Chapter 23
Chapter Twenty-Three
Zach
The week somehow both crawled and zipped by until Friday.
Work felt slower than ever. His mom called to chat on Wednesday night, and he hid in his and Kincaid’s bedroom so that she didn’t hear Amy’s voice while he was talking to her.
And his sister texted to see if he and Kincaid wanted to get together on Saturday night to meet her new boyfriend.
To which he and Kincaid had said yes. Amy was having her dress-burning party tomorrow, so getting together with his sister then worked out. Otherwise, he would have felt bad about leaving her at home alone.
Which might sound weird since it wasn’t like she was part of his and Kincaid’s relationship, but…
Their evenings during the week had been what zipped by.
Watching her watch some of his favorite movies was incredibly fun.
Though, she did yell at him every time she cried, which was more than he’d thought she would.
He was expecting a lot of yelling when they got to Infinity War and Endgame. Totally worth it.
Amy might not be part of his and Kincaid’s relationship, but she wasn’t exactly not a part of it anymore.
They’d spent every evening this week together, and neither he nor Kincaid felt like she was an intruder on their time.
In fact, it had almost been odd to go back to their room just the two of them, and when they’d had sex, he’d almost felt bad about her being alone in her room.
He’d even considered asking Kincaid how he would feel about them inviting her to join them.
He was starting to feel like he didn’t want her to ever leave.
But he couldn’t think like that.
Eventually, she was going to go.
This was temporary.
Unless everyone agreed it didn’t have to be.
Stop thinking like that.
It was way, way too soon to be thinking like that. He didn’t know if Kincaid felt the same way. Though… he thought the other man might. Kincaid was almost treating her like he did Zach when it came to being around the house, and Zach really didn’t mind.
Other than that one morning of feeling left out last weekend, this whole week, he’d adjusted to it being the three of them.
Sometimes, he and Kincaid were having their own conversation; sometimes, he and Amy were; and sometimes, Kincaid and Amy were.
And they shared whatever the third party missed once they were all together.
Living with a third person was way easier than expected, though he was pretty sure that was due to the third person being Amy. He doubted it would be like this with anyone else.
“Ready for tonight?” Kincaid asked, coming out of their closet. He and Zach had opted to wear suits for tonight. Well, Kincaid was wearing a suit jacket and pants. Zach couldn’t consider him fully dressed in a suit without the tie, which Kincaid wasn’t wearing.
Zach was wearing a full suit. Both suits were grey, though Zach’s was a steel grey and Kincaid’s more of a morning dove grey. He’d picked out a grey and navy-blue patterned tie to wear, which matched the navy-blue and silver cufflinks on his shirt sleeves and the tie clip that he was sliding on.
“Hell, yeah,” he said, admiring how Kincaid’s shoulders filled out the suit. Even if he did refuse to wear a tie, he looked hot as hell. Zach loved it when the other man dressed up. “You look good.”
Kincaid’s gaze sharpened, a slow smile spreading across his lips, and he changed course from wherever he was headed to come closer to Zach, sauntering with the cocky confidence Zach enjoyed so much.
“So do you,” he said, coming into Zach’s space.
Zach tipped his head back slightly, smiling, as Kincaid’s body pressed against his.
Kincaid’s arm wrapped around Zach’s back, pulling him fully against him as they kissed.
He groaned against Kincaid’s mouth as he felt the other man’s cock hardening against him.
His own dick thickened, lengthened, rubbing against Kincaid’s through their pants.
Devouring his mouth, Kincaid held him there for several long seconds before releasing him.
“If we don’t go now, we’ll never get out the door,” he said, his voice low and husky.
“Right, right.” Zach huffed, sighing when Kincaid let him go. They had plans for tonight. Big ones. And not just because they’d be watching Justin, Chris, and Jessica perform. “Let’s go.”
It was worth it. Amy was waiting for them in the front room, and her eyes lit up as they came in, her gaze bouncing back and forth between them like a pinball.
She hopped up from where she was sitting in the chair, facing the hallway as she waited for them, and brushed her hands down over her skirt.
They’d told her how they planned to dress so she could match them, and she did.
Some people used the back entrance of Marquis to head straight up to the club, rather than going through the front door where the restaurant was, and they tended to dress in fetgear.
