Chapter 13
Matteo
I could still smell Rain’s pussy on my fingers. From the second I’d walked into Noir, my dark passenger had taken control. We were both so desperate to be inside of her, we would have taken her right there. Fucked her on the bar
Please don’t let us crash…
Using my imaginary breaks every time Carmine stopped behind a vehicle had me about to climb the damn walls.
“Please slow the fuck down,” I growled.
He was whipping his classic Chevy SS through the Seattle traffic like it was a bat flying from the belly of hell. He ignored me and continued to zoom through traffic.
Why did we ride with him again? The buzzing at the base of my skull was going crazy.
Because he suggested we ride with him, I reminded my Corsican.
I could sense him sneering . He can’t drive for shit.
I’m aware, just…relax.
We’re going to be picking glass out of our skin if he doesn’t slow down soon, my entity was threatening to take over my body and beat the shit out of Carmine.
“So, what was that about at the bar back there?” Carmine asked slamming the breaks.
A Prius in front of us was sitting at a green light, oblivious. He hit the horn, and it blared loudly through the car. Whoever was driving in front of us stuck their middle finger out the window.
“Fuck you, buddy!” Carmine’s voice had changed into a full blown roar, the power inside of him flaring to life briefly. “Hold on!”
“Huh?”
Confusion clouded my face and before I knew it, my brother was on the car’s ass. As soon as he had the chance, he floored it. The sleek black Chevy crossed over the double lines and passed the Prius. I had my window down and could hear the driver of the cussing us out over the wind that was gliding over the car.
Finally, as we pulled away from the traffic, I responded. “What was what about?”
“You, and Rain,” Carmine was so pointed in how he responded sometimes.
“There’s nothing going on,” I shrugged.
He finally looked over as we maneuvered up his driveway. I breathed a sigh of relief at seeing my own car. Mason was here as well, sitting on the railing of Carmine’s porch. He was smoking a cigarette, the smoke was curling in the air.
Never again, my Corsican groaned.
“I don’t think so,” Carmine stepped out of his car after parking.
I followed suit and closed the door. Part of me wanted to drop to my feet and kiss the ground. There had been a possibility of never seeing sweet, solid earth ever again.
“Nothing, I promise!”
Jogging up the steps behind Carmine, I saw Mason pulling on his cigarette long and hard.
“I thought you quit?” It was more of a question than a statement.
Mason snapped, “I did!”
Carmine and I looked at each other before we all followed inside the already open door. Something was clearly bothering him and once he started spilling his guts, he had us wincing.
Carmine tossed his keys down onto the countertop before reaching into the stainless steel refrigerator. “So, let me get this straight….Nora missed her period.”
Mason rubbed at his neck, and I could tell he was itching for more nicotine. “Yes.”
I grinned. “You called us from the bar because of this?”
He slammed his hand down on the table. “I’m not ready to be a fucking father. Not until I kill Augustus.”
“Wow…” Carmine slid us both cold beers. “So, you been shooting up this woman’s club and not using protection?”
Mason groaned. “Shut the fuck up before I whoop your ass.”
Carmine smiled that crazy smile. He loved to fight more than he loved to fuck. My Corsican yawned at the two of them sizing each other up. Carmine began to bounce on his toes. The last thing I wanted to do was spar. My thoughts turned back to Rain. She was never far from my mind, and I hated it. Tonight, I’d gotten so close to her. I could still taste her pussy on my lips.
Spy on her, my Corsican whispered to me.
That’s intrusive, I whispered back.
Following my brother’s down into the gym area, I knew I needed to get in on this action. It would help to calm the voice inside of my head. Making my Corsican focus would help me keep control. Ever since he’d woken his ass up, I’d been keeping a spare gym bag here.
“I wanna spar first,” I began to roll my shoulders.
“With who?” Mason asked.
I grinned, walking over to the green gym bag. “Both of you fuckers. Let’s go.”
A sly look passed between my siblings, and I didn’t like that shit. They were underestimating me. I could tell by the way their eyes were glinting with amusement
Carmine frowned, this time doubt overtaking his features. “I don’t think you’re ready for all that.”
Ignoring them both, I stripped quickly, the zipper on the bag sounding like someone dragging their nails on denim. Throwing on the gray SeaHawks shorts that had compression shorts sewn in as an under layer. There was nothing worse than your dick jangling around while trading punches with your brothers.
There was a huge blue mat in the middle of Carmine’s gym. I stepped onto it surveying them both.
