind of caution I asked for: attention after action, not fear before it.

Max breaks first. “I would like credit for not asking about your back.”

I wipe my mouth with the towel Calder hands me. “Denied.”

“Harsh administration.”

Cleanup takes longer than the sex needs to justify.

I use the bathroom, check for any bleeding because the clinician told me to, and find none.

When I come back, Max has changed the damp pillowcase, Calder has opened a fresh bottle of water, and Moreno has put the condoms away without counting them.

I get into bed between them because I want the middle tonight.

No one asks whether that position is comfortable.

“Better,” I say.

Calder’s hand rests on the sheet near my hip. Max lies on his stomach beside me. Moreno takes the side nearest the door.

I am the one who brings up the baby.

“Three fathers,” I say.

Max turns his head. “Still if you want us.”

“I heard the correction the first time.”

Moreno says, “Good correction.”

“It was.” I look at Calder. “No one turns biology into rank later.”

“No.”

“Even if paperwork gets complicated.”

“We solve paperwork without changing the family.”

Max says, “I am willing to fight paperwork personally.”

“You would lose.”

“I would lose beautifully.”

I smile into the pillow before I can decide not to.

For two days, we have argued about pregnancy as a source of risk, rules, food, weapons, symptoms, and authority.

Lying here with sore muscles and three men who finally remembered how to touch me, I can imagine another category for it.

A child who will need feeding at inconvenient hours.

A house or rooms where toys become hazards under Max’s feet.

Moreno teaching swimming far too early. Calder discovering that infants do not respect plans.

The image is ordinary enough to frighten me less than happiness usually does.

I fall asleep before I can ruin it by examining why.

Morning arrives through the window over the courtyard. I wake with Max’s forearm across the lower part of my legs and Calder already gone from the bed to retrieve water. Moreno is at the window, looking down at the deliveries collecting near the main entrance before security sorts them.

Boxes. Grocery crates. A legal envelope. Two ordinary florist bundles for people who apparently have lives involving birthdays.

Then a larger arrangement appears in a delivery worker’s arms, extravagant enough to look wrong before I can see the details.

White roses rise above deep red orchids while the unopened bouquet passes through the first ordinary security check below.