Although that was always an option, it wasn’t one they would need to use tonight.
Amy’s dress was sexy as hell, but definitely not fetwear.
It was a little black dress—emphasis on little when it came to the skirt.
Made of what looked like a very soft, clinging material, it was stretched over her curves and ended just below her ass.
She’d been sitting with her knees tightly pressed together and tugged the hem of the skirt down as she stood because it threatened to ride up higher.
The neckline dipped low, showing off her cleavage, which was pushed up high with some kind of lacy bra that peeked out from beneath the dress, hinting at the sexiness beneath. Zach couldn’t wait to get the dress off her and find out exactly what it looked like.
“You look amazing,” he said, walking forward and holding out his hand to take hers. She blushed when she slipped her fingers into his, and he bent over to kiss her knuckles.
“You really do.” Kincaid came up on her other side, taking her other hand, though rather than kissing her knuckles, he lifted her hand up and turned it so he could kiss the inside of her palm.
Amy’s quick intake of breath made Zach grin.
“Um. Thank you. You guys both look great.” She managed to rally after stumbling over her words, obviously taken aback by their intense interest. “I always love a man in a suit.”
Zach chuckled.
“Well, tonight, you have two of them to enjoy.” He winked at her. “And we’re going to enjoy you. Let’s get going.”
He couldn’t wait to start.
Amy
It didn’t matter how long ago high school had been, she felt like the prom queen walking into Marquis with two men.
They’d chosen to go in the front entrance since they were all dressed for it.
More than one group of women in the dining room broke off their conversations to stare at Kincaid and Zach.
They looked damn good in their suits. Zach was all buttoned up and GQ with his neatly trimmed facial hair, while Kincaid looked a little more devil-may-care with the full-on beard and lack of tie.
The top button of his shirt was unbuttoned as well, adding to the appeal.
And she got to walk between them.
She was very aware of her short skirt and the way it was threatening to ride up her ass, but she couldn’t pull it down when she was walking between Kincaid and Zach with her hand on each of their arms. At least, not until they finally passed through the dining room, past Victor—who was guarding the stairs to the second floor—and were about to go up the stairs.
That’s when she finally let go of Kincaid’s arm and tugged the back of her skirt down.
Not that it went very far. It hadn’t started riding up over the curve of her ass the way she’d been worrying, but she still felt better.
Both men paused, looking at her with amusement. The towering heels she was wearing didn’t quite put her on eye level with them, but she wasn’t too far off.
“I’m ready.” She took Kincaid’s arm again, and he chuckled, bending his arm at the elbow so she could hold on to him.
Walking up the stairs between them was another one of those ‘princess’ moments, and she felt like it as they emerged into the lobby of Marquis’ second floor. This was where the kink happened.
The lobby was innocuous enough with lush carpet and everything decorated in red, with black-and-white art on the walls in gold frames.
The art was erotic but tasteful, titillating without exposing everything.
Behind the black desk next to the door to the theater, Freddy and Morgan were standing and grinning at her.
She pressed her lips together.
She happened to know that neither of them was originally supposed to be working the desk tonight. The schedule must have changed.
Or they’d changed it.
Since Freddy was in charge of the front desk, that was very likely.
“Hello.” Freddy was bright enough already, wearing a neon pink netted shirt and pink leather pants, but his megawatt smile somehow kicked it up another notch. His blonde hair was sticking straight up and had what looked like glitter running through it. “How are you three doing this fine evening?”
Kincaid gave him a long look.
“We’re good, Freddy, thank you,” he said dryly. “I didn’t know you were working tonight.”
“Oh. Well.” Freddy beamed again, picking up the menus for tonight’s dinner. The upstairs served the same menu as downstairs, with the caveat that if you were going to eat upstairs, you had to arrive by a certain time. They didn’t want to interrupt the show for food being brought in.
Amy had to stifle a laugh at Kincaid’s head shake. Freddy’s non-answer was so very lawyer-like, she loved it.
Sometimes, looking at him in the club, it was hard to believe he was one of the toughest divorce lawyers in the area, but she felt like that’s why he dressed the way he did at the club. This way he got to really let loose.