“Are you sure about this?” Mason’s eyes showed his Corsican had already moved into the driver’s seat.
In fact, I could feel it the moment Carmine’s did the same.
Show them, my Coriscan whispered. Make them-
Carmine came at me from the left, full speed and landed the first blow.
Fuck, I thought.
You suck at this, my Corsican laughed echoing in my head while I saw stars.
Taking a deep breath, I bounced out of the way.
“You alright, bro?” Carmine asked tauntingly. “Or is this too much for you?”
A growl tore loose from my lips, and I moved to swing on him, but he was out of reach.
Relax a little, my Corsican murmured to me and instantly I felt my body fall under his command. He wanted to drive so badly but I had started to enjoy the moment.
Carmine danced out of reach as Mason came in next landing several blows.
“We tried to warn you,” Mason sneered.
His dark entity wasn’t as playful as Carmine’s. Mason could have been a real boogeyman if he wanted to be.
I landed on my back with a painful thud. My breath caught in my throat, and I started to cough.
Let me drive, he whispered.
Fuck it, I sighed.
It happened in an instant, and it was like I was looking through a window of my own body. Staring down it was as if I’d never seen my own hands before. Mason took advantage and tried to knock my fucking lights out. Instinctively, I caught his fist in my own.
Shock rolled over his face, and he snatched his hand away.
“What was that you were saying?” My voice came out sounding like a roar.
Mason and Carmen nodded to each other, and they both came in swinging as if they wanted to teach me a lesson about fucking with them.
It was like watching a movie as my body went through the motions so fast, I didn’t quite understand how I was doing it. They were barely landing punches and when they did, I didn’t feel them.
Before I knew it, my body was maneuvering through the air, and I found myself landing behind my brothers. Turning I began to bounce on my feet. Left, then right. Then back to my left before stopping all together, a strange sensation building through my body.
“What the fuck?” Mason glanced at Carmine.
Fucking pretty boy, my Corsican thought.
Suddenly, I didn’t know how it happened, but my Corsican had our hand out. Th words were tumbling out of my mouth before I could stop them. “Bend to me…”
Mind over matter, I thought.
I found my brother dropping to his knees, his face twisting in agony.
“Was it fun?” The voice ripped out me. “To tease me over what is mine?”
Hey, I thought. What are you doing?
Mason began to look back and forth between Carmine and myself, his face unsure of what was happening. I could smell the fear in the room.
“Stooopppp it,” Carmine began to cry out in pain.
“What the fuck are you doing?” Mason asked, still confused. “Matteo, what are you doing?”
My Corsican was still pissed off and waiting for an answer. “Not until he answers me.”
You’re truly hurting him, I whispered.
Shut the fuck up. You’re weak, my dark entity spat out. They must kneel before me.
“Matty you have to stop, whatever you’re doing you’re hurting him,” Mason’s voice became frantic.
“Do not flirt with Rain again,” my voice roared out sounding so extremely foreign. My fingers began to curl as if they were wrapping around something invisible.
Carmine dropped to his knees clawing at his throat. He began to gasp for air…
It was then my entity left the chat. He slipped out of my mind and retreated to wherever it was that he went.
I stumbled back, rocking on my heels trying to steady myself.
“What in the fuck!” My brother’s blue eyes stared into my own.
Carmine’s skin had turned so red, and Mason’s face was worried as he helped him to his feet.
Staring at my hands, I could barely recognize them. Suddenly, I was grabbing my gym bag and leaving my brothers behind. “I’m…I’m sorry.”
Mason called out to me, but it fell on deaf ears. I wanted and needed to be alone because I was terrified of what was inside of me. I’d gone from being the normal brother to being a fucking weirdo with something I couldn’t control.
Scrambling, I got out of the Carmine’s house feeling claustrophobic, as if the walls were caving in. I swerved around through traffic with Mason blowing my phone up but I kept hitting the end call button.
I didn’t want to think about how I’d just choked my brother.
I think, fear was seeping in like a tea bag in hot water.
When I was finally home and alone taking a shower, I started to relax. The buzzing that was usually present when I let my Corsican out wasn’t around. I figured he didn’t want to talk and I was fine with that. There was nothing he could say that would make me alright with what he’d just done.
Throwing on some old sweats, I finally crashed on the couch. I was tired and a yawn popped out of my mouth. Sparing with two full strength Corsicans had me ready to pass out. Putting a movie on low, my eye lids got heavier than they’d gotten in a long time.
I could feel myself dreaming….
