Our daughter lets out another loud scream as Max walks the bedroom with her tucked against his chest, one hand covering most of her back, while Calder sits on the edge of the bed with the thermometer beside him and Moreno stands near the bassinet. He’s been trying in vain to quiet her, as he has for the past fifteen minutes without success. Not that any of us have had much success truthfully.
At seven weeks old, our daughter has already taught four adults, who are usually good at solving problems, that sometimes there is no useful answer.
